this review is for the water babies spf 50 lotion. i have rarely used body ss because our summers are cool so it's comfortable wearing long-sleeved shirts and pants for under-the-sun activities. on a recent trip to southern u.s., i got burnt on the first day, so i bought this as an emergency. i really liked it. i didn't burn again, and this is a moisturizing formula with a very pleasant sweet scent. there is uva protection from avobenzone. however, i will not be repurchasing because there are oxybenzone and ALUMINUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE in the formula. please refer to this webpage for details: http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/product.php?prod_id=93210

I liked this stuff. I know it's for kids, but I use it on myself. I like the scent.

Great SPF protection, stays on, and I like using the spray version of it. I didn't find it greasy at all- it absorbed right into my skin.

This sunblock gave my daughter a horrible raised rash all over her face and chest. I will never use this again. I got the regular banana boat sunblock (not baby) and she did not get a rash at all and I used it a lot while we were in Hawaii.

I lowered my lippies, although I am not getting zits, it is giving my skin a bumpy texture. Boo!
I used to use and loved Wet and Wild face lotion, but the SPF was far too low. I am a non-tanning person, I will burn, peel, and go back snow-white. Since I am taking b.c pills, the susceptibility of turning red, and my sensitivity to the sun has gotten worse [photosensitivity].
The Wet and Wild is no longer an option for my face. I needed a SPF of 50, and this fit the bill! It doesn't sting, burn, and it protects my face from the sun. It does reek of regular suntan lotion [no coconut or anything tropical]. It's not too greasy on my face either, any shine my MMU takes that away. continued >>

It's greasy - noticeable shine on face - despite the aluminum starch it contains that supposedly has to mattify it. Doesn't sting as badly as other formulations with the same content of chemical sunscreens. Has some baby smell about it, probably good to use on the body. I am returning it because of the shine.

Piece of crap is really greasy. I'll just save it for the next time I go to the beach. It smells like all sunblocks do, great SPF amount though.

Coopertone for babies is one of the gentlest sunscreens I have ever used. I had SUCH problems with sunscreen on my face (even in ones made for sensitive skin)..... others hurt my face..... this didn't. I also noticed it did not (which EVERYTHING did) sting the skin around my eyes and I felt that when it did "leak" into my eyes it was one of the least stinging/irritating ones...... Would buy again. Still may be on the lookout for my "favorite" facial suncreen (lotion) but this is my favorite so far. I would recommend for sensitive skin/ eyes. After all it is formulated for a baby's sensitive skin and sensitive eyes. :)

A decent sunblock. I wouldn't use it on my face though. It has the standard sunblock smell and leaves you slightly sticky. I won't be repurchasing -- I think there are better sunblocks out there.

This felt so disgustingly greasy. I used it under makeup and both disappeared by noon. I don't understand why there is a hole in the top either. Worst $10 I ever spent.

This product is not too greasy and is oil free even though it is not advertised as such. takes a little while to absorb. best to buy it on sale. i used this when i was out in the sun for 4 hours and got no color.

I am really liking this sunscreen. I love that it uses clear zinc. I've been using it on my face and it's not overly greasy and hasn't broken me out. I purchased the water babies version, but they also have a regular and a kids version. I don't think that there is a huge difference in the formulations.
