I keep coming back to my Aveda products! I love the strong earthy smell of this product! It gives me a lot of shine and some frizz control and seems to moisturize too. I notice if I use to much my hair gets to greasy and I don't use it near the roots. I need to wash my hair more frequently, but overall good results. I will continue to repurchase..

I wasn't too impressed by this stuff. Honestly, the price is way too much for the quality. I believe I paid $30 total at a day spa for this. It has a lot of silicones and after awhile I began to tire of the perfume smell. It has rice bran oil so perhaps that is the smell I couldn't stand. I'm going to donate it to Goodwill, maybe someone else would like it. I wouldn't recommend you waste money on it, you can find drugstore serums that are just as good for less.

I THINK this is pretty similar to what I have, but I couldn't find an exact listing. Mine is more of a serum with a pump but otherwise looks and sounds almost like the same thing.
Regardless, it's one of my HG hair products. You really can't use much or you'll look greasy. I only use it on the ends after flat ironing and it makes my hair look shiny and fantastic.

This product works great! I dont use it everyday, and my one bottle has lasted me a few years. I put it in my hair when its wet and then blow dry it, and it still works good. I only use half a pump as too much can make your hair look slightly greasy. Just use sparingly and it will be totally worth it!

Great shine but doesn't control any frizz. Don't put too much on or it will weigh hair down and make it look fake shiny (even my thick wavy hair). Very expensive so because I don't notice a huge difference in quality of this product over a john frieda frizz ease I won't be buying it again.

I received this stuff from a friend who LOVES Aveda everything, thank goodness cause it is ridiculously expensive. I use it after I have styles my hair, usually 2 to 3 sprays all over. It does a nice job of giving my hair a shiny apperance with a just stepped out of an Aveda salon & spa smell. I have used way less expensive shining serums that deliver the same finish (minus that distinctive smell). continued >>

I use a little bit of this just before flat ironing. It's heavily scented but the scent itself isn't too bad. It keeps my hair smooth and adds some protection from the heat of the iron. The little bottle goes a long way.

After reading several reviews on this, I had to try it. Tames frizzies? Smoothes hair? Shine? Smells amazing? Yes, yes, yes, yes! This is one of the BEST serums/glosses that I have used. Everytime I use it I have to stick my hair up to my nose and smell the fabulous Aveda scent. A little goes a long way, so I convinced myself that it is worth the price. Re-purchase for sure!

This is one of the few products I have used and been loyal to for years. The smell is what drew me in, the product performance keeps me coming back. The smell is a wonderful, unique Aveda scent. The gloss works if I am wearing my hair blown out - reducing 'puffy' hair and smoothing flyaways. If I'm going curly, it helps keep the curl defined. In both cases, it helps with resisting humidity and the shine is incredible! Too much can make straight hair appear greasy, but for my corkscrew curls, it's tough to use too much. Two pumps is generally what I work with. $24.50 for 2.5 oz and it lasts a long time.

For the size- 2.5 ounces, it is some expensive stuff. (Thankfully, friends are hairdressers, because this is not worth $25!) The little pump is quite convienent but I don't see the serum doing any magical wonders. I don't see it helping tame frizzies and it scares me to apply too much in fear of a greasy mess. When applied with the right amount, it does boost shine- which can sometimes be hard to do with blonde hair. It does last for a while, as well. I prefer a shine spray though.

Works wonderfully after I blowdry and flat iron my hair especially on the ends of the hair which can look a little dry on the first day of a blowout. Smooths and adds shine. The spray aspect is really nice too -provides a nice, even, fine mist. Nice smell - not too strong.

Over the years I've collected loads of styling products to try and control my wavy thick hair, but this is the only one I've stuck with. I love it. When I can't be bothered to straighten my wild hair adding this to it really smooths it out and makes it look respectable. When I add it to my straightened hair it makes it look fabulously glossy and healthy. A really great product.

This product has been in my bag of favorites for about 5 years now. I used to work for Aveda and of course tried nearly all products but didn't have success with most of them..... this product being the exception. It can be used on practically any type of hair simply by controlling the amount you apply. It adds sleek shine, softness and the infamous Aveda scent. It takes a very minimal amount and a bottle lasts forever so don't shy away from the price. It's worth it.

As of lately I have been on a mission to find the best products for my dry, frizzy, slightly coarse hair. I have even gone as far as applying a different product on each side of my hair at the same time. This gloss so far as "out shined" all of them. (I tested it with Fredrick Fekkai Olive Glossing Creme, Bain De Terre Recovery Complex and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum)
I also like the fact that I can re-apply this gloss over several days and there is no oily/dulling build-up...a problem I had with the others. I will say the Paul Mitchell serum is great to use on damp hair first, then blow dry..and apply the Aveda finishing gloss.
This gloss does a great job of providing a protective barrier on the hair shaft without evaporating soon after you applied it. I can see how this would be very good for you hair, as well.
The scent is very nice, too.
Very happy to have found this product.

I love this product...I have tested so many serums out there and I just love this one...It smells devine. I only use 2 pumps before flat ironing and then about 1 more after the flat iron......I have a lot of hair and this leaves it shiny, glossy, and much healthier looking. I love it...Yummy scent...Great results....

Use only 1-2 pumps of this! It's a great conditioning serum. My stylist first used it on me in the Aveda Salon. I couldn't believe how beautiful my hair looked after she blow dried it. I always steer clear of the blow dryer at home because my hair comes out a frizzy, puffy mess. I am black American with relaxed hair so I don't wash my hair daily and usually wash every 3 days instead. I look for products that won't build up on my hair since I do have to go a bit between washings.
I was reading that a lot of people here found this product too heavy and greasy....I think you are just using too much.
My stylist told me to ONLY use 1-2 pumps and she mixed it with barely a smidge of the Anti-humectant pomade before she blow dried me. I use this product at home every other day. I will just take 1 pump --rub my hands together and run it over my hair. It leaves my hair so beautiful, with a nice healthy sheen and and wonderful smell.
My stylist also told me to dab/massage with finger a a little of this on whenever I feel an itch on my scalp. This product truly nourishes me hair and makes it stay soft between washings. I never have dry or frizzy hair.
I get salon styled hair at home when I use this product. It's a staple for me!

This is my all time favorite hair product, I can't live without it! If I blow my hair out it gives me great just came from the salon blow out look with terrific shine. I have very thick and long hair and only need two drops, rub my hand together and run my fingers through my hair, it looks terrific. I am lucky to have a natural just came from the beach wave to my hair, I scrunch my dry waves with some of this in my hands for a great shine and to tame the fly aways. Smells great too! Don't use too much or your hair will look oily!

This was a greasier version of Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid, which was a complete disappointment.

This product does nothing in terms of de-frizzing. I honestly do not see the point of shine when you have a head full of frizzy hair. Each strands of hair stand alone and if you apply more the hair will look greasy.

After a week my hair is looking very dry. I suspect this is a side effect of this product as I am not using anything else. I am looking for someone to offload this product on. Never buying another Aveda product again.

This one of my few Aveda HG products. I do truly love this product and can not live without it. I once left a bottle of this at the beach and truly almost cried. I was just out of college and the $20 per bottle might as well have been $100. Anyway - it lasts forever. I've had my current bottle for well over a year and a half and it's only about 1/2 gone. This is the perfect product regardless of your style to add gloss and shine to your hair. Use sparingly! The smell is absolutely hypnotic. Love it!!!!

Wow! This stuff smells awesome, gives hair a glassy gleam and lasts forever. I've had it for years and I'm barely halfway through. You do not need a lot of product to get a nice sheen, and again it smells like an exotic perfume. Highly recommended! I took off one lippie because it coats my chemically relaxed hair instead of sinking in and moisturizing, but I still love this.
