This lipstick is indeed a bit drying, not like other Chanel lipsticks. Not too dry for me though. The smell is not nice. The metallic glitter is on the surface of the lipstick but some metallic does show up on my lips and I like it. It's the staying power and the color that makes me rate this one high: #51, Flash is a beautifully deep red - with that subtle metallic glitter. (I have dark brown hair, green eyes, fair skin - NW25).

These lipsticks are expensive, they taste bad and they chap my lips. $22 for what exactly? I would give them a 0 if it existed.

I have to say that I looked forward to buying a first indulgent goodie from this line--the metallic lipsticks looked so tempting! I purchased one in Bronze. However, I was not pleased...let me explain why. The metallic flitter is only on the surface of the lipstick; it isn't integrated into the product, so you've got this useless gold dust all over your lips, and then you smear the lipstick color over it. Hmmm. Not a winner, either in concept or realization. So that's...one negative. Two, the texture of this was drying, and the smell/taste of it was not attractive. I would say it lasted quite well, but when you don't like the way a lipstick smells or feels, what difference does that make?? (I wonder if it's possible I ended up with old stock that was a bit dried out?? Who can say?) Anyway, how annoying...after two attempts at wearing this, it went in the trash! Oh well! I don't feel compelled to try another Chanel lipstick...
