This is one of the very few lipsticks I've actually used a brush to go in and get the last bits of. I bought it - used it up and moved onto other lippie adventures but my heart returned after so many products and colors to this one simple neutral. It is beautiful and takes years off a mature face and polishes up a teen at the same time. Simply the best!

I love this lipstick. I like the scent and the color is beautiful. It makes my lips look pouty and plush and pink, like a baby's rosy lips. Or like a foolish virgin's. I my experience men respond well to this color, I think because it doesn't seem like a big, intimidating lipstick. It makes you look like a young and beautiful girl. In the tube it looks vey opaque but it goes on sheer. It's subtle enough for day but sexy enough for night. It stays on for hours but doesn't dry out my lips. I like the formula so much that I want to check out other colors. May be the only lipstick I've ever used up. Love it!

I bought this product on a whim, and it turned out to be the best lipstick purchase I ever made. The formula is amazing, hands down the best I've tried. It's moisturizing like a balm, has the pigmentation of a lipstick, and is as long wearing as a stain. The color is a gorgeous mauve, and I can't wait to get some different colors!

I love this color! I bought it today at Sephora where VL's line is 75% off--this lipstick was around 6-7 dollars I think. Seriously, I hope this line isn't going away completely.. and it is just going away at Sephora. I think this lip color is a YLBB shade. I'm NC25 with dark hair and eyes FYI. I love the stylish black tube, and the consistency is very light and moisturizing. I feel like a lady when I put it on. It is a great day color! I will repurchase if I go through it. I wish I had found this color sooner!

So pretty!! I've got fair skin and medium-pigmented lips. I bought this the other day just browsing at Sephora, I was walking by the Vincent Longo section and this color just popped and I had to try it out! Now maybe this was coincidence, but after I put this on (it lasted a few hours), I got hit on by WAY more guys than normal. So maybe it was just a good day, but let's be honest: I was wearing sweatpants and a ponytail. This is like a your-lips-but-better shade, or at least it is for me. With this and tiny bit of blush I look like a doll =P Anyway, it's pink and very cool toned, so it's good for my fair, cool coloring. Very pretty and not drying! It doesn't wear as a lip stain, but it isn't as in-your-face as a lipstick, either. Very creamy and satiny =)

I disagree with some of the other reviewers who say this is a cool color for cool skintones--I have a medium, slightly yellow complexion and find Foolish Virgin to be a good color on me--it's a medium mauve with a bit of brown for depth--it's not too pale or pink at all! Gives a slightly darker YLBB shade on my pale lips.

I've been wearing this shade for a few years now and I still love it. I find that it works as a lipstain but feels like a lipstick. I apply a thick layer on and then gently blot off the excess with a tissue. It leaves a nice even stain of pink even after eating. I usually put on some lipbalm or lipgloss for quick touch up. For some reason the only shade that works as a stain for me is Foolish Virgin. I tried Americana and Fleur de Flirt and they wore off like regular lipsticks.

This is a sheer and pretty lip color that would work on most complexions. It's been a while, but I think I bought it for the name more than anything else. It cracked me up. I use it but I wouldn't spend so much $ on something I'm lukewarm about.

I really like this color, a very pretty mauve-pink that is much sheerer than it looks in the tube. It's slightly drying, but I use Burt's Bees balm over it so it's not bad at all. I'm very fair and I find it's a very good shade, not overly dark or fake looking. The only problem I have with it really is that it is named "stain" and it really does not stain. Not a great lasting ability really.

So many others have said this is a beautiful, sheer pink on them. I guess my lips have decided to make it otherwise. It actually becomes a very flat mauve on my lips. So sad. This is a Lip Stain I won't soon be repurchasing.

this is a really great rosey pink color. i'm fair and use it almost daily to perk my face up. it has a nice texture...is a little glossy when going on..but not overly. my lips are dry so i use a balm first. i think this has ok staying power too. it's a good basic lipstick in a YLBB shade of pretty pink. makes me feel pretty! *edit* perhaps a little too pinky for me.....i'm more warm toned and have realized i should probably wear less "cool" colors. i like VL though.

The color looks great in the tube, it's definitely more "bright pink" on my lips though. Still pretty a nice color though. What I hate is that it totally dries out my lips after about an hour. It starts to feel so nasty I have to constantly wipe it off and apply a fresh layer. I imagine after another week or so I'll throw it into my makeup case never to be seen again. Plus $23 seems like a lot to pay for a regular tube of lipstick, no fancy packaging or anything. I gladly spend $30 on my Chanel lipstick, but that's worth it. This is not!

I agree 100% with the last two reviewers on this product, probably because I have similar warm skintone. I bought VL Foolish Virgin lipstain about 5 years ago but since owning it, I've worn it only a handful of times! It is a gorgeous cool pinky-mauve shade (kind of unique), but I find the only time this works on my warm NC25-30 skintone is if I am wearing a very cool coloured top or a similar coloured top (sheerly applied/blotted, it looks ok on me) ... otherwise, it seems to clash a bit. I like the fact that the texture is smooth and it leaves behind a nice stain, but I did notice it dries my lips after a few hours. I won't be buying this one again and I also don't think this lipstick is superior enough for me to want to try other shades.

I needed another natural-toned pink lippie, and I had been wanting to try Foolish Virgin forever! It looks beautiful in the tube-mauve with a touch of lilac! But unfortunately, this is one of those colors that only looks good on me in the right light. Looks great in artificial light (ie: The bathroom), but in the sun I look like Malibu Barbie!!=0( Just a bit too cool-toned for my NC30 skin! If you have any golden or olive undertones, I'd stay away! Like the review below states, this would be an excellent YLBB for cool-toned girls!

This is not remotely YLBB on me (neutral to warm, fair, dark green eyes, dark brown hair). I think it would be more likely to be a YLBB color for pale cool-skinned women. I can't wear it alone as it's too cool and has a little too much of a blue undertone. Having said that, I do like layering it with other colors to brighten them and make them pinker.

This is a truly moisturizing lipstick. So many lipsticks out there say that they are when they aren't. It just feels great when its on. I waited too long to try this lipstick. I also have Americana (rosy red), but I like Foolish Virgin better. Foolish Virgin is a blue-ish pinky mauve. I think its great for Fall and Winter. I'm a pale gal and it works with my green eyes. Now, I own enough lipsticks and should not buy another one in my lifetime. But I love the consistency of this lipstick and would like to try other colors of VL's lip stain. Great product. Lived up to the hype for me. But it still smarted to pay $23 at Ulta. Will try Nude next.

I LOVE this lipstick. Bought it yesterday at Sephora and it's already never leaving my side. Everything about it is ideal for me--it's creamy and leaves behind a hint of color when it wears off. It's a pinky/mauve that is a bit darker than my natural lip color. And somehow, my lips look plumper when I wear it. I have found my HG lipstick after trying hundreds since I was 13! I can't imagine this looking bad on ANYONE unless you have very very dark skin.

This is my third VL lipstain and maybe my favorite. A deep mauve color. Very creamy, but is lasting on me. Leaves a little stain behind when the glossy part is gone. I like much more than the Wet Pearl formula.

This is a great lip stick. Very creamy with just the right amount of color. It doesn't really "stain" my lips, but still wears fairly well. Because I liked this one so much I ended up buying it in two other colors (Nolita & Cherry). continued >>

A lousy product with little, to no colour. And it wore off fast, leaving chapped lips. Not a winner. There are much better products on the market!
