giving it a 4 for the scent and because it's not very thick and goopy (still a little tad heavy for me though). i can understand why to most of you, it's a lightweight moisturizer. but in singapore's HOT & HUMID climate, this is more than enough. it takes a while to sink in so it's something i use only when i have the time. the lotion smells a lot more like angel than the perfume, imo. (but i've only tested a small sample of the perfume so i can't be too certain.) it's a very lovely gourmand scent that morphs into a soft powdery floral after some time (i usually hate powdery florals but this is quite nice) continued >>

I bought this based on reviews here, and because it was on sale. It is nice, softly scented, moisturizes ok - more of a summer moisturizer for me, as I like something heavier in the winter.
The scent reminds me of some cocoa butter lotions, kind of sweet but not overwhelmingly so. I do not pick up anything floral in it. It DOES last, though, and that is what is important to me, since I do not wear alot of perfume. I put it on about 11 hours ago and I can still detect it on my skin, about half as strong as it was after first applying. I think that this scent would go well with some of the musk oils I like to wear.

Currently my favourite fragranced lotion. For some reason I like this even more than the perfume itself. It's very long-lasting and a little goes a long way with me. Some have mentioned that the consistency is thin... but I like it, and find that it absorbs really quickly and easily into my skin (especially dry winter legs). My SO always nibbles me when I'm wearing this!

This fragrance has been a staple since it first debuted in 2003. It does have a musky floral light cocoa scent, which remains strong long after application. I felt the need to add this review as I used this fresh from the shower last night and I cannot be believe how incredibly soft and smooth my skin feels almost a day later. Its not a thick consistency and packs more of a moistening punch than first imagined. A definite must have if you enjoy Hollywood Pink.

I'm really not sure what to make of this lotion. Am I really reviewing the same product as other MUAers here? Because I get not the barest whisper of chocolate, caramel or 'foody' from this lotion. On me, this smells like a softly musky floral with undertones of baby powder and fresh washed linen. It is clean, soft, inoffensive, and utterly unappealing. I can imagine my grandma finding this scent pleasurable and though I love my grandmother dearly, I do NOT wish to smell like a sweet 80 year-old woman with a penchant for baking. In fact, wearing this lotion always makes me feel a tad depressed. It's just so....blah. Other reviewers have likened it to Thierry Mugler's Angel but because I've never tried Angel, I really can't comment on how similar they are. But if Angel smells anything like what Hollywood Pink does on me, you can bet I'll be steering clear of it. As a lotion, this product performs well. It's adequately moisturizing and leaves skin very soft. The scent, however, lingers far too long for me to use this on a regular basis. I might decide to swap it away or, I don't know, I might just give it to my grandma. EDIT 11/2/2007: After using this for a while now, I'm beginning to pick up hints of chocolate and caramel that the other reviewers mentioned. However, this is in no way blatantly obvious so if you're looking for a lotion that screams 'foody', try BBW's Wickedly Hot Chocolate Temptation instead. Hollywood Pink is more of a chocolate floral, subtly cheeky and seductively feminine. I've bumped up the rating from 2 lippies to 3, and am really starting to enjoy using it on a daily basis. However, I still don't think it's so great that I'd repurchase.

Personally, I was disappointed to find upon the arrival of the product that the lotion really did not smell like chocolate, as advertised. However, when applied, the scent is actually quite nice itself, and lasts for a long time.
My complaints are that the packaging is way too plain for the price, and the lotion is on the watery, runny side. Otherwise, it's quite nice.

Received the lotion with the perfume (set) and it really helps the perfumes staying power, lotion absorbs nicely and leaves skin soft and lightly scented. A nice quality lotion. Smells just like the perfume.

I really like the hollywood pink body lotion. I think for the price it does a fairly good job. Moisturizes well and the scent last for ages

This is amazing lotion. It smells awesome and it really works! It makes my skin so soft and it lasts quite a while. The bottle is rather boring looking, but I don't really care. It's the stuff inside that counts!!!

I purchased this to layer with the HP fragrance mist. Although it is a bit runny, it does a good job of moisturizing my skin, plus it makes the fragrance last on me for a complete 8 hour workday. I took off one lippie because I prefer a more creamier lotion, but it serves the purpose for why I purchased it.

I love this! I put the lotion on my arms this morning and 7 hours later I can still smell it. I've been using this since it came out. I won the shower syrup from an Allure giveaway and I turned around and bought the lotion right after I used the shower syrup for the first time.

Mmm I'm in love. While I need to streamline my bath collection this is staying. Smells heavenly, like a soft enveloped cloud of musk&, a little bit of chocolate. Le sigh. It's wonderful. Now if only I had somebody special to wear it for. Treat yourself to this for the Holidays it's a great festive scent for X-mas/fall/winter. And I could see this being used in the summertime too. continued >>

I LOVE this scent! I does smell like a cheaper version of Angel - great for mixing and layering. The lotion is pretty oily, and bottle tends to clog - but I love the scent.

I got this on a whim from my Avon Lady. Last night I was feeling particularly grungy after the gym, and took a shower using the Hollywood Pink shower syrup, then applied the body lotion. I was enveloped in a warm, yummy, but not too strong cloud of sweet scent. I get notes of vanilla, chocolate, sugar, and a hint of musk. I like foody scents, but when they're too strong (like Hanae Mori) they give me a headache. This, however, is a totally wearable, sweet scent that makes me smell and feel girly and delicious. The packaging is cute, and for such a nice, fairly complex scent it's dirt cheap. Lasting power is good, without being overwhelming when first applied. I can see this being a good daily alternative when I'm just not feeling like my usual Chanel, or for pampering nights. I will likely repurchase this. I wil probably run out of the shower syrup before the lotion and restock on it.

I used to love this light floral/chocolate mixture. But after a few months of not using it, I came back to it. I tried it just around the house at night and I was informed it stunk. I couldn't agree more.

Although I didn't buy this, just got it in a swap. I can't see it as being "expensive". The only reason I WOULDN'T repurchase is I have so many lotions and perfumes it would be silly to! OK on with the comments on this. After reading reviews I thought "OOOOH yeah, I KNEW it smelled familiar! (Angel)". It DOES smell like Angel, but NOT AS STRONG! It WICKED (Boston word!) reminds me of Xia Xiang...not sure if anyone remembers that scent! But it brings me back to my 80's days! The lotion can be worn alone and like another reader, the lotion is tres runny! Like Pink Sugar, the smell is to be "aquired" and I don't think it is for all! It is 3-4 though.... nice scent, wouldn't be my signature, but still nice! Oh, and NO chocolate, caramel OR foody scent...,much more oriental...I don't even smell sugary sweet "girlie" Pink Sugar in this either...closest comparasin would be TH Angel AND XIA XIANG!

Ok. After reading the reviews of this lotion and its scent, I almost have to wonder if we are talking about the same product. But alas, we are. I did not get chocolate, or "foody" or even floral out of this lotion. It reminded me vaguely of patchouli or bug spray--and after I put it on, very strongly reeked of it. I had to get in the shower because I couldn't stand the smell. Definitely not for me :-\

This is a very nice scent. When I ordered it I expected to be more 'teenager' since it was the Mark line, but it's a nice scent. The others have described it fully. I, too, am surprised that this is an Avon product. I might have to try more of their fragrances now.

I am in love with this fragrance. I can't believe it's Avon... Wearing this just makes me feel happy. Sure I love TM's "Angel," but this seems to be a "lite" version thereof, and of course, it is worthy of praise! I wish Avon/Mark would expand the line to more products... talc, roll on, bubble bath, anti-perspirant, etc.
