Beautiful red color on my NW46 skintone. I almost purchased Cactus Flower but I didn't like the golden shimmers in it. This is a pigmented color so apply with caution.

If it wasn't for the reviews here I would never imagine buying this by just looking at the color in the pan! But thanks to all of you here I have bought this and it is a gorgeous gorgeous blush. You have to go very light handed though. It is VERY easy to cross that thin line and look like a clown. I personally like this blush especially for winter time, pale skin, blushed with some Turkish Red applied lightly on cheek bones upwards and subtle eye make up (very thin dark eyeliner and mascara only, nothing heavy or dark) and dark plum, berry or mauve lips.. It looks so sophisticated and elegant.

I've found that the scarier a blush looks in the package, the more natural it looks on the skin. Why? Because a natural blush comes from the color of blood.
This blush is the color of blood, and just as concentrated, hence it imparts that "just in from the cold" natural rosiness that I love (even when it's pushing 100 degrees out, like it was today).

gorgeous colour!. Striking in a very natural way. it's a beautiful dark red hence the name turkish red..very fitting. The only thing about this blush I don't like it dosen't last very long on my cheeks unlike my other NARS cream blushers I'm not sure why. If I needed to buy this again I would.

Wow, what a lovely true red. Works so well on MMM Asian me, but cool to read that fairer MUAers also love this blush. I agree w/ previous posters, the look this imparts is how your cheeks look when coming in from the cold. And it's neutral for me, works well w/ cool tones but can mix w/ warmer ones as well. Texture is a drier cream, less moist than other cream blushes. Blends well. Long wearing too. Terrific stuff!

I would like this a lot better if it were more of a clean, clear red rather than a brick red. It's made for everyone to wear -- anyone of any hue can wear this. I'd prefer a blush made strictly for blue/red toned, fair people. This isn't it.

the newest addition to my nars blush collection! this blush is very under rated, as in not many people are attracted to red blushes, which personally is my favorite blush color. After falling in love with exhibit a and what it does to my complexion during the warmer months i started searching for a red blush with cool undertones to wear in the winter and tried a couple of the pro cream color bases by mac, but then a friend suggested turkish red. this blush is a lot easier to work with, lasts a lot longer and its easier to blend! i found it to be not as oily as other cream blushes ive tried before! it is the true blood color blush that gives the most natural flush!! absolutely adore it!! on days i get to take my take to apply blush this and exhibit a are always on the top of my list! other wise i go with something less in your face, but still with res undertones like dolce vita!

I love this. I didn't know if I would like it very much because I am yellow toned, but this is just gorgeous, applied with a skunk (MAC 187)--it's very blendable and just...pretty. Exhibit A is my hg, but if I need something with blue undertone, rather than yellow, I reach for this.

What a stunning blush! I have waaaay too much makeup and wasn't looking to buy anymore, but I stopped into Sephora yesterday to pick up my HG Shisieido foundation (which they didn't have) and tried this color on a whim. The second I tried it, I fell in love. Most people go for pink-hued blush and wouldn't assume bright red would look natural but it really does.In fact, it looks even more natural than most pinks, at least on me (medium skin, green eyes, light brownish-blond hair). Despite the heavy pigment, it goes on relatively sheer and imparts a strong, chic, natural-looking flush. I also love the creme texture...It blends so well. Totally rad blush, try it! The downside? It's pricey, but it will last forever.

This is my first NARS blush and I am SOLD! I am really impressed by the pigmentation, quality and lasting power. I will definitely be trying out more NARS blushes in future. Turkish Red looks really scary in the pan, but applied lightly with a brush such as #187 you get the most natural looking blush ever! I looked like i was blushing madly coz my crush just asked me out on a date. Definitely HG status!

This was my first nars cream blush and I was really really really looking forward to using this. Texture is pretty good, not too creamy, although I prefer the BB pot rouges much better. Colourwise it doesn't really look very natural on me. I'm definately going to try the cactus flower, which should flatter my skin tone.

NARS creme blushes get a big YAY from me. Turkish red is a deep, brick red in the pan but applied sheerly (and for me, a PPP NW15-20) that means barely swiping the tip of one finger in the blush and on my cheeks, looks absolutely like my natural blush color. I love it, the texture is fantastic and it lasts all day.
I would repurchase, if I ever ran out, which is highly doubtful considering how a little goes a long way.

This is SUCH a beautiful natural color. OMG if you are thinking about getting it, get it. Do not hesitate! Its color and texture are very different than any other creme blushes I've tried - and I've tried them all.

NARS hitsthe nail right on the head ever time! My first ever cream blush and I love it. This is a true blush color for my NW45 skin. Loves it! I put it on with my MAC #187 and I look like I just had a romp with the BF. Quite lady-like, though.

Turkish red is a great color. I suppose that I would describe this as the color of blood. (Sorry if anyone finds this description to be gross) When people blush naturally, it is a result of increased blood flow to the cheeks. So this color, being close to the color of blood is a great option for all skin tones. The trick with this blush is not over doing it, which is hard at times since the color is so dark.

I have to admit that I haven't found a Nars blush I don't like. I have many of them, and they all look fabulous! This is amazing. I would never have bought it, had I not seen the MUA reviews. I mean, I'm the palest person on earth, and this looks scary-red. However, when applied, it looks like I've either been working out, or had a great weekend with my husband, if you know what I mean. After putting on foundation or tinted moisturizer, I apply a small dot on each cheek and blend well. Then I add my powder. If I want a bit more color (depends on the day, my mood, how my skin looks, etc), I add another dot to each cheek. I love it!

Turkish Red is not a blush, with that word's connotations of a pretty, subltle rosy flush appearing oh-so-naturally on the cheeks of young belles. It's a rouge, reminiscent of the little red boxes of courage that graced the vanities of women in the 1920s and 1930s. Applying it is a tricky, but glamorous, process. It's a deep, extremely pigmented brick red that gives a substantial dose of color even when applied sheerly. It's my favorite Nars blush. I mean rouge. ;)

I agree with all the comments below about this blush. It looks garish in the pan but is a very pretty "flush" when applied. Good for a baby-doll look if you wanna put a lot on - that's the good part - you can get several kinds of looks out of this blush all the way from a flush to full on drama. And as everyone here says, this thing will last forever! I will say one thing, though - I think you probably need to have good/flawless skin to use this.
The red would not work well with acne, rosacea, large pores, etc. - it would only emphasize these type problems, or so I would imagine.

Very translucent and natural looking even though it looks bright red in the container.
