I am killing this fragrance right now. I wear this to work and I get compliments when I wear it. I have no idea what the notes are but what I do know is that this is a sweet sophisticated scent that never gets old. It smells like what the modern female professional should smell like - smart and classy.
The packaging is beautiful and the scent lasts all day without being loud or over bearing. Lanvin usually has execeptional fragrances and this is no exception.
Eclat d'Arpege is one of my Top favorite summer scents, and I'll never get tired of it. A soft watery floral with skin-musky notes -- so very sensual. This never fails to stop people in their tracks and elicit compliments. I only wear this in warm weather.
To me, it's a star -- better than anything else in its class. It resembles Ralph Lauren Blue (another of my huge all-time summer favorites) and also Mariah Carey Luscious Pink .. but not so much Light Blue IMHO. Light Blue is along the same lines (airy/watery) but doesn't have the ultra-sensual skin-musky quality that Eclat d'Arpege has. To me, this perfume is special and magical, and I'll always have a bottle on hand.
This is my go-to perfume. It is light and delicate smell, yet very sophisticated (you can refer to the reviews below for the notes). It's not cloying if you don't overdo it.
I've gone through one entire bottle and repurchased this. I believe that choosing a scent is something very personal, so if you're interested in this, do visit a store and get a whiff before deciding. :)

If you are on the line of perfumes like D&G's light blue then this scent is for you! It is light and fresh! Smells amazing! This last on my body for only a couple of hours then it will fade away only leaving a hint of scent on my skin. Nice day time perfume and great for teens like me! continued >>

If you like D&G Light Blue, you will definitely like this one. Better even, as it comes in a prettier, more sophisticated package. Also, this scent is not as familiar to people than Light Blue. continued >>
I really like the smell of this perfume. It's so natural and fresh. Unfortunately it doesn't last very long out in the sun. Better for indoors like in the office
This is a lovely fresh scent. I bought it in Taiwan (apparently its a big hit with high school age girls there) love the scent, the problem is that it lasts on me for about an hour, even if I spray it on my clothes. All the scents I love never last on me. Sigh. So sad.

This used to be my favorite scent; it's light, it's inoffensive, and it lasted for days on my clothes. The bottle is sturdy and beautiful, and although the fragrance itself looks purple, it sprays out clear. The other reviewers have already listed the notes, so I won't go over them again except to say that it used to smell like lilac on me.
Unfortunately, I can't really stand it anymore. No one around me wears this perfume, so I have no idea whether it is my bottle of it that turned, or my skin that changed, or whatever other reason. Its former transparency was replaced by something heavily, dirty, musky, and slightly rotten. I would get headaches when wearing this, so I switched to Mom's Shalimar instead.
I would love to try it at a perfume counter and see if it's just my bottle that's off. Since then I had not been able to find a perfume to replace it. Eclat d'Arpege used to be so hauntingly beautiful; it had a presence, but not a very explicit one. Unlike Shalimar, Angel, or Fracas, it doesn't make a bold statement. It gently teases those who smell it, and makes them wonder what it is that they smell, if they smelled anything at all.
That said, I used to wear just a little. A friend once sprayed herself head to toe with it as she would a body spray, and many people stayed away from her that evening.
LOVE this, just bought my 3 rd bottle, going from 30 ml-50 ml-100 ml... Perfectly balanced sweet feminine seductive floral, i donīt know, but it is Me in a bottle. Just one con and it is that I feel it fades pretty fast, or is it maybe not heavy enough, a fairly light and discrete perfume. But with touch up it is perfect! Agree that it has similaritys with Blue/Dolce gabbana, which I never liked, and is totally not me. This one is sooo much better, more floral/fruity/feminine sweetness added to Blue kind of. ADORE!

I normally can't stand peony. That's why I didn't sample eclat for such a long time... Then I realized that it's very well blended and not dominant. Just a whisper...
To be fair this fragrance is a whisper. Pretty much undetectable unless you come very close. But it's lovely.
For me it's the type of smell you get after a shower with an aromatic shower gel, very delicate and close to the skin.
It's a simple but pretty interpretation of green lilac and fresh lemony leaves with a little peony. What impressed me most is -despite the very weak projection- is that it smells very true to the real flowers. No trace of generic smell here!
Overall it's far from a statement fragrance but really pretty for casual wear and hot weather, it can never be overwhelming.
Edit: From the official Lanvin website
''With it's spherical vial and the image of Jeanne Lanvin and her daughter Marguerite, Eclat d'arpege perpetuates a unique heritage, although the black Art Deco vial has now been replaced with a lighter and more flowery transparent glass sphere. Eclat d'Arpege emphasises the green freshness of lilac, the delicacy of wisteria and peach blossom, the generosity of Chinese osmanthus and Lebanese cedar.
Art director Alber Elbaz designed a top that features two entwined wedding bands, symbolizing love and union between two Arpege perfumes, two periods, and between the designer the House. A powerful testimony to filial love, and love in general.''
