I wasn't fond of this moisturizer at all. It didn't do anything as far as 'shine control' is concerned and I actually felt as if it was heavy on my skin.
I ended up using it as a body lotion more recently to finish it.

This moisturizer is really great at moisturizing. But It has NO shine control AT ALL! It actually made my skin more oily and made my pores look more visible. I do not recommend (Unless you want a shiny face)

I started using this in winter when I began to get dry skin. It smells good, especially when you wake up in the morning. So refreshing! It moistrized my skin pretty well, however I had this one super dry patch on the corner of my mouth that this did not help at all. Plus, I don't think it has shine control and when I first apply it, it makes my skin feel greasy. Will not repurchase sadly :(

This doesnot give a lot of shine control, however my skin felt suprisingly soft and refreshed. The smell is amazing and this product really does moisturize. However wouldnot repurchase as it does nothing to control my oily skin type.

I am pretty surprised by all the REALLY bad reviews because I've been using this for a few months every day and I don't really think it's that bad - it's not great, but not terrible either.
I don't think it's made me break out, but it's difficult to tell because I always have spots anyway. I haven't really noticed an increase since I started using this moisturiser.
It does control shine quite well (however I have been using it in the winter and I don't know how effective it will be when it gets hotter), keeping my face quite shine-free for most of the day.
The moisturiser is quite thick, and at first I was worried it would be too heavy for my oily skin, but it does seem OK. It also has a really nice smell, sort of fresh and fruity. I like the bottle as well - a chunky pump bottle that means you get the perfect amount of moisturiser each time. The price is also very good (I paid £3 or £4 for a 100ml bottle).
All in all, I won't buy this again, because I used to have a much better moisturiser (Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Shine Control Moisturiser) - I only bought this one because they were sold out of the Boots one. I do like the price and the smell, but there are better moisturisers out there at similar prices.

I'm really surprised that this has such low reviews, just because I absoloutely adore this moisturiser. It's perfect for my skin (oily, but gets dry SO easily) and I don't think I'll ever switch from this.
It's very light in texture, but it makes my skin so beautifully soft! It;s not heavy or greasy at all but it still moisturises great so it;s a definite keeper for me :)
Tbh, I haven't really noticed any 'shine control', but it hasn't made my oily skin any worse for sure, so that's good enough for me!

I bought this without reading up on it on MUA first - huge, huge mistake. I couldn't believe all the bad reviews and started using it and man is this stuff horrible!

The consistency is thick and doesn't spread well but still leaves my face tight and dry. I need something richer to go under my EL Double Wear and this stuff made it go on dry and chalky.

This all pales next to the havoc of horribly clogges pores and breakouts this moisturizer has wreaked on my skin. I used it for a week and when I took off my makeup my pores were full of blackheads even though I exfoliate often and cleanse three times a day. I also got nasty cystic pimples on my forehead and chin. My skin was massively DIRTY with all the full blackheads and pimples (something it hasn't been since I was like 16).

It must have been this stuff because I didn't change anything in my skincare routine and when I stopped using it my skin cleared up and I did not get ANY clogged pores at the end of the day. I used Nivea Soft (a lot more greasy) as a day cream and it made me significantly less oily that Clean&Clear, quite ridiculous...

It also smells like toilet freshener. Don't buy this stuff, it's terrible. I'm still so mad at it. continued >>

my face feels oily and looks shiny after using it. I bought this along with the morning burst shine control exfoliating scrub and cleanser. I've only ever used it two or three times.

Really surprised this has such a low overall rating, I think this moisturiser's great!
I have quite oily skin that gets dry easily and this is perfect for me. It's texture is really light, sort of like a gel, and you only need a small amount for your whole face. It's made my skin so soft, better than any other moisturiser I've tried. Not sure about the oil control, it probably keeps me ok for an hour or so, but it definitely doesn't make me any worse. Also,it smells quite nice as well.. really fresh!

Ugh. Remind me never to buy any product again without first consulting the collective wisdom of MUA. Got this on a whim because I have oily skin and am always on the lookout for mattifying products. Love the pump, but this just made my face oilier! I now use this occasionally as a lotion for my hands, heels, knees and elbows.

Total waste of money right there. I don't know how moisturizing this actually is, since the shine it gave me was all I could focus on as far as this product is concerned.
Spend a little more and get something good, seriously.

I actually like this product. I'm not too convinced that it controls shine for more than 2 or 3 hours, but thats like any other moisturizer I use.

I might buy this agian but honestly I probabbly won't. I was in a pinch since I lost my other moisturizer somewhere, and had about $15 to buy another one ASAP at like 4am in the morning at the only drugstore open in Vancouver.

Gosh, I cannot explain my hate for this moisturizer. Ick ick ick. Please do not buy it! I had really dry skin today because I got a few pimples since im on my period and i used my gel to try to zap them, which made those areas dry. So i exfoliated my skin and put this one mixed with a little of my clinique dramatically different moisturizer (buy that!) and after that i went to my basement and was watching a movie with my brother, but i went upstairs like 2 hours later and my face was sooooo oily. ICK! I threw that shit right out. do not buy it PLEASE. unless you like the appearance of having olive oil all over your face...

This moisurizer isn't all that great. First of all, the texture of the moisturizer sucks. It does control your shine for the first two or three hours, but it doesn't really moisturize at all. I bought it and I've only used it three times because I don't like it at all. Neutrogena probably has better shine control moisturizers.

This moisturizer is DISGUSTING. I love the dual action by C&C but this is nothing like it. It makes my face feel a hundred times greasier when that is what it's supposed to prevent! WTF?! I also break out when I try to use this. Its not worth any amount to me and I just am not a fan... Skip it. continued >>

I got this product thinking it would keep my face oil free for at least for 7 hours and it really didn't, i hate it. It made my face so much more oily then it was to begin with. So i just stopped using it within the first week. I would never buy this again.

this moisturizer did the exact opposite of what it promised: it made my face 10x more oily, but extremely dry around my mouth and nose.
don't buy!

CRAP ALERT! I have combo/sensitive/acne-prone skin, and I was hoping this would control my shine. It didn't. What it did was:
-screwed up my perfume with it's crappy scent
-made my face OILIER than it was before
-broke me out
-screwed up my makeup by making it fall/slip off my face
-felt heavy on my skin
-wasted my money
- pump clogged/ dried it up (not that I minded)
-made my skin drier and RED!
-drew attention to my flakies
-drew attention to my zits and problem areas
I am so sorry I ever bought this. Clean & Clear is complete crap, don't ever buy it,
and I won't ever touch one of their products again! EVER!

This moisturizer is light-weight and is pretty quickly absorbed into my skin. It doesn't lessen my shininess any, but at least it doesn't exacerbate it. The pump does a pretty good job in dispensing just enough to use.

Don't expect miracles with this one, you'll be disappointed. This is an OK moisturizer with a nice scent that definitely doesn't "control shine" on my oily skin anyway. It's pretty good for moisturizing but I hate that it doesn't have an SPF so won't be buying this again.
