Got it in tk maxx for £1, but this is so good I'd buy it at full price. Every Almay lip product I've tried has been great, and this is no exception. The colour is very natural and pretty, but strong enough to be striking. The formula is sheer and silky, it stays put for ages, it makes my lips look full and sexy, and as always with almay, there is tons of product in the nice chunky tube.

I'm rapidly becoming a big fan of this brand - if the make up counter was high school, almay would be that girl who doesn't have much money, but always manages to look glossy, natural and gorgeous, much to the annoyance of the snobby, over-madeup, trying-too-hard incrowders (Chanel and friends, I'm talking about you!). continued >>

I bought this AAAGGGEESS ago...can't even remember when. But I love the shimmery purpley petal colour! Wouldn't repurchase, now that I've discovered the wonders of MAC and Kanebo.

Such a beautiful color! It looks like my natural lip color, but better. I love how smooth it feels - unlike most glosses that feel sticky and slimy (e.g. M.A.C.'s LipGlass). Will buy again (if I can find it).

I bought this product yesterday to quell my lipgloss obsession (I tend to buy 1-2 per week, but can really not afford to maintain my addiction to high-end products!), & I must say I'm really impressed!
I chose this colour (violet) because it was the pinky-shade I had in my mind (all of my lipglosses are shades of pink/red/peach), & although it is not a noticable colour, it enhances the natural beauty of my lips & gives an attractive sheen to them.
The consistency is fabulous (lurve my Jt's but sometimes I just don't feel like being walking fly-paper!), the wand provides easy application & it really doesn't have any odour at all (I love my glosses to smell fruity, but no smell is 10 times better than a bad smell!), the packaging is basic & chic, & for £4.75 I have absolutely no complaints. It reminds me a lot of my Chanel Glossimer (consistency wise) & is literally half the price.
There is not a great range of colours, but Almay is generally a good quality product at an affordable price.
I would definitely buy this lipgloss again. continued >>

This is the ONLY lipgloss I would actually use all the time. It's not sticky like most lipgloss, the color (violet) is so sheer but yet it has enough color, look very nature, with that "just right" tint of shine & shimmer... will make you look nature all the time. continued >>

Violet is a lovely shade. It's really not violet but a shimmery pink. I believe it's discontinued but I was fortunate enough to pick up one of these in a beauty market store in the city for about $3. The only rant I have would be the smell (though it's faint I still don't like it) and the extremely long wand. Other than that, it's a great find to use w/a really nice shine.

Almay One-Coat Lipshine in Petal (not Violet) is one of my favorite staples. This was my first real lipgloss and five years later I find myself still re-buying it. Petal works on pretty much everyone: it's a true-pink gloss that's not too dark and not too light. It's not at all sticky and has great shine factor. I tend to not go for light colors because I have full lips and too-frosted gloss makes my lips look quite scary, but this worked for me. I've always loved Petal beacause of the price and the gloss itself, but my breakthrough moment came when I had an orchestra concert and was bare-faced with nothing but an eyelash curler, concealer, and my Petal. I used it on my eyes, cheeks and lips and got COMPLIMENTS on how great I looked!!! I am (and will always be) a Petal Pusher!

OK this was a hand-me-down from my sister. It was the color Mocha, and this is one of the greatest lip glosses on Earth. The color eccentuates every aspect of my lips, without looking like you have a ton of gloss on. The staying power isnt THE BEST like those new ones out, but still nice.

I love these glosses!! The colors are gorgeous. There is no scent and you can't beat the price! Has a little stickness but nothing like a lipglass. This color is a beautiful shimmery light pink spun with gold. Nothing violet about it!
