I have been using this product on and off for 10 yrs. I use this serum a.k.a it is a cream for me.I tend to use this product in summer. From La Prairie range I only use this one since in my opinion the other products from LP are a waste of money esp the platinium range. It contains anti-oxidants and a good doze of cell -communicating ingredients. It contains petrolum but it is not an issue for me. Downside it is the price however a bottle lasts roughly one yr.

I like this product because there isn't anything harmful in the ingredients except for Methylparaben which is so far down the list it doesn't really matter. I was hesitant at first because I have oily skin, but one drop of this gives me a radiance.

I noticed Sodium Hyaluronate is pretty high on the list and that is supposed to be really good for your skin. I recommend to people of all skin types!

I was given a deluxe 5 ml sample because I told SA that my skin reacts to products a lot and said that I want to try them first before spending $200+ on it.
Luckily I did because this product didn't impressed me at all
Pros:
+ Feels nice on skin (but all other serums do too)
+ Moisturises well
+ Nice bottle with pump (even tester)
Cons:
- BROKE ME OUT! I got lots of big red blemishes under my nose and on my chin. I only used to get small whitish breakout if the product was clogging my pores. But never so badly esp. on my lower half of the face.
- I found scent pretty unpleasant
- Very expensive, not worth $200+! You can get something similar for 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost. Cheaper but still higher-end serums like Estee Lauder Idealist and Clinique Turnaround performed way better for me.

Of all my facial treatments, this is my absolute favorite. I mostly use this from fall through spring, once at night, when my skin gets dry and flaky patches from seasonal change. (If I use this before the weather changes, it prevents the dry/flaky patches.) It moisturizes wonderfully for a serum. As this is a serum, you still need to use moisturizer on top.
It is quite pricey but I usually use one pump a day and the whole product usually lasts 6 months or so.
The texture is soft and silky with a very light fragrance.
It is also great for plane rides (all that recirculating air is drying) - you can bring this on your carry-on as it is only 1.7 fluid oz.
I would cry if LP every discontinued this.

This is a really good hydrating serum. I am a 22 year old male. I have been using this serum for a week now and my skin is really enjoying the treatment. I will continue using this through the fall and winter. Gives great moisture to dry thirsty skin. It's a star in my book.

I've just been thought one bottle of this. Lovely light texture, worked wonders on my patch of dry skin, which for a while was red and weepy, brought on by Shu Uemura's primer which contains some agreesive SPF. This serum calmed it down in just a few nights, which is amazing considering it feels so gentle and is oil free. Overall, my face seems a little bit more hydrated since starting to use the serum. Nothing dramatic though, apart from above mentioned dry patch. Don't think I will purchase again. Unless my dry patch returns and no other serum can sort it out. Too expensive for what it does, even though it does last for ages.

I have combination skin and every winter my skin gets excessively dry. This is the only product that has worked for me. I use it every winter and it'll last for the whole season. If I use it in any other season, I'd break out. I highly recommend it if you need a quick fix.

This is a nice hydrating serum. I have very oily ance-prone skin and my skin is very picky when it comes to moisturizers.
I'm using acne treatment products all the time (SA, BPO, AHA, and recently mandelic acid) which leave my skin with dry patches. Normal moisturizer can't help with this. The dry parts are very visible when I wear foundation. La prairie cellular hydrating serum is very light weight, absorbs quickly. I am now using it on top of mandelic acid 10% (non-alcohol) and it does solve the problem of dryness.
I believe that even it's only a hydrating serum and other brands also have a similar range, some brands are not more expensive than others for no reasons. Since this serum does the job and is not harmful for my skin I'm gonna buy it again despite the price tag !!!

I always carry this when I travel - it is the best thing against skin dehydration from flying. And I fly quite regularly. I don't use it on a daily basis, my skin doesn't need it, so a bottle lasts me a long time, but I'll definitely keep repurchasing.

I have skin that leans towards oily in the summer and dry in the winter and this serum worked beautifully at all times of year. My skin felt absolutely amazing after putting it on and stayed hydrated throughout the day. In the summer months I did not notice any greasiness or over oilyness that I tend to get from other moisturizers and in the winter my face stayed hydrated throughout the day - even in enviroments that were incredibly dry due to heating. The only downfall I found was the price. It's definately not in my normal budget range for cosmetics but one bottle lasts me for ages. It's the only product that I will truly splurge for. I sampled a few creams and serums from La Mer and Daphin and found this one to be overall the best.
My husband is not happy about my discovery.

Hi everybody,
I am just starting to write reviews of all make up products I've tried over the years, and in my opinion its best to start from
something which evokes only pleasant memories, something like this serum. I have normal to dry, and in winter really dry,
skin, which apart from dryness is prone to breakouts and spontaneous allergic reaction. So I have to be very careful choosing what am I going to
apply on a daily basis. When I first tried this serum I tried it in combination with some other La Prairie products, which are not bad,
but without that extra help of the serum they simply do not perform well enough for me. Besides, Hydrating Serum never gave me any problems,
which is why I love it only more and more. Its my third bottle coming to an end, and I am going to buy another one quite soon.

This is my holy grail of serum for dehydrated skin. Ladies, be warned... even when you have oily skin like mine, your skin can be dehydrated. It's a great little product, not in a glass jar like every other LP product. Easy to carry on the plane, and comes in a hygenic 50mL pump bottle. The best thing, you know how much is left. In terms of packaging, it's great and convenient. Price... hmm...
I had really dry skin during winter, suffered from winter acne, flakes, couldn't even apply foundation without looking like a shrivelled up orange. So here comes this nifty freebie and in within seconds I got rid of the dry flakes, and I could apply foundation like a dream. Love it! I've had this bottle for a year now and I'm still on it. So it does last a while and a small amount goes a long long way...

LP hydrating serum saved my skaly, itchy and sensitive skin this winter. Usually I have combo sensitive skin, but the low temperatures and the heated rooms made my skin crave for hydration. I got this in December and the bottle lasted until end of March with two applications daily. Of course LP is expensive, but the serum penetrates deeply into the skin and heals out all the dermatitic cystes I got due to dryness. In summer, I guess I can wear this a night treatment alone - no extra moisturizer needed - so it is not that expensive on the long run. I gave the packaging a 3, because the flacon should really be designed as light-save, i.e. in a light-reflecting container, like the La Prairie desensitizing serum. Otherwise: I'll never go anywhere in the world without my hydrating serum. In the last two weeks, I spent like 50 USD on moisturizers (La Roche Posay eau thermale spray, Toleriane fluid, Hydraphase fluid, Sephora, Olay, Clarins, J&J, J&J baby lotion, etc you name it) that didn't work - I learnt my lesson. continued >>

I really like how light weight and runny the texture is! A tiny bit goes a long way! Besides doing the obvious hydrating job, I am amazed by the GLOW that I've developed on my face from using this. After washing my face with no products and no oil on at all, my face has this LUMINESCENCE, especially near the inner corners and under my eyes on top of my cheekbone where the light hits. Great stuff!

very lightweight serum that provides hydration without causing any breakouts. it does give that healthy glow. the price is very high and there are other cheaper serums out there that provide similar results. I do enjoy using this but the price tag is a consideration.

I received a delux sample (which has its own cute pump: love la prairie's generous sample policy!), and I expected a lot from this product. But I must say that I was disappointed. I could not notice big differences with this serum. Despite its rather heavy texture, it did not provide hydrating boost for my dry skin. If you're interested in this product, definitely try a sample first.

I didn't like this serum (first of all because its scent). You can find very similar preduct of any other brand for less.

It is OK but I'm not sure is it more effective in terms of moisturization than other hydrating serums I've been using so far. Rather rich consistency for a serum, almost like an emulsion... Got some breakouts on my chin since I've been using it (for a week now). Scent is so-so, not very pleasant.

This is an excellent hydrator for acne-prone skin. Non-greasy and absorbed into my skin instantly. Just a pump is enough for my face. Surprisingly, this doesnt make my skin any oilier by mid-afternoon. That is why I am rating this a 5!!! This is for those who have oily acne-prone skin and yet de-hydrated, you know what I mean. Normally, my skin doesnt need moisturizer but I do have "dry spells" on some days. This is just what I needed on those days. This is not a miracle cream - just a very good hydrator for problematic skin!!!
