Nothing fantastic about this cleansers. When i first started using it , it stings my cheek badly. After a few try it was fine but i won't repurchase cause i believe there are better , cheaper cleanser out there

I love this product, so mild but cleans well. Also I feel my face skin so smooth after rinsing.Actually I have tried some other products from Biotherm but they are SO soso;but this DETOX series really give me SURPRISE! Only found out that perhaps now this product might have been discontinued in the market...

I'm on my 3rd tube of this blue, gritty wonder cleanser & I'm never giving it up (Biotherm you better not discontinue this baby!!). My only complaint is the tube is so tough (the plastic) it's hard to squeeze the last bits out so I end up wasting a lot. On the plus side it's like a fine exfoliator & cleanser in 1; however, don't use around your eye area or you'll feel it - literally, you'll get little gritty bits in your eyes - trust me I know, I was lazy once & got it in my eyes, it certainly didn't tickle:( I also like it's not super-duper foamy, & so is more manageable to maneuver around my face. & it goes without say - I'm repurchasing!! continued >>

Like the reviewer before me already said, this is not like the most cleansers out there, this has extrafine micro-thingys in it, and glides on smoother on your skin. After washing it off your face, you'll feel like you've just been born again! xD
Has a nice smell to it, but once it gets around your eye-area, your eyes will BURN, literally lol. Would buy again!

I LOVE this cleanser! Unlike most scrubbing cleansers out there, this does not have "microbeads" - it has "microparticles". These microparticles are actually extremely finely ground pumice, and they do a much better job of exfoliating than microbeads, as they very evenly scrub the skin. Surprisingly, these microparticles are also extremely gentle.
I have dry/combo skin that is very sensitive and tends to get flaky. Using this cleanser in the morning keeps me from being so flaky, and keeps my skin smooth without overdrying. As with any scrub, it is best to rinse thoroughly and use moisturizers afterward.
My only complaint about this product is that, about halfway through the tube, I have a really hard time squeezing it out. Other than that, I am completely hooked, and will continue to use it as a vital step of my daily routine.

I love this cleanser. I use it only at night when I feel that my skin needs special cleaning or before a treatment (eg. masking). It cleans my skin well and leaves it feeling really soft. It definitely helps me to extract my blackheads after using this. I usually leave it on for about 5-10 mins before washing it off. I think this is suitable for normal to oily skin but not for dry skin. Definitely will repurchase, I think it's worth the price because I only need to use a little each time, as water is required to mix with the clay.
EDIT: I found this pales in comparison to Laneige Multi-Cleanser.

I got this as a sample with another purchase. I normally use Neutrogena's Blackhead Eliminating Daily Exfoliator, which I really love, but found this Biotherm cleansing foam did nothing but dry my cheeks. I love how it smells, but that's just about it.

I got a sample tube of the cleanser with a recent Biotherm purchase, and I think it's not bad. Pleasant Biotherm-marine scent, not too harsh, not too foamy (more milky in my case) and I like the little granules. Only thing I don't like is the after-feel, as if I have a layer of heavy powder on my face, and that's a big no-no for my skin. I like the sample. but this is not a buy.

Ive only been using this cleanser for a few days and i really like it. This doesnt really foam too much. IT has a clay like consistency, and i like the smell. I have combo sensitive acne prone skin with occasional cystic acne. When i read the reviews on here i was concerned that this would have granules in it like an exfoliator, thus putting me off. Since i usually have some breakouts i cant use anything too harsh. TO my surprise this cleanser does not have granules its a super fine powder that doesnt irritate my skin. When i rinse my face does not feel tight or uncomfortable, just clean. I would not use this to remove makeup I dont think its meant for that. at 18.50 not bad. ive spent so much more like my chanel purete at 36.00 that just dried out my skin.

I don't know how to say this. I used to be a big fan of Biotherm. I saw my friend who had a lot of acne, but got her skin cleared up by using the Biotherm, I was skeptic about it until I tried a sample of the Detoxifying Cleansing Foam. It was amazing. It cleaned better than Skincare (shiseido) that it leaves less residue on my face. So I switched my cleanser from Shiseido to Biotherm. And it was really good for two years. My face was always unbeatably smooth, clean, and clear after using this.
However, after the two years, when I was having a trip at a cold place, this product began to fail. I started to have non-stop break-outs probably due to poor hygiene or the imbalance of hormones due to environmental change. People told me not to scrub (microbeads in Detoxifying Cleansing Foam) my face during this time, because the scrub might burst the acne and spread the bacteria. So, I stopped using biotherm and threw away all the cosmetics I had. I got some Herbal tea that seemed to regulate my hormones level, while purchasing a new set of treatment targeting acne. After a month, my face get better. However, after that experience, I try to stay out of daily cleanser that has microbeads.

I got a sample of this. Tried it for a week. Excellent! So I bought the actual thing. The cleanser is clayish. blue with tiny exfoliating grains. Smells nice. Lathers well. I dont think you should use this around the eye area because it has that exfoliating property. Skin feels very clean n soft after some time, combined with Hydra Detox Clarifying Toner. Mild enough to be used twice a day, for me. The problem with the packaging is that the tube is rather hard to squezze because its hard. And the flip top broke after some time, so i had to make sure i put it into a air tight seal bag to prevent leakage when travelling. Very hard to know how much is left and hard to get the last bits. So I had to cut it open to get the last bits of the cleanser, which is quite alot! helps to reduce my acne and white heads, but I dont think its a makeup remover so you should remove makeup before you use this. Expensive..but a tube will last forever. Mine lasted for 8 months.

I used this product first as a sample and just loved it. A little skeptical at first to use anything by Biotherm (not a big fan) I soon found that the sample lasted me what seemed like ages. I bought the tube and sure enough it lasted well over a year. My skin felt fresh and smooth after each use, and it did that without being harsh to my combination with rosacea skin complexion. I would recommend it and the huge size is worth the money. Edit: maybe too much with retinA though, or during winter months, but still worth buying.

Have used this cleanser for almost two weeks, but i find that it is not suitable for my skin. I have oily/combination skin with outbreak of acne occasionally. I also live in a humid country with summer throughout the whole year. This cleanser has indeed made my skin softer and smoother, and i could feel that my skin is thoroughly clean after washing with it. But I feel that the micro-powder is too fine and not exfoliating enough for my skin type. Maybe it's because of this reason that i feel that it has caused me to have outbreak of acne more than usual. For some people, this cleanser may suit them but for me, this definitely does not suit me. I have since stopped using it and will definitely not repurchase it.

A little of this goes a long, long way! Lots of foaming bubbles and a nice smell. I only need to use a little moisturizer after washing my face. I've used this for a year and think it works well for my oily skin.

microfine pumice in a cream to foam base that rinses clean without drying my combination/oily cyctic acne prone skin. the texture is exactly what i want--a rich, cushiony foam with light scrubbing action. i use this once a day, in the evening, to remove my LRP spf 60 sunscreen. in the a.m. i usually use something a little bit lighter and simpler. highly recommend. EDIT: 7/6/2006: Still adore this, esp for these hot months, but if I am little irritated from my Retin-A regimen, this can be a little stingy/abrasive. Still a spectacular, unique product but go easy when you're irritated from any type of treatment (tret, peel, microdermabrasion, etc).

Sigh. I don't know what to think about this product. I have used Clinique skincare for years and have hit a plateau with my skin. For reference, I have slightly ruddy fair skin that can be slightly oily in my T-zone to slightly dry elsewhere. My skin can be slightly sensitive at times, turning red and blotchy. Recently, I decided to try something else in the hopes that it would take my resonably nice skin to that next glowing radiant level. I have been using this cleansing foam, the matching Hydra-Detox clarifying lotion and moisturizer for a few weeks now and I haven't really noticed that much difference in my skin tone and texture. If anything they've gotten worse! From a distance my face looks nice and even, but up close, I have these red blotchy patches on my chin, forehead and cheeks along with small bumps just under the surface of my skin. During the day, my skin feels slightly itchy and irritated. To be fair I have severe allergies and it is spring, so this could all be a coincidence and my skin is just reacting to the allergens in the air. Though, I don't remember this happening before with Clinique. Hmmm...I really like the scent of Biotherm's products and the foam lathers really well, but I just don't feel like it gets my face squeaky clean. The clarifying lotion is nice and it feels really soothing on my skin. It doesn't seem to be as harsh as my Clinique that I have used. The cleansing foam doesn't do a whole lot for me in the way of exfoliation. The grains just seem too small to really take off those dull skin cells. Although, when I bought the Hydra Detox line, my mom bought some of the Pure Bright line which I like much better. The Pure Bright scrub seems to get my face cleaner and the grains seem to be slightly larger, which I like. Maybe I am judging Hydra Detox Cleansing Foam too soon. Maybe all of this is just my skin going through a "transition" period, but as of right now I am not completely satisfied with this product. I will probably finish my recent tube of cleaning foam, the clarifying lotion and moisturizer, but I will probably NOT repurchase unless I see some better results. Will update.
UPDATE: I give up. I can't stand the itching. I didn't think I was that sensitive, but apparently I am. I gave it to another MUA user. Used my Clinique and feel better after a single use.

I like PURE BRIGHT cleanser better this one. I don't really like the marine, oceanic, musk smell. It's kinda masculine marine smell. Not really my type. The texture is lovely and cleanse perfectly for my oily acne prone skin. But, I don't really see any result etc, just a normal cleanser whereas Pure Bright can bring U a little glow after U wash it, just a little temporary effect and it helps lighten acne scars if U use with other glycolic acid skin care like I DO. I use it with Retin A and Avene Diacneal, both cleanser don't dry out my skin. The tube is sux when it's almost finish, so hard to squeeze. Got to open the cap first.
