OMIGOD I LOVE the 'Just Barely' That is the only light frosty pink lipstick that doesnt remind me of a cheap Pam Anderson wannabe hooker! (lol imagery is such a big part of my life). Anyway off that soapbox and onto the product. I have tried MANY other pink lipsticks and this one has ruined me. I have MAC in 'High Tea' and don't get me wrong I love it, its MAC, whats not to love but its not my 'Just Barely' :(
Of course as with all my VERY favorite HG products this one is also a discontinued. Also with my very favorite lipsticks, shadows and such, some small child comes along and must be attracted to the stuff for the same reason but ends up smashing/destroying it. I was ROYALLY p*ssed at my friends kid when he smashed this one. I'm so desperate to have it though that I kept it, smashed and all. WHY, Jane, WHY did you have to tease me with this one?!

I too have partly peach and I love it! It's the only lipcolor I have found that matches my lips exactly, but better. Too bad it's discontinued!!!

A few years back they had the color PARTLY PEACH and it was THE best lip stick color ever! I would so love it if they brought this color back.

I had this in Partly Peach, and it was the one lipstick I repurchased again and again. Sadly, it is now discontinued. Please, if anyone has this lipstick and doesn't use it anymore, let me know! I'd be happy to swap for it.

I bought this because of the hype, but found it to be just OK, in Bareberry. It's a very neutral brownish-pink, not really berry, sort of a your lips but better color. The color is kind of flat, not a true sheer, and while moisturizing, it feels kind of heavy on the lips. I'm glad there is no scent or added taste, and the small size is cute. Nothing special.

I have this in three shades...Just Barely, Bareberry, and Berry Pretty. The colors are pretty enough, although Bareberry is brown with no "berry" in it...but this is advertised as a "sheer lipstick" and there just is no such thing. This goes on more like a full-coverage lipstick. Plus, it is no more shiny than a regular shimmer lipstick.
This just does not seem to last...it stays on for about an hour, tops. Plus, it actually dries my lips out...I can just see the moisture being sucked right from my lips! The small packaging is a plus, but everything else is bleah. continued >>

I have Teddy Bare and itīs easely one of my fave lippies. The formula is creamy and moisturizing and leaves a slight glossy finish. Great stuff for such a small price.

Wow. I REALLY like these a lot. Nice colors, long-lasting (on me) and more lightweight than Lip Huggers. I even went back to Wal-Mart today and bought 4 more Bareberrys in case they really are discontinued. Great price and cute lil case.

This is one of my all time favorite lipstick products, one which I haven't been able to find for years now. :( The shine and unique texture of these is what makes them so special. And as always, Janes lip product shades are always among the most tasteful of low end brands. I hate that my local Wal Marts and drug stores just don't bother to re-stock with Jane products anymore.

Love this nice, sheer lipstick. I have it in partly peach, which, as another reviewer has observed, is more rose colored than peach. But it's perfect for this PPP. Sometimes I layer Prestige Vinylwear lip gloss in glaze over it and it's perfect!

I have used several shades of Barely Lips and have always been pleased. My favorite is "Partly Peach." The colors are flattering and pretty without being too bold, and the formula is somewhat moisturizing. The packaging is efficient and the price is right. (usually no more than $4 max) I've been upset that I can't seem to find Barely Lips in stores recently, but if I ever find them again I will definitely snap up as many as possible!

"Rosy Outlook" looked fuschia on me. "Just Barely" was an average nude. "Bye Bye Brown" is a plummy brown that is the only one I like. They are sheer and the consistency is ok. I don't wear gloss on top of this since they don't need it.

I love the texture and sheerness of these. Lip Huggers, the other lipstick formula I've tried from Jane, seems heavier and almost muddy on me. Bye Bye Brown is a lovely brownish-red which really works with my PPP skin, blue eyes and brown hair. Just lovely! I can't wait to try more colors.

These aren't anything fantastic, IMHO. They are nice and sheer and they don't dry my lips out. There is no awful scent. The shade I got was 'Rose Barely' which was a nice pink rose YLBB shade for me. It had slight shimmer. It lasted about 5 minutes on me though, unfortunatly.

I have this in Partly Peach and Little Pinkie. I love their non-makeup natural look and cute case. Little Pinkie is an iridescent sheer pink- kind of like a lipstick version of my must have Jane Megabites Glossy Gloss in Clearly Pink, although I bought Little Pinkie earlier. I really don't like that shade now, I bought it when I was younger and into those glam mummy lips. Ish. Partly Peach is a deep reddish with hints of peach (not orange! ugh) MLBB color. I love it!

I bought this in barely there in a impulse make-up shopping spree at Wal-Mart and I must say I'm disappointed. From first glance it looks like a normal nude lipstick. However, when you look closely it is quite frost and shimmery. When I put it on my lips, I ended with frosty pink lips. ick. Supposedly the other colors are supposed to be better but I will have yo say nay to this one.

I did a quick run to the States to get some Jane stuff (I live in Canada) and this was one of the things I picked up in barely berry. The product is okay. I definitely has a lipsticky feel which I was hoping to escape (almay pure tints and clinique's different lipstick are both better, so is Maybelline wetshine IMHO) Anyways, the color is okay, maybe a little too frosty for me. I think I may try again with bareberry which I couldn't find on this Jane-run ;o)

i just bought this the other day and love the lipstick. I bought it in the ever popular Bareberry. Its a really pretty sheer red like color. I might pick up the Rose one considering i have been reading rave reviews for the color

These are a nice low-end substitute for MAC Lustres and Clinique Almost Lipsticks. I have Bareberry and Kind of Copper. Bareberry is brown with hints of red and berry, not overwhelming--very neutral. Kind of Copper is exactly as it sounds--a shimmery copper-bronze colour that is especially nice over other lipsticks (like Bareberry). They are not exactly moisturising or extremely shiny, but they have a bit of a lustre to them and are nice and sheer. There seems to be a great selection of neutral and warm colours in this particular formula--can't wait to try more! EDITED 01/26/03 TO ADD: Tried out a few more colours: Just Barely, a light, frosty pink (ew); Rising Star, a mauvish-brown; Partly Peach, which is inexplicably rosy pink (where's the peach part?); and Bye Bye Brown, similar to Bareberry but more brown with a hint of red. Favourites are 1)Bareberry 2)Bye Bye Brown 3)Kind of Copper. The non-shimmery ones (so far the only ones I've found are #1 and 2) are definitely preferable to the shimmers, which can look metallic or frosty. continued >>
