Stila Esme has honestly been an essential for me. With it's pure but beautiful red color, it just completes several red lipped looks. I wear it up or down for either a summery bright look, or a sexy vixen look at night! It's great!!

I find Esme to be more of a peachy red than a true red like some of Stila's other reds like Salome or Dominique, but it does make it a more subtle shade to wear for day (although the colour is too much when applied straight from the tube). It is a little muddy for my tastes as I prefer blue based reds.

Esme is a tomato red, but don't let that scare you. It's friendly in its intensity. I apply this with a lip brush and it goes strong for a good 4-6 hours with a great stain. I'm a NC20. It's a matte shade, a little on the dry side (hence the staying power). Even though it's not as moisturizing as my Dior Addict l/s, it hasn't caused any cracking either. I'm really pleased with the quality and no noticeable scent. For $16, I think it's a great buy. The tube is metal and small. I can't see applying this without a lip brush though, because I think it'd be too intense or difficult to wear.

I hate the packaging because its like cardboard so it shows more wear then plastic or metal would and looks very cheap. The color is very pretty though...a classy red thats vibrant without being obnoxious, perfect for my PPP complexion and reddish hair. Mine is older than 3 months I think and has not yet gone rancid like I have heard of other Stila lipsticks doing. I'd repurchase this and I will certainly be trying other shades also.

This is your basic red shade. The texture is nice and it does moisturize a bit but I just don't have luck pulling off red shades. Oh well..........And the packaging also stibks! It's cardboard and it ends up getting marked up and bent no matteer how careful I am with it. For the almost of money we're paying they could at least change the lipstick top.

Esme is a very pretty daytime red -- very neutral, whereas I prefer something a touch warmer. Still though, it's nice enough...just not terribly exciting.

This is the most perfect natural looking red. I have finally found a daytime red that is creamy, not sheer. Don't get me wrong..I love the Stila sheer reds of Sofia, Jo, and Ava. But this is a real creamy red that has color, but it is not bright or overpowering like most other reds that you would only wear in the evening. This is a wonderful shade!
