Love it. It is such a nice colour, almost has a coral tinge to it. It seems to have some kind of mint in it and is slightly tingly. It feels fresh. It is not too shiny, and not too sparkly. I like that it's all natural and they use post consumer materials to package it.
My only complaint is that it leaves my lips a little flaky
This is my favourite lip gloss! I allready used three packages. I have very fair skin, but this look good also summer when I have little bit tan. I love coral colour wich look very natural, but gave my lips nice gloss and awesome sexy colour. And it`s not drying lips.
Nice coral shade on me, not garish, perfect for everyday. I like the doefoot applicator and the scent, it is not sticky. There is just one thing that keeps me from repurchasing from this line: I have to dip the applicator at least 4 or 5 times in order to get enough gloss to cover my lips, it gets frustrating after a while.
I truly believe that the Aveda Lip Glazes are among the best lip glosses currently available. They're long-lasting (for glosses, anyway) without being annoyingly sticky, and the size of the tubes is pretty generous.
Pepino is a terrific color that I think would look good on just about anyone; it is a bright, but not shocking, shade of pink with a touch of coral. After my first tube ran out, I bought another -- a rarity for me!
It wears more of a coral-y pink on me, and it overall flattering. Didn't last too long, however, on the lips. Creamy texture with easy wand application.
The other reviews are correct. This color is a little brighter for me than natural, but very soft, not loud. Slightly shimmery, slightly muted bubble gum pink. Love the color.
Pepino is one of my favorite colors. As others have said, it looks very bright in the tube, but it is a very flattering color on the lips. It brightens my face up, but my lips don't look neon pink. I also like it because it is not too shiny, as so many glosses are. It's more a natural look. I also like Carnelian (ginger color) and I just got Bronze Blaze (brown sugar color). The lip glazes are my favorite of all the glosses that I have, including Smashbox, philosophy, Tarte, Burt's Bees, Clinique and DuWop.
An 'okay' gloss - Pepino's color is very pretty but the scent and taste turn me off. Not minty or herbal in a pleasant way (say, Burt's Bees balm) but just mint-gone-wrong, and the taste is a bit plastic-y. Also, the amount of gloss that is delivered on the wand is small enough that I have to do at least three separate dips into the tube to get enough gloss for my lips. I don't require a slick look; my lips are just naturally full and there's just more acerage to cover. ;) Not something I'll purchase again, in any shade.
This is a very shocking pink when you see it in the tube, but it applies so sheerly that it just gives a nice color lift lips, and just gives a really pretty pink glow. It has a really nice scent, just like peppermint, which makes it fun too. There's also a lot of product in the tubes, so I think it's a pretty good value. For reference, I'm an MMM with pigmented lips.
Aveda Lip Glaze in Pepino is a lovely lip gloss. The texture of the Lip Glaze is somewhat thick with a mildy sticky feel. The color Pepino is slightly cool toned watermelon pink shade. Once applied to my lips Pepino is a sheer pink shade with no shimmer or sparkle, which brightens my complexion. The Lip Glaze does wear off in a moderate amount of time, but it makes my lips feel moisturized. I love the minty scent of the Lip Glaze, which isn't at all overwhelming. Aveda Lip Glze in Pepino is a very simple makeup item that is great for everyday use.
