extremely nice brow powder and I actually like using the brush that comes with it which doesn't happen often
I absolutely LOVE this brow powder!!! There's not much to say about it other than it's everything I look for in a brow powder. It's the perfect shade for my dark brown/black eyebrows (I use the dark brown shade). It lasts all day, and is the perfect medium pigmentation so it still keeps your brows looking natural. Side note: my eyebrows are really thick and already have the shape I like, so I only use this to define my brow shape a little more, and to fill in any sparse spots. The only down side is it's really hard to find. If I can find it, I will continue to repurchase this product for a long time, or until I find something better (if that's possible).
I've been using this for 8 years in the color light brown. Fair skinned with light brown hair. I use a thinner brush than it comes with to apply it. I do have brows, I just use this to fill in between the hairs. I'm not extending nor creating a brow & I don't believe this product would work for that. So, if you just want a light filler to accentuate your brows that's easy to use & is buildable, then I'd recommend this to you.
WHAT? Has this product really been discontinued? I have tried every liner and powder there is but I always go back to this. It is not a mess like most powders and it does not look "obvious" like pencil liners
I, too, have used this for most of my adult life. Now it is discontinued and I am wondering if there is anyone who has found a substitute? Pencils make my skin red and are not easy to use with arthritic fingers.
Anyone with suggestions?
If I was only allowed one makeup item this would absolutely be it! I have very sparse eyebrows and this is perfection when filling them in. I will admit the brush is not the best, but that's an easy fix. The product looks so natural, even when I put a lot on I don't look like Groucho Marx like I do with some other brow fillers. I never leave my house without putting this on (I literally mean that). I use the dark brown and have no problems with red undertones like some have with the light version. This product is an absolute winner in my book!
Nice affordable brow powder. They only carry Light Brown & Dark Brown at Walmart, so I'm not sure if that's it for color selection, or if that's just WalMart, but it would be better if they had a color lighter than light brown.
This is reasonably priced and such a great product! I use this daily because of my sparse brows (thanks a lot dad, lol). It doesn't budge and looks pretty natural. I would recommend this to anyone!
Definitely my HG!!! I was using a matte brown eyeshadow until my sister introduced me to this. It's always on sale at the PX so she buys a bunch at one time there. Unlike others, I don't mind the little brush it comes with, probably because I have thin eyebrows. It works just fine for me...I use dark brown. My hair has a somewhat natural ombre effect. My roots are dark brown, almost black and my ends are a golden brown/auburn color. My eyebrows are actually black, but since they are not thick or jet black, the brown actually looks better since it matches my hair better. Packaging sucks, but I love the product!
This one was not a winner for me. I have tan skin and black hair (including my brows). I found the charcoal-colored shadow I was using to fill in my brows a bit harsh, so after reading the raves on here about this product (by those with black hair as well), I though I would give the dark brown color a try. It didn't work for me. It was too light, looked more obvious on my brows (especially those sparser inner corners) than the charcoal color I was using before. I gave this a low score because it only comes in two colors: light brown and dark brown, and while I think they would work for the MAJORITY of people, neither will work well if you have BLACK eyebrows. I guess I should have figured that, but the reviews said otherwise.
Over all, the formula seems fine, a softer powder. The brush is terrible, as the other reviews have suggested, but would probably work in a pinch. I used it with my own angled brush. The packaging is like other Maybelline shadows...cheap looking, but the top is clear, so you know what color it is without having to open it up.
On the plus side, this will make a nice cheek contouring color as there is no shimmer in it, and for my skin tone it is just the perfect shade for that. Too bad I don't contour my cheeks that often.
