Just got Lustering in the mail today. It has been on my WL for a while now and every time I went to get it, it was sold out. I don't live anywhere near a MAC counter so when I travel somewhere it's one of my first stops. And after two weeks at a MAC counter it was still sold out..... I am stoked to have it finally. I absolutely love this Pink shade. It's not too bright or too sheer. The perfect color for every day wear..stunning on my NC45 skin. I know I will be reaching for this often! Loooove. Great bright and uplifting watermelon-pink shade. It's pretty and punchy for summer but not garish - the Lustre formula keeps is moist and translucent which makes it more modern and easy to wear. Standard MAC bullet packaging and mid-point pricing; one of the more universal & consistently pretty shades of the permanent lineup. I've seen it look pretty on lighter people such as myself (NW/C 20ish) and on darker skinned friends (NC35-40ish tanned/olive skin tones). A great shade to try if you're a bit timid with brights (it's bright without being neon) or if you work somewhere where a full-on bright might be inappropriate. This is one of the easiest to wear bright pink lipsticks you'll ever find. It is bright but not screaming pink on your face. It really lightens up your complexion and it's one of those shades that although being bright they can be worn on full daylight and you can wear it at the office without looking over the top. I will repurchase it for sure.

A great shade of vibrant pink without the in your face "I'm wearing bright pink lipstick" look. Somehow it doesn't appear to be too intense but it lasts fine for a lustre finish. Definitely a watermelon kind of pink and great for my NW20 skin.

I'm always nervous about wearing any birght pink shade of lipstick but this is amazing! Its sheer but still has a great amount of color. Awesome for spring! PERFECT!

This is the most amazing lipstick I have ever bought! I was looking for a lipstick with vivid pink colour but not that intense. Lustering gives an amazing glow and colour on my lips and is definitely by far the best lipstick from Mac I have ever tried.

I just bought this and OMG I've finally found my HG subtle pink lipstick! It was absolutely MADE for my NC20 skintone! It's an incredibly flattering, subtle sheer lipstick that makes me look youthful and fresh. It's hard to describe the color, I guess I'd describe it as a watermelon pink but it's not at all overpowering. It's a real my-lips-but-infinitely-better shade. It makes my lips look and feel incredibly smooth, well-moisturised and luscious! Some pale pinks make me look washed-out and my pet-hate is too-pale pink lipstick but this makes me look healthy and I'm sure it even makes me look like my skin is glowing. I'm in love!

This has become one of my favorite colors. I have pigmented lips and this colors shows up like a deep watermelon pink on me which I love; it really completes the look - just the right amount of color. I have tried so many pinks that don't show up or turn out to be a cool fushia color and looks horrible. This has to be my HG pink it's also one of my first MAC purchases...definitley getting another just in case it is discontinued!

I want to love this but I just don't. I normally like lustre formulas but this one wears very strange on my lips. First off, it seems like I can't get enough color to show up. I know it's a sheer formula, but I expected a bit more pigmentation. Second, it wears away on the inner part of my lips and leaves an ugly 'rim' of color around the outer part.

I'm usually into bold red lips but I've been searching for that perfect pink to wear on my lazy days that looks like my lip color but my lip color at its best. And I found it. I have somewhat pigmented lips and one coat of this pink sheer lipstick perfects my natural color! I love it! It's nothing like impassioned or girl about town because it isn't opaque. It's sheer. It's a glossy but not too shiny finish. Just looks like healthy lips. I'm used to the dryness of ruby woo and this texture doesn't bother me at all where most non-matte lipsticks bug me. It's not really long wearing and it's not build-able at all. But I still love it.

The color looks really nice, almost pop pink. What I don't like is the texture because it's glossy. I thought I could layer it on to make it more noticeable and matte. But for those who don't like bold colors, the lustre lipsticks of MAC is good. Just not for me.

I discovered Lustering quite by accident at the MAC counter, while I was looking for Impassioned (which I ended up buying also) and the lone SA was busy with another customer. I very much like the lustre finish of MAC lipsticks - I find them very pretty and flattering because they don't leave your lips looking like a dry river bed of cracks and also, they feel nice and moisturizing, even if they don't last terribly long. Lustering is such a pretty shade of plummy pink - it's not that white, chalky looking pink that can leave you looking sort of corpse-like - this is just plain PRETTY and very easy to wear, even for an old dame like me. I will definitely repurchase this beauty.

I am LOVING Mac's "lustering" ;) It is such an underrated color. As someone with an olive skintone and yellow undertones, it's a bit difficult finding a certain lipstick color without looking too "bold" or not natural. The MAC MUA recommended this as one of the pink lippies that would work great. In the tube, it looks so intimidating - it's very bright and very dark pink at once however because it's a lustre, it's so sheer. It looks somewhat similar to NARS "Schiap" but this is a more wearable color. It's best described as watermelon pink and definitely a color you can wear everyday :) BUY IT!

I got this lipstick free after I turned in 6 of my back to mac containers! I fell with love with the color and I just had to get it! I love the subtle pink it gives my lips! it isn't overpowering and it really had a nice finish to it!

This is my newest addition to my growing mac lippie collection, and i am so pleased with it, the colour is just beautiful, it's a very vibrant pink, but it's hard to describe, it's bright and rich at the same time and it matched my hair perfectly, my hair is a very pink toned red and this lipstick was just made for me!
I would also like to say to the people who have not seen the shade, the pictures of it on mua are nothing like it is in the flesh, it looks so much different, so dont go by the colour it looks on here.

I adore this lipstick! I usually stick to really neutral lip colours, however, I spotted this on an online blog and really loved the colour. On me it is a bright 'hot' pink shade.
I must admit this is not an everyday lipstick for me but i love it if i want to brighten up a neutral make up look for a night out. I also think it is a fantastic colour for the summer.
My favourite way to wear this is with black eyeliner and pink cheeks (either Benefits Posie Tint or Chanel's Tweed Fuschia).
This lipstick wears really well. It stays put on me for several hours and when it does wear off it does not become patchy or stick to your lips. I also find it quite moisturising, it does not dry my lips out in any way.

My new favorite lipstick!!! It is a bright pink color, but being a lustre formula it isn't too scary to use (for this first time bright lipstick girl!). Being a lustre it doesn't have the most amazing staying power but it leaves such a nice color even after it is worn off that I don't even mind when this happens. I pop one layer on for easy to wear, but can layer it up for more of a "pop"! Love it and would recommend trying this if you can :)

I've been looking for a subtle pink lipstick since forever and this one is perfect! It is a lovely soft, rosy pink shade with a fairly low opacity but can be easily built up to give more intense colour. However, the swatch on the MAC website is completely different to the shade in real life. It is a much more subtle pink in real life, rather than the vivd fuchsia pink that it appears to be online. I have fair skin with blue undertones and it seems to suit my skin tone well.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. I received this l/s in a swap and i just wore it today, and I LOVE it! This is my first review ever so since I loved this l/s so much I thought I'd review it! But seriously this l/s scared the crap out of me for a couple of days, I thought it looked to bright and too out there for me and NO way! this is so creamy and pretty and bright but in a pretty wearable way, I will be buying a back up of this baby:)
