Bioderma Photoderm Lait is my favourite sunscreen and I bought this on a whim when I was buying the Lait online.
It's very handy and I keep it in my bag and use it on the backs of my hands and lips when I'm driving. I tried using it around my eyes but it makes my eyes water.
They must have changed the packaging because it doesn't have a cap that might break (like other people commented on). It has a push up mechanism that works well.

This a great, high protection sunscreen stick for lips or even around the eyes/on ears when spending a lot of time out in strong sun. It's fragrance free but has faint "milky" taste if it gets in your mouth. The older version of the packaging was horrible, the lid cracked almost as soon as I started using it. But I don't know about the new packaging. As far as I know, you can't get a higher SPF or PPD in a stick sunscreen.

This has terrible packaging. Within a week, the cap was cracked and kept falling off. The product has a high level SPF, which I like, but it is very waxy and left a whitish cast on my lips. Not moisturizing at all.

Very bad packaging. The cap is so hard to open and it crack after 2 days of use. Since the cap crack, the cap falls off easily and the lip stick just hanging around in my purse sticking to every dirt it can. So I end up putting it into a plastic bag. The packaging is a nightmare, back to the stick itself. It has an incredible SPF 80 but it is very hard to make it stay on lip. I have to reapply several times in order to get something on my lips. moreover, it is not moisturizing enough. I will stay with Prada lip balm/Nuxe/Mode de Vie..

I bought this to use as sun protection for my lips. I have very pale, type I northern European skin with red hair so need the best protection. I'd never found sufficient sun protection for my lips despite trying several UK brands such as Boots Uvistat, E45, Simple and other well-known brands. They just don't have enough UVA protection. I know this because I have developed three tiny moles on my top lip in the last couple of years despite wearing at least SPF 25 lip balm every day summer or winter underneath lipstick and reapplying regularly. But Photoderm MAX Stick contains Tinosorb which is possibly the best UVA screen that there is. Another plus is that it is transparent and doesn't make my lips white like those sunscreens with physical sunscreen ingredients.
However, as mentioned by the other reviewers, the packaging is crap. It breaks and also it is almost impossible to push the tube up to get more out. So it loses a lippie for that. UPDATE 14/2/06: I am updating this because the packaging has changed (Bioderma must have read our reviews! LOL) It is now in a more traditional push-up lip balm/lipstick form and doesn't crack or break. It has also been relabelled SPF 50+ like all other Euro sunscreen products. I have repurchased this countless times and it is a true HG for me.
