I LOVE this moisturizer! It is really creamy yet light, and it's not overly greasy like other face moisturizers with SPF typically are. This blends really well and the scent is pretty light! It reminds me of the beach. I hope they don't discontinue this!

Gave me acne after having battled for and achieving clear skin for the longest stretch of my life.
I use Olay original beauty fluid with zero breakouts (it actually cleared the mess this caused up), so I'm not sure what the deal is with alba...maybe the SPF?
This product is thin, which is a nice change from typical SPF moisturizers...but it definitely smells like sunscreen. It also leaves that sunscreen shine/glaze on your face. :/ I HAD to wear powder over it if I was going out!
Not too moisturizing...definitely didn't help with any of my super fine lines...maybe even made the worse, now that I think of it.
The price is higher than I wanted to pay, especially now, but I thought more natural=less risk of zits, prettier skin, right?! Nope...
But the lotion is thin, so I'm sure it would last quite a while.
Eh. :( Sad. I hate throwing stuff away when I'm trying to save $.

PROS: Goes on very light for an SPF. Is supposed to stimulate cell regeneration to help correct uneven tone and helps with that somewhat. Light and subtle fragrance that reminds me of the beach (but not in a yucky sunblock smell way.) It sort of smells like the ocean in a good way. (Sorry I'm not good at describing scents. ;-) No cones, yay (so no clogging of pores)! Most spf's and all lightening/evening products really bother my rosacea/sensitive skin quite a bit, and this one hardly doesn't as much.

CONS: May be a con for some that it leaves just the slightest glow or feeling of moisture, but not actually oily. I like the moisture for my combo skin.

ALTERNATES: For gentle but effective skin lightening, I love Dr. Lewinn by Kinerase Skin Tone Perfecting Syndrome (see my favorites folder called "Skin Lightening" for more.) Desert Essence Gentle Nourishing Day Cream SPF15 (for dry/sensitive skin) is also good. For oily skin (and natural ingredients), Devita Solar Protective Moisturizer SPF 30. My favorite for anti-aging is L'Oreal Age Perfect SPF15 Day Cream in the white jar.

I put this on my face/neck, and within a few minutes it gave me a rash all on my neck. I washed it off immediately. The texture of this product was a little greasy and did not asorb into my skin right away. I didn't leave it on long enough to see how it was through out the day, but I may try it again since I can't return it (I got it while on vacation).

Another miss. This is basically sunscreen with a little moisturizer in it. It smells like sunscreen and it's greasy like sunscreen. 15 minutes after applying, I can wipe a lot of it off the surface of my skin with a tissue.
I switched over from a highly-perfumed L'Oreal moisturizer with SPF because I liked the "natural" and "no animal testing" credentials. But unfortunately I'm going to have to stop using it.
The grease factor might be good for someone with really dry skin, but I have fair acne-prone skin (though not terribly oily) and it's just... bad.

I am a big fan of Alba's sea plus renewal night cream. LOVE it. This smells very much the same as the night cream, but absorbs much quicker. It's a lotion, not a cream, so it's much lighter (expected). Immediately after applying it is still a bit oily, but not a bad oily in my opinion, just nourished. After about 10 minutes its fully absorbed and my face feels really moisturized and comfortable. This seems like a good moisturizer for dryer skin types, oily skin types might not like it. But for me, it's exactly what I wanted.

This is a good moisturizer but its too greasy for my liking, If i wear it during the day time my face is soooo oily within the next hour, However I have found it to be really great as a night time moisture, it really soaks into your skin while you sleep and my face looks flawless in the morning and not oily, it has a pleasant smell and is affordable but I probably wont buy it again Im just trying to finish this one up

I picked this up on a whim at Target. I was simply looking for something with SPF, a light feel, and if I was lucky, some green tea in it.
This was the whole package! It soaks it so quickly and nicely after I use my Clarisonic, it protects my skin from the sun, and has a lovely smell. A little goes a long way and I use it only in the morning. It hasn't broken me out and I imagine the green tea (which has been clearing up my skin a lot) is to thank for that.
I'm a little skeptical of how "organic" this is, looking at the ingredient list, but I do really like the product.

I am love love loving the Alba sea moisturizers!! first i got the renewal cream, which i had been using day & night since my skin is quite dry & the winter only makes it worse, but i picked up this one as well since i did want an SPF & a lighter day cream for when it gets warmer [the renewal would be way too heavy]. I am just as impressed as i was with the night cream. i'm hard to impress with moisturizers, since they claim so much but never seem to do much, but with these they deliver. the sea moss cream is lighter, a bit more runny than the heavy renewal cream, which is perfect for daytime. it soaks really quickly as well, which was a problem i had with my last 2 day creams, Olay original beauty fluid & the beauty fluid w/ SPF [that one is a greasy nightmare!]. my makeup goes over this amazingly, & even when i forget a primer it doesnt matter. i love getting to skip a step & also not have to wait around 10 or 15 minutes for it to soak in. it's not greasy at all & even though i have dry skin which typically needs more moisture, this moisturizer works well.
i really have no complains. sure it's a bit pricey for 2 oz [mine was $14 i think at Target], & it's pretty hard to find down where i go to college, but thats nothing the internet can't fix so my complains are minimal. :) continued >>

This is my miracle moisturizer. I don't use it during the day though, it works wonders on my skin at night. I wake up to glowing, beautiful skin. I always look radiant and fresh with this. It keeps my skin moisturized, the scent is very natural and to be totally honest - this makes my skin really young. I will keep buying this stuff. The best night moisturizer out there for me.

Worst moisturizer I've ever used. Within minutes of putting it on, my face and eyelids would get really greasy. Also the consistency of the product is horrible, it's runny like water, so I had to be very gentle with the tube or else it would start leaking out and be all over my hands. It's also pricey for the size. Only good thing about it was that it healed up the dry patches on my face.

I have been using this moisturizer for about a month now and it is the best moisturizer I have used. I have combination skin that is somewhat sensitive. I haven't experienced any breakouts, discomfort, or anything like that with this product. It smells nice, works really well under makeup, and has the perfect texture. Love this!

This is a great moisturizer - good for you and good for the planet! It absorbs quickly, doesn't smell sunscreen-y and doesn't leave my skin greasy. I use it every morning without fail. My only warning is that it is runny and you have to be very careful with the bottle or you'll end up with a whole handful of it. A pump of some kind might be a better option for this product.

I bought this product today and am planning to take it back tomorrow! This moisturizer made my eyes burn to no end. Because it made my eyes tear so much, it also eliminated any of the moisturizing effect that it may have had for my skin.
I loved the toner, and I am still deciding on the face wash, but the moisturizer is a definite no. I'm still on the look out for a good, more organic choice!!

This is what I've been using for awhile now. I hate trying new moisturizers to see if there's something better out there, because 95% of the time I end up hating the potential new product. I like this moisturizer because it's light, doesn't break me out, doesn't smell bad, and wears very well under foundation. I HATE moisturizers that ball up when I apply anything on top of it and I've never had this do that. Bonus is it's SPF, and absorbs fast. :)

This stuff was kind of pricy for me (got it at the health food store for around $14, but it's pretty small). Then again, considering you don't have to use much (I'd say about a dime sized amount for your whole face) that isn't too bad. This moisturizer is not too light and not too heavy. If you have very dry skin, you might want something a tad more moisturizing, but my skin leans towards oily, so this is perfect. It wears beautifully under makeup, too. Oh, and it's all natural. I like.

This is not moisturizing enough for dry skin. It's very light. Too light to hold any makeup while wearing it under the foundation.

I like that it doesn't break me out but it doesn't sink into my skin. Also, it doesn't get rid of the tiny spot of flaky skin on the tip of my nose.
