I got it for free when I turned in my 6 empty foundation bottles so I LOVED the price. It looks initially like a pale bubblegum pink in the tube but it has a blueish/ hologram-ish look to it. When I put some on the back of my hand it was so pretty (At least that's how I describe it.) I rarely wear lip color because I play up my eyes and when I do I stick to a color that is close to my natural lip color . (Rosy nudes/corals/pinks) That being said I really liked how this looked layered on top of the lip gloss I was wearing ( Ulta Brilliant Color Plush #15). It came out a fun flirty shimmery pink. I personally can't stand when lips look flush with skin so this alone would absolutely do that for me but as a light top coat for other glosses/ lip sticks it gives an interesting lilac tinted shade. I picked it in mind for my bday trip to Las Vegas this week.
I wouldn't buy it again because it wouldn't be an everyday look for me. I used my free lipstick pick on it because it was such a fun color and mainly the name is perfect! I couldn't resist!

I love this lipstick, I used to wear snob but switched to pervette because the lilac under tone compliments my green eyes and purple eye shadow. I have black hair, tan skin, and green eyes and it isn't too frosty for me perfect girly pink, A bit drying but a swipe of gloss fixes it.

Too blue a pink for my complexion...would probably suit a cool blond but on my lips, it looked too too pink and frosty even though it's a glaze...should stick to nudes...

This color is gorgeous! I generally don't gravitate toward glaze lipsticks (other than Hue) because I feel like the color payoff just isn't worth it, but this one is great. I swatched it last week, just out of curiosity, and fell in love. I've been looking for a light purple toned lipstick for ages and I was so disappointed when I missed out on Quite Cute, but this is a great color. I've worn it with natural makeup and darker makeup and it looks great either way, very fitting color for spring and summer. And I think layered over a slightly darker lip pencil it will be a great color for fall, as well. 4 lippies because it tends to look a little too frosty sometimes, but the pale violet color is just heavenly.

I have always loved this color but I do not use it as often as I like. I bought my first tube in 2008 and I pretty much fell in love with it immediately. Back then my hair was a different color and I did my eye makeup differently. When I ran out I did buy another tube. I think I'm on my third tube now. I find that when I wear this color I like to have a smoky eye. I think it's gorgeous by itself but it's very pale and violet. If you're not careful you can look dead with too little makeup on elsewhere. It isn't the best wearing lipstick, but it feels nice enough and it looks awesome in pictures (sexy and frosty). I usually wear it on special occasions.

Picked this up today while on my hunt for a lippie to wear w/ my purple eyeshadows. I only had plummy purples & they just didn't go w/ the vibrant purple e/s's. So i was trying on different shades at the counter & saw this one. Normally light pink is a big no no for me but i saw the purple duo-chrome & gave it a shot. Its not something im going to wear daily but it does look good w/ my purples so im happy. continued >>

I don't know why so many brown skinned ladies on here are having such difficulty with this lippie. I absolutely LOVE this color. By itself, it isn't anything amazing, but you have to know how to work with it. I pair it with either MAC lipliner in Magenta or NYX lipliner in Purple Rain. I line my lips with the liner and pair it with Pervette. The end result is a beautiful pink/purple lipcolor that really pops and looks beautiful against my skin (NC50/C8 for reference). I am smitten with the color and I will definitely repurchase when I run out!

This is one of my favorite lipsticks! I love the color, its very wearable. It gives me a subtle color if I don't get happy and over apply it! Lol I said the price is dirt cheap only because I have never paid for a mac lipstick, all my lipsticks are due to the back 2 mac deal so they are free! Can't get any better then that. But I love this color, I would pay cash for it if needed. Its a keeper! ;-)

i like this lipstick a lot, especially when being used with a smokey eye. it's pretty sheer & a little difficult to build, but sometimes, that's all you need :) continued >>

My mom gave me Mac's Pervette Lipstick. It's the glazed lipstick with a shimmery pink-purple shade. I tried it on and instantly didn't like it. It's too purply for me and doesn't make me look right. I wouldn't purchase this again but I love the packaging. This lipstick probably depends on what you wear too.

This is not one of my favorite MAC lipsticks. It's very sheer, but it adds a pearly, iridescent finish to my lips with a hint of pink that isn't terribly flattering. It is very cool and frosty, which can work in the right look, but my problem is with coverage. It doesn't seem to apply evenly. Maybe if I used a brush, it would look better.
It looks better layered over other lipsticks for a dimensional look.

Not sure even how to wear this. NEVER reach for it. Makes my lips look tiny. Just wierd.

I like the color, but I don't reach for it much. It's a very unique color, pink with purple shimmer on top. However, on the lips, it appears as a frosty lilic color, which doesn't look too good on me. I guess it's probably just a picky color that I have to do the exactly right eye look to pull this off. Once in a while, I will put this on and I like it overall... I won't repurchase it though because I don't think I will ever finish this one I have.

This is a lovely but very understated colour, and for that reason its not really for me. I love high pigment bright lipsticks (like saint germain) but was looking for something a little more subtle and low key but this isn't for me! And it fell to pieces on me inside its lipstick tube after only one or two uses, so overall not very impressed, and deciding glazes aren't for me! Its probably a colour better put on over the top of another lipstick rather than on its own.

This is a really pretty, understated color. I started using this color to ween myself off bright pink lipsticks. However, I came back to them! For people who like nudish colors, but want them to be flattering and girly, this is a perfect choice. Not too sparkly, like the dazzle colors though, and has a nice smooth finish. SO cheap too! Good buy!

Despite its suggestive name, Pervette is a sweet, pale, sheer, girly, frosty lavender-pink. It looks good with a tan and good with pale skin, too. I confess i was hoping for something a bit more extremely lavender blue, but this has stolen my heart. It plays nicely alone and works well over darker lipsticks, too, to lighten and brighten them up.

I see this lipstick as being either hit or miss. It would probably work fine for fairer skin, but, as a dark-skinned person, I find that it takes a little more effort for me to pull it off. The color shows up as a kind of metallic pale pink with a strange gray undertone, which can look as if you're wearing a gray eye pencil on your lips. However, I find that pairing this lipstick with a pink gloss like baby sparks dazzleglass or another pink lipstick reduces the gray undertone, making it more wearable. Overall, I actually like this lipstick even though I can't wear it on its own. I'm not exactly in love with it though. It's a unique, edgy color that I often wear when I go for more daring looks. I wouldn't repurchase this just because there are lots of other more wearable MAC pinks, and I wouldn't recommend this for darker skinned people.
EDIT: I actually don't reach for this lipstick at all. It's just not a good color for me. The silvery/violet undertones are too strange and make me look like I'm going to a circus. This is fit for dressing up on Halloween, not for everyday. It's one of the crappier mac lipsticks.

I looked like a cyborg prostitute.
It doesn't help that the lipstick feels like it's exfoliating. Application always looks uneven, dirty, gritty, etc.
Disgusting..

I picked this up sort of by accident while I was waiting for my sister to get her false lashes applied at the MAC counter. We were randomly testing lipsticks and I tried this on the back of my hand and was immediately hooked. I love pale, iridescent lip colors and this is just gorgeous. Others have described it so well... that pale, icy pink-lavender that just looks ethereal and pouty all at once. I love swiping a layer on naked lips and it's just beautiful. I can never remember to layer lipsticks or lipglosses for unusual effects but I can see how this would be a great addition to other colors. Personally I love it all on it's own.
It smells good to me. I haven't been wearing my MAC lipsticks that much lately and I forgot how much I enjoy the brand's particular lipstick scent. The formula doesn't feel drying and it lasts a good amount of time, as well as any other lipstick. The sheer quality with the shimmer is great as it fades because it's not as obvious as a more opaque color. Great price too. I would buy another when I run out.

I absolutely love this lipstick! I bought this while I was browsing the lipsticks at MAC while waiting for my friend to pick a nude lipstick. I usually hate straight-out pink lipsticks but I was blown away by the blue sheen of it, it's like Stars n' Rockets for the lips. It looks mauve and lavender-ish on my lips. This looks wicked over Petals n' Peacock from the Liberty of London collection. I love layering this with other lipsticks, since I'm gravitated towards brighter colours, but this lipstick is certainly is stellar.
