I did like this cleanser when I used it. It's designed for sensitive skin. It's mild enough, but can be a little drying (probably due to castile soap listed in its ingredients), and has a very, very light (kinda weird, indescribable) scent. The only reason I stopped using it was because it has St. John's Wort Oil listed as one of its ingredients. I read somewhere that St. John's Wort can decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. I'm not 100% sure if St. John's Wort oil used on the skin would actually effect bcps, especially since its washed off and not left on the skin, but I didn't want to take any chances.

INGREDIENTS: Coconut Fatty Acid Cream Base, Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Castile Liquid Soap, Horsetail Extract, Calendula Oil, St. John's Wort Oil, Coltsfoot Extract, Coneflower Extract, Linoleic Acid (Vitamin F), Panthenol (Vitamin B-5), Carrot Oil, Aubrey's Preservative (Citrus Seed Extract, Vitamins A, C and E), Organic Lemon Peel Oil.

Vegan. No animal testing. Gluten Free.

This is a nice cleanser, well to me it doesnt feel much of a cleanser like as in washing away the dirt and makeup but more or a cleansing conditioner for the skin. I use this w/ my clarisonic and i really like it, it leaves my face feeling really soft and fresh but i use this after iv already washed my face twice w/ my reg. foamy face wash. so i really dont know how well this removes makeup and such, im guessing not too well. iv tried aurbreys oily skin cleanser and that one removed a bit of makeup so im sure this sensitive one wont budge anything like that. So thats why i think its best to use these cleanser on clean skin just to really get deep in the pores and leave the skin moisturized.
PROS:
-very hydrating
-non irritating
-has a nice light scent
-vegan and organic/all natural
-cheap
-helps brighten the skin
-no heavy residue left behind
-no alcohol

CONS:
-bottle can be a pain to squeeze sometimes
-not for removing makeup or actually washing the skin

I absolutely love this cleanser. I always use it in the winter when my skin gets dry and irritated. It doesn't really take off makeup, but thats fine with me! It doesn't irritate or break me out. My only complaint is the bottle - the cleanser is quite thick and can be difficult to get out of the opening - a pump would work better.

This cleanser feels really nice, and doesn't irritate my skin at all. It doesn't seem to dry it out either. I've been using it for a month now and although it doesn't break me out, that could be because I'm using a topical acne treatment anyway. I feel like this does cleanse my face but its so gentle that when I wear mmu, cleanse with the vegecol and then wipe my face with a cotton ball, there is some makeup residue.
Edit: I am changing to 3 lippies because I decided to switch cleansers. I liked this cleanser for being natural, but switched to Obagi, because while the vegecol is decent, it does not take off makeup, and this makes me feel like it isn't an effective cleanser. There are other cleansers that don't strip skin but are still effective.

It's only now that I've stopped using this product, nearly two years (!) after I started using it for my extremely sensitive skin, that I've realized how terrible it is. I kept using it because I thought it was doing a decent job, but I recently switched to Aveeno and my skin is a million times better. I don't think Vegecol does a very good job of cleaning the skin and leaves a great deal of build-up on it; it also often made my skin red and irritated. I was drawn in by the ingredients list, but this isn't for me, I've decided. I hope others have better luck with it.

A small bottle of this was included in the sensitive skin travel set from Aubrey Organics. I like this product but the packaging really sucks! This is a THICK cream and they decided to put it in a narrow plastic bottle?! Who came up with that? Anyway, it doesn't irritate my skin and does an okay job of washing off makeup, although some eye makeup may get smudged under the eyes and have to be removed separately. I would purchase it again but I really wish they would change the container.

I seriously want to love this cleansing lotion. My face was burning, dry with flakiness. After i washed it with the cleanser (about a nickel size), it calms down the burning and made me feel so moisturized. The toner also calms my skin, leaving it smooth. The cream though, I am not so sure, after I put on a dime size on my face, i feel not enough, I have to put on a dollar size instead. I know it's a lot of cream, but my skin was just beyond dry. In 4 days, my combination, sensitive skin became very smooth, hydrated and plumped. There's no oiliness, just like normal skin. Except that I saw an increasing amount of white bumps every morning. I did reduce the amount of cleanser and cream to green pea size, but still those white bumps kept coming, they have no heads, I can't squeeze them. My face remain normal, no oiliness but with tons of white bumps. I really freaked out and changed to the Blue-Algae line (combination oily), thinking it might be lighter for my combination skin. but I broke out completely with red bumps on my face. The Blue-Algae line is too drying for me.
Does anyone have the same experience with me in the vegecol line? I figure it might be the coconut fatty acid cream base in the product, maybe that's why it leaves the skin so soft and smooth in such a short period of time, but in fact it's a layer that I cannot wash away and builds up everyday, causing the white bumps growing in a bacteria growing rate. Just a thought.

I so wanted to like this, but I was very disappointed with it. It felt very soothing going on, but it seemed to do approximately nothing to cleanse my dry, dehydrated, mature, sensitive rosacea-blessed skin. I don't wear makeup & don't have a need for grease/dust/smog etc. removal. Still, after just 2 or 3 days using this 2X @ day I could see clogs building up in my already-clogged pores & lots of dead skin & skin debris building up. Using a washcloth didn't help matters much, & anyway my rosacea won't put up with a washcloth more than once a wk. This did leave my skin feeling moisturized, but it was like rubbing oil onto skin & not cleaning it off. It wasn't even as good as OCM, which doesn't agree w/me anyway.
The product's very thick & hard to get out of the bottle, which should stand on its cap. I forget what I paid for it-I think it was something like $8.49.
This might be a good cleanser for someone w/dry, sensitive skin which doesn't produce a lot of debris that needs to be exfoliated. continued >>

This is a good cream cleanser for dry sensitive skin. The container should have the lid on the bottom because it is really thick and hard to get out. Removes light makeup well, but for heavy makeup, you may need to wash twice or use a cloth to remove all makeup.

I use this most of the year, except in the hot summer when I switch to Keys soap. Occasionally it will slightly burn my sensitive skin, but overall this is a great moisturizing cleanser. The base, like many Aubrey Orgabics products, is made of thick coconut fatty acid cream. Very low toxicity according to the EWG website.

I searched for a long time for something that was non-toxic, moisturizing, and kind to my sensitive skin, and this fills the bill.

I am really impressed with this cleanser. I started using it about 5 days ago, and it has worked wonders for my skin. When I started my skin was extremely dry, irritated, and severely broken out from a very bad encounter w/ MyChelle Clear Skin Serum. I had been using this just in the morning, and using my regular Albolene + Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar at night since I believed that it wouldn't cleanse my skin enough to remove my makeup, sunscreen, etc. However, I was wrong. This removes every except my waterproof mascara, but then again I've never used a cream cleanser that removed foundation, so a little waterproof mascara is no big deal. It does all this w/o leaving my skin feeling stripped, but definitely getting it clean. Anyway, w/in just a few days of using it in the morning only my skin calmed down considerably, and now my skin is almost completely clear of acne. I was concerned w/ the "coconut fatty acid cream base", but even though I'm acne prone I've never had problems w/ coconut oil. If you have acne prone skin and don't know how your skin reacts to coconut oil get the trial size first to be on the safe side.

At first I was excited to try this sensitive skin product with all natural ingredients. I've been using it for a month and my skin has completely broken out. I've never had really bad skin but it does get irritated easily. Now I have blotchy red skin with blemishes. My skin has never looked this bad.

I'm shocked to see such low ratings on this cleanser. This has worked wonders for my skin. I used to breakout a lot but after going on bc, i no longer get pimples for the past 2 years. However, I have really large pores, blackheads on the nose, and some acne scars on my cheek. Therefore, eventhough without the pimples, my skin doesn't look great. I soon read about all the chemicals in regular products and wanted to try something organic. I stumbled upon Aubrey's Vegecol line at Sprouts one day. I wanted to try the one for sensitive skin first because I didn't want any bad reactions. Overnight, I felt a difference in my skin. My skin was much softer, plump, smaller pores, redness went away, overall a very clear complexion. Even people at work noticed the difference and it wasn't just my imagination. I love the texture of the cleanser and how squeaky clean it makes my skin feel afterwards. I've never felt like this about any cleanser before since it always takes awhile to really see the difference. Now I always look forward to washing my face. I bought the travel pack so it also came with toner, mask, and moisturizer. I'm not too sure about the toner since it didn't seem to do much. I know it has really good reviews on here but it feels like plain water. I love the mask because you can use it as a mask and a scrub as well. Makes my face really soft afterwards. Not too sure about the moisturizer though. Not used to the texture and I don't like how it doesn't have spf. Although my BF did use it for a few days and instantly it cleared his breakout and irritation from those workout pills he takes. So I'm pretty sure its good for you, just need to give it another chance. Anyhow, unfortunately I continued to read more reviews and Mychelle seemed to be more popular and had higher ratings so I wanted to try that as well. I used that for 2 weeks and it irritated my skin. I decided to go back to Aubrey's Vegecol and again, overnight it transformed my skin. I am thinking this a miracle product. I just hope after doing this review, i don't jinx it. Anyhow, I love it and hopefully it keeps on working for me. I referred it to a few freinds so lets see if it has the same effects on them. Maybe it's just me, we'll see.

I've been using this product for several months now. I have very dry, very sensitive skin that gets redness and dry patches. I'm pretty happy with this product. I don't wear much makeup, but it takes off the toughest of it, the mascara, with no problems. It is not drying out my skin or clogging my pores or causing any kind of breakouts. I don't know if it is doing anything good necessarily, but it's not doing anything bad, either, which automatically makes it a winner over many other things I've tried, especially since it's pretty inexpensive. Therefore, I will probably keep using it.

This is the gentlest of the gentle, and it is inflammatory, too. I have trouble with pending rosacea and redness. This natural product removes makeup and calms the skin down. You'll know what I mean by "calms the skin down" if you have troubles with irritation and ruddiness. I use number 6, the cleanser for sensitive skin.
When followed by the vegecol moisturizing lotion, my skin becomes more even toned and more porcelain.
I use this product also when I have been giving my skin a workout with serums, scrubs and/or prescription ointments. I use it with a washcloth to get a bit of an exfoliation in.

I'm surprised this cleanser got such negative reviews? I found it very soothing to my sensitive skin & it removed my heavy makeup. I actually think the entire Vegecol line by Aubrey is quite good for people such as myself with very sensitive, easily irritated skin.
Before using Aubrey's Vegecol products, I tried the Rosa Mesqueta line for dry skin but got irritated from them. I couldn't tolerate the natural grain alcohol in the cleanser nor the sweet almond oil in the moisturizer. I have very sensitive skin. continued >>

My skin is super sensitive and many facewashes leave my skin broken out and slightly red. Used this cleanser for 5 or so days on a trip and my skin was ok with it. Didn't leave my skin dry or tight and no redness. I did have a couple blemishes in/on my eyebrow area but I rarely have that happen. Still I didn't use it for two weeks as is my usual try out period. My skin may get along with a product the first couple of days and/or week but then break out like crazy at the end of the first week or two weeks. So this past couple of days of my skin being ok doesn't mean much. We'll see about this if I purchase it again.

The Vegecol toner from this line is my HG toner so I decided to give this cleanser a chance. Bad idea. It smells lemon-y and detergent like, and it instantly made me break out. Looking at the ingredients list I can't see how this can be good for you.

I have two bottles of this in my bathroom: one at the sink and one in the shower. Use it every day to wash. Depending on my eye makeup it may not always get it all off, but that's the beauty of it. If it got all of my gel eyeliner just like that I would be a little nervous about whether or not it was safe for my sensitive skin. The texture does take some getting used to - I find that shaking the bottle a bit before using makes it more consistent.

My skin is more dry than sensitive, so this actually works really well. I find the after feel nice but not greasy. It also takes off the waterproof makeup (bobbi brown gel eyeliner) I use so I love it.
