This did help moisturize a bit, However, The scent is way too strong, even though my skin isn't sensitive at all it made me break out! Also, the scent irritated my face so much it's gotten red since I started using it. It doesn't even moisturize enough for me to say, 'Atleast my face is soft'. The jar is horrible, especialy when you start getting to the bottom of the jar. This made my face look so...disgusting. The bad overweighs the good, I hate it.

This moisturizer is ok, it gets the job done for my combination skin, I have pretty dry cheeks and have to reapply moisturizer to those areas but with this I don't have to it's moisturizing enough. The only thing is I don't like the smell, it smells like men's aftershave, if this were on a guy i would love it but I don't want my face to go around smelling like man. Also, i think because of the scent my face stings a little, i don't like that and I'm not particular sensitive- it feels like there's rubbing alcohol in it. And the packaging is ugly. But I'll still use it cuz it actually evenly moisturizes my skin and is non greasy so it gets some ratings for that. But, I'll see how the stinging effect goes it possibly be happening because I am using Differin cream for my acne so that could e making my skin extra sensitive.

This product has been discontinued, and replaced by Avon Basics Vita Nourish. Please check my review there.

So all the reviews I've read for this product, use it as intended, as a face moisturizer (leave-on) - my review is not one of those. After finding out that my beloved Pond's cold cream tested on animals I immediately stopped using it, but then I had to find something that would replace it. Doing a little research I came across a Sharon Stone quote stating that when she was 14 yrs old her mother gave her this cream as a preventative. Already having a moisturizer I liked (100% Pure) I decided maybe this could be a good substitute for the cruelty-free (according to PETA) "cold cream", like cold cream it has oils that could be used to gently aide the removal of surface grime, besides I use the Simone France method (cream/ soap/ exfoliate) so the grime I didn't get to will be removed.
I work it into my skin (I actually use less than when I used Pond's) just like cold cream, wipe it off and all my days makeup (save eye makeup) comes off. My skin feels soft and hydrated and on those days I'm too tired to do my complete cleansing regime, I have no worries about just using this and removing my eye makeup and heading off to bed. No blemishes, no redness - in fact my skin actually looks healthier! Plus, sometimes I will use a little as an night eye cream, it absorbs quickly and doesn't sting my sensitive eyes.
* I gave it 4 lippies as it does contain Methylparaben, last ingredient.

When I was a younger woman I used this product in the blue/green jar. It was not as concentrated and worked better for oily skin. As I got older I graduated into the Vita Moist jar. This is a great basic face cream. It supplies moisture without feeling oiled down. I use this straight out of the shower when I am in a hurry to do the chores and groceries. I do not apply makeup over this moisture cream. I use this all by itself when I want my face/skin to have a rest from heavy creams, powders, etc. It does keep my skin from feeling tight, or getting flakey. I cannot say too much about preventing wrinkles though because I have used it for years and still have plenty of wrinkles, but then I have used a lot of different high end creams too and still have gobs of wrinkles. ;-) Vita Moist is wonderful basic face cream that has been around probably as long as I have, so that has to say something for the value of it, and that women love it. Avon changes and discontinues products faster than most of us can get to know them...poof they are gone! I hate that about all cosmetic companies! Vita Moist has a warm and pleasing fragrance that comforts, but does not over whelm. It would be a great night time cream for younger ladies 30ish to 40ish who do not have problems with oily skin. I keep a jar around all the time. Actually I have 2 jars right now. One in the bedroom and one in my bath room. They both are used often. I buy it whenever it is on sale and will continue to buy it as long as Avon does not discontinue this 'ole time favorite.

I bought this face cream when it was on sale. it's not hydrating enough for my face...at all. after I wash my face it feels really tight and after applying this moisturizer it's still tight. I'd give it only two lippies but I gave it three because maybe it would better for me during the summer, when my face tends to be slightly oily. but in the winter nothing works for me better than Cetaphil face lotion.

My skin tends to have dry patches and this did nothing to solve the problem. It's great for combination skin but not for me.

If you want a super cheap nighttime face cream, this is it. I love this stuff. It smells wonderful and you get a huge jar for practically nothing! I'm not sure of it's benefits regarding anti-aging...but if you have dry skin and need a heavy moisturizer, this will supply the relief needed. Tip: Wait until Avon has this on sale. The sale price is usually around $1.99.

I used to use this years ago. My great-aunt ( who sold Avon for 27 years) and my grandmother both used it twice a day every day. And they both had fantastic smooth skin into their seventies. They both swore by this moisturizer. I thought it was a pretty good moisturizer, about the same level as Clinique Different. I used it at night mostly. Unfortunately, it has a very distinctive scent that I associate with my grandmother, who I absolutely adored and miss desperately since she passed away. So I can't use this product anymore - not without welling up. Still, it seemed pretty effective for them all those years. I wouldn't expect miracles if you're older, but for the younger crowd, a good cheap moisturizer.

A pretty good basic moisturizer. Good for dry days, not ideal in Summertime.
I dont think I'll ever be 100% happy with any facial cream because, well, I'm early 30's and that is when i noticed my skin changed DRAMATICALLY!
The jar is awkward. I would prefer a tube.
I probably will not repurchase because i have a few jars

I got this on sale for $1.49! Although it's a bit too oily for my T-zone, it's perfect for my neck and throat. It works well as hand cream, also. I wouldn't but this at the regular price of $4.99 but I would buy it again on sale.
The smell is old-fashioney, as is the jar. A nice reminder of simpler times.

Ewwww yuck. This makes a horrible face cream. It's not all that hydrating, and leaves my face shiny. I looked at the ingredients, and mineral oil is the second ingredient. They shouldn't market it for the face either, since it has D&C red dye. Plus I hate how you have to dip your fingers into the container to get the stuff each time. How unhygenic. Yuckkk. I added one lippie because it makes a decent body lotion. It's less oily than if you used baby oil straight, which I find to be a good thing. But never repurchasing again. continued >>

I was looking for an inexpensive moisturizer to get my dry skin through the rest of winter, and thought Avon's Vita Moist might be a good option, ringing in at $4.99 Can. for 100ml. Unfortunately, this cream was not hydrating enough in the least, overpoweringly fragranced, and even made my face turn red! Even after exfoliating, my face was a dry, tight, itchy flakey mess after using this cream. I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to this since I've never had such a bad reaction to a moisturizer before. Would not buy again!

This is a great moisturizer. If you're looking for ant-aging...this isn't for you, but for a great base for under your makeup, or a pick me up for dry skin when you need it...look no further. I bought the 100ml size for $2.99 CAD. You can't beat the price and it does what it says :-)

This is a very good lotion. I use it every day and my face stays very soft and not dry. My mom bought it for me because she liked it and I will deff. buy more when I run out.
