This works great for those days I just don't care to take the time with the entire makeup routine, namely weekends. Just enough coverage and feels light on my skin.

Can't get enough of this product!!! So i don't have a lot of experience when it comes to tinted moisturizers but i really like this one. I noticed a few comments talking about the pinkness of the fair to light tone.... i have natural pink undertones and this evens them out nicely so i don't understand what the problem is!!! I think it adds a nice touch of warmth most pale faces desperately need. I wear this stuff all the time, as a base, before i go to bed, just as a foundation for those days my skins looks nearly flawless. It's a basic in my makeup case and it's always on hand for me.
I also have it in the light to medium tone... sam pros and it has a nice deeper glow to it with a touch of warmth... only problem is you need more blending around the hairline or obviously you get a "mask" look. I just blend it in with a powder so it's not a big issue... more so a warning. i like the lightness and sheer texture it's good for moisture and sheer coverage. Don't buy this is you have greasy skin or want heavy coverage.

CG Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer in Fair to Light is a nice TM/sunscreen for very fair, cool-toned skin. It is truly a tinted moisturizer as opposed to a foundation; it is VERY sheer. It is has pink tones, so it would not be good for warmer skin tones. I am pretty fair, and I can only use this shade in the winter months. (I switch to the Light to Medium shade the rest of the year) It doesn't provide a ton of moisture, so those with dryness might not get what the hydration they want, but the sunscreen works very well. Since I have normal skin that tends to be slightly oily in the summer, I love the light moisturizer and good sunscreen protection. Again, it is VERY sheer. If you have major blemishes, etc, to cover, this won't do it. However, if you are just wanting a light, non-greasy, effective sunscreen that also provides the slightest bit of color to even out your complexion (or wear under mineral makeup), this is a great buy.

I have sensitive skin & love this product. I will admit that it does go on very sheer, but I've found that if I let the first layer sink in & then put a second layer over top I get exactly what I'm looking for. Not too heavy, not too light. Looks really good with a quick brushing of powder overtop.
Also, I have very sensitive skin, and this doesn't seem to irritate it. It has become a staple in my makeup pile. continued >>

Well, there ARE some of us ladies who want the pinkish base in the fair-light tint that has several negative comments here. It suits my pale skin exactly, while all the fancy brands - LM, Estee Lauder, etc. are way too yellow and I look jaundiced when I put them on. So... each to her own, and my vote goes to Cover Girl CG Smoother! Please don't ever discontinue this shade... Love the sheer natural look it gives. Also good for pale skin: Aveda Inner Light TM in Aspen - more in the yellow range but not overly so.

I bought this product because everyone was using it, and it was a cheap tinted moisturizer. It has the smell of sunscreen, and provides ZERO coverage. I know a tinted moisturizer is supposed to be a full coverage face product, but it doesn't even give me sheer coverage. It was basically like putting oil on my face. Don't waste your money on this product.

I was surprised by how much I liked this. I hadn't bought a tinted moisturizer in a long time as I usually ended up hating whatever I bought. Whether it was a cheap D/S one or an expensive one, I never found the right one. Either they were too watery and runny or they were too orange. But I was wandering around Ulta and saw this one and decided to do a little swatch on my hand. First i was impressed with the fact that it was smooth and not all watery and secondly I loved that it actually matched my skintone and wasn't yellow or orange.
It got even better when I got home. I applied it all over my face and was super happy and surprised when it seemed to give my skin this wonderful dewy finish. It reminds me of the Revlon Photoready foundation only not as intense.
And the truly best and most awesome part of this product is that it will hold whatever makeup I put on over it ALL DAY LONG. I will put this on all over my face, right under my eyes and even on my eyelid. My shadows, my undereye concealer and my blush will not budge until I take it off. I was not expecting it to work as not only a primer, but the best primer i have ever used.
the only downside is that it could look slightly cakey but that's easily fixed if you use a good regular facial moisturizer on a routine basis.
Other than that, i think this product is perfect. and holy cow was it cheap. i put it in my "must have" bag and took out the Revlon foundation.

1st tinted moisturizer I bought, eh. It looks dry on my skin, and a little cakey. The color does match fairly well, so I gave it two lippies. Maybe I just picked up an old one? But I'm not wasting my money again. I'll go find another tinted moisturizer somewhere.

I bought this product because I had been wanting a tinted moisturizer for the longest time, and this one was relatively cheap and contained ingredients that sounded like they would not be too harsh for my sensitive skin. However, with every single time I tried "putting" this on, I found that it provided pretty much absolutely NO coverage. This basically went on like SIMPLY an Olay moisturizer, and although it gave my skin a slightly dewy "glow", it didn't make a difference in covering up the plethora of acne marks and scars on my face. I was sad because I really wanted this to work, but behold, I had no other choice but to end upr returning it--also because I think it broke me out a bit.

HALLELUJAH!! I love this product!! It is super blendable and gives a sheer to light coverage! The shade is pretty amazing and gives a fantastic glow to my less than glowy skin. It has a pink undertone, so yellowy people beware!

Color never matched my cool skin, too warm, so I cannot comment on staying power or the like because I washed it right off.

Good for the price. It does give a nice dewy glow and does not feel greasy on my skin. I need to use another moisturizer under however or else it tends to emphasize any dry spots I might have. Not a lot of coverage, but enough to even me out a little bit (especially after using concealer on the most offending places).

I love this product and have been buying it for years. Every once in a while I would try a different brand of tinted moisturizer, but none have worked as well for me as CG Smoothers. I buy it in the Fair to Light shade as my skin is quite pale and freckled, a bit of rosacea and general redness, and combination skin. This product is super-light and evens my skin tone like wow. It doesn't increase the greasiness of my oily spots. It doesn't provide sufficient coverage for blemishes, but I think it's excellent as a base before makeup application. I have occasional pimples, so I often use this product all-over and conceal those small spots with a mineral powder foundation/concealer. It's an awesome base for powders! I would recommend using a moisturizer or serum underneath if your skin is particularly dry, but it's great for combo skin.

one word...UGH!!!!!!! I used this for months, because it provided some spf & made my complexion a little glowy. Even though it didnt even out my skin-tone or give me any coverage, I thought it was decent. While using it, I was breaking out daily. I suspected that it was maybe this product causing all of the acne. I discontinued my use of this for two days, and I havent touched it since! By the second day, my skin was basically clear. This broke me out terribly and I've heard that from other people too. I wouldn't recommend this! :) continued >>

Seriously has no coverage at all. Doesn't even out my skin tone or give me a pretty glow. Nothing but a plain moisturizer with SPF. Not what I was looking for at all, so very disappointing. If I wanted to buy a moisturizer I would buy a real one, not a lie from Cover Girl. It's not tinted!! It comes out of the bottle like a skin tone, but you can see it just blend totally into your skin, just like a moisturizer, leaving no color or coverage on your face.

do NOT buy this if you are looking for actual makeup that does what it is suppsed to. it is like a straight up moisturizer. provides NO color whatsoever. HELLLOOOOO its called a TINTED moisturizer!!! i was sooo disappointed to try this on, especially considering that i used a really great coupon for it and could've used it on something else! haha. also, this is waaay too expensive. no. just no.
if you want a great tinted moisturizer, might i suggest physican's formula SPF healthy wear. that stuff is amazing

I do generally like this product, and would use it again, unless I find something else, but I felt as though there was almost something missing it it. If you are reliant on tinted moisturizers to cover your blemishes, then this is not the tinted moisturizer for you. I usually do not get blemishes, but when I did, this provided little to no coverage. I still do like it, and the price is good, so if you feel like experimenting with it, be my guest.

I've been interested in buying a tinted moisturizer for a while now, but I didn't want to go head-first into the Laura Mercier or expensive brands before I actually tried it out. I got this a couple weeks ago, and I really don't like it. I found it to be sticky and thick. It doesn't go well on my skin (although it matches) and clumps when I put powder over it. When I don't have powder over it, it makes my skin very greasy-looking, and after a while it dries out my skin and makes me break out. It didn't even out my skin tone, it just accented the blemishes and overall made my skin more red underneath. I will never buy this product again.

I had hesitated to try a tinted moisturizer, because I was doubtful that it could offer any coverage. I bought the CG Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer in Fair to Light, because it was the most reasonably priced. The first time I tried it I wasn't expecting much of anything, but I was very surprised. It gave a light coverage, but evened my skin tone out nicely and felt so comfortable. It is perfect for hot weather, because it doesn't feel like I have anything on, but I look even and polished. This will be the only "foundation" I'll buy! For those requiring heavier coverage, this probably won't be sufficient, but I have a bit of Rosacea and some mild acne, and it works well for me. My only suggestion is that CoverGirl changes the lid on the tube to a hinged pop-off lid (kind of like a toothpaste lid), only because it would be more convenient then the screw-on lid. All in all, I would definitely recommend this product!
