Well shoot...I've been trying hand creams lately because my summer-end hands are SO bad this year...way too much sun, and water, and abuse. Trying to save money, I've bought a couple drugstore brands that were completely average. My Philosophy hand exfoliator wasn't even enough, although I still use it at night. Turns out I had the Alba in my stash all along and forgot about it. There's something about natural products with yummy treatment oils that just feel so good...no silicones or petroleum by-products...they just melt into the skin. It's been a while since I've partaken of the real stuff, and the fake crap just doesn't measure up. This has just the most wonderful feel on my hands. Not real hydrating, but more shea-like protective and soft...a cocoon around the skin. Great for daytime when you don't want oozing, slippery hands. This particular lotion has the added benefit of AHAs for some exfoliation and smoothing. I've also been alternating in my very expensive and unsurpassed Pasta di Mandorle at night. With these products on my skin again, I should have better hands soon. Very, very nice.

This review is for their Very Emollient Body Lotion (unscented): This is a GREAT moisturizer! It really works well for me, even on my rough heels. I occasionally mix it with a dab of Clinique's Deep Comfort Body Butter, supposedly unscented too, but mine has a definite light citrus scent I LOVE. I don't like heavy scents or perfumes much and neither does my DH so this combo works just fine for me. This way I can save on the expensive body butter too.

A co-worker turned me on to this product and I just love it. Although it says it's unscented there seems to be a faint smell of "plastic" or something like that??? It's not at all strong and goes away quickly. The product takes awhile to rub in but does a great job of moisturizing hands, feet, elbows, etc. I keep this at my desk and use it after bathroom breaks (the soap in our office bathroom is horrible) and my hands will stay moisturized though a few trips before a repeat application of the lotion is needed. I do feel a slight "coating" which is almost like a protective barrier when I wear this. It's a different feeling from most lotions but I don't mind it at all. This hypo-allergenic, vitamin E formula with alpha hydroxy acids and antioxidants is a winner in my opinion and I am anxious to check out their other products. They also have a web site listed on the bottle: avalonorganics.com.

I *LOVE* this!!!! However... not for the typical reason. As a handcream, this product is just so-so... BUT... as a face cream---this is WONDERFUL!!!! I sort of discovered this use by accident--- i was out of my normal face cream, and my face was sooo dry...so i reached for this handcream (which i thought was not moisturizing enough for my hands btw), and voila! it was wonderful! it tingles from AHAs just a little bit---and it left my face feeling soooo soft and not greasy at all. the cream soaked right in. it also left a matte finish, so it was perfect to wear under my m/u! who would have thought a hand cream could make such a PERFECT face cream? my new HG.

My favorite hand lotion. Has all the ingredients you need to take care of and moisturize your skin: vitamin E, AHAs, shea butter, and more. All in one bottle! Never leaves a greasy film, but my skin feels soft and moisturized for hours. No fragrance at all. I even love the way the lotion dispenses in little ribbons. $8 for 8oz - which is pricier than most drugstore hand lotions - but it lasts for months.

I looove the V.E.B.L., but I am not a fan of this. It doesn't feel like it moisturizes very well, and the smell: ick. Very chemically, which is weird from a natural product. I like that it is AHA, so I'll mix it with another lotion to change the texture and scent.

Love this basic hand cream that I use at night, not all that greasy and absorbs well. I don't like the smell but it goes away quickly

I use this lotion every night before bed on my hands and it helps to keep my eczema under control. I've tried many other hyped hand lotions and they didn't cut it. I thought it was a bit expensive, but you get a good amount so it takes a while to use up.

This is an excellent hand lotion: it has a great texture and absorbs quickly so that there is no greasy feeling left on your hands. It's also nice that there is only a light scent.

The Best hand lotion in the world! This stuff rocks. It is absorbs well, makes my skin look less crepey and repairs my cuticles. It is not super thick, so sometime I add another coat, but the AHA make my hands so smooth. I also uses this on my feet, knees and elbows. Smells light, clean and non-descript.
