I recently bought this for seeing that it does not contain any alcohol, but it does have aloe vera and witch hazel which I have been wanting to both try on my skin so I picked this up. I use it before bed and I can tell a difference in my skin's softness. Its a toner, but really does moisturize. I would recommend it

I purchased this toner at Ulta a week ago and am returning it. My face feels gummy/sticky after I use it. I have dry skin and like that it doesn't dry my skin out further, but after I use it, I always feel like I want to wash my face again. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. I use other MB products but this one I am not so wild about.

I'm on my second bottle of this. I really like it, not crazy about the smell, but it really does feel good on your skin. You can find it at Ultra and use a coupon since its about $15

I use this as a toner.
My skin is combo, acne prone. I used this toner after the enzyme cleansing gel and I didnt even need to use a moisturizer, it left me with super soft balanced skin! Makeup went on nicely too, it wasnt sticky. I dont think this would be enough to control my oily t-zone in the summer but for fall and winter when my skin is more on the dry side this will definitely be my staple :)
its also great for balancing out the skin that has been stripped dry from acne meds (which I use as well).
FYI: Ive also tried the alpha-grapefruit lotion/toner and this one is more moisturizing.

They call it a cleansing lotion, but I use it as a toner after washing my face each night. I have combination skin (slighly oily t zone with dry cheeks) and am on my second full-sized bottle of this toner. It's not drying and leaves my skin feeling fresh, not tight. I use Mario's Orange Cream Soap, which doesnt remove all of my makeup, unfortunately (usually foundation, sunscreen, and blush), but after three cotton pads worth of this toner, my skin is spotless. Cheap price, nice clean simple packaging, and effective. I took off 1 lippie from a perfect 5 because it does take several (3-5) cotton pads to remove everything, however, I will take that over an alcohol-laced toner anyday which are too drying and harsh for my skin!

I absolutely LOVE this toner! I have oily skin, but if I use a lot of "drying" products or products especially for oily skin, my skin starts to dry out. BUT this toner is sooo gentle and yet effective, and it has witchhazel in it, which I love. It smells great, reminds me of the ocean, and I use it twice a day everyday! I have been using this toner as long as I have been using the enzyme cleansing gel. I love all MB products for minimal ingredients and just simplicity. Life is already so hectic. I love that this is alcohol free with witch hazel. This doesn't strip my skin of moisture either. I also use retin a gel at the moment and this does a great job still. Update 11/6/11 I am phasing this toner out of my skincare. I want to get rid of the seaweed and bladderwrack. I love the aloe toner but want the antioxidant and properties of the witch hazel so am trying Thayer's alcohol free unscented witch hazel since it has aloe too.

A mild toner which makes my skin 'tingle' for a short while and my face turns slightly reddish after application. Perhaps I am a little sensitive to this toner. It does keep the skin moisturized, though. Not a bad toner but does not quite suit my skin.

I do not know what every one is saying about the smell, or the film they say it leaves. This products sooths and hydrates as it cleans, leaving my skin in better condition than it has ever been. I really don't need to use moisturizer after using it, but i do anyway for good measure. I LOVE IT !!!!!

I've been using the seaweed cleansing lotion for about 3 months now and it's ok. It's like a toner without alcohol. Not sure if it's the weather, but I find it kind of sticky on my face, so always pat dry. I'm running out of this product now and gonna go back to the Aloe Vera cleansing lotion, which gives me a more smooth feeling without being too sticky or drying and makes my skin look more even. But overall, the price is not too expensive ($15) and does a nice job taking off that extra dirt or oil on my skin.

AMAZING TONER!! My skin breaks out with EVERYTHING but somehow most MB products DON'T, like this toner = ) This toner fells fresh, not aggressive at all, light yet very nourishing and lives my skin looking fresh and glowing.
UPDATE: After using this toner for about 1 month, I think I won't repurchase, it doesn't do anything for my skin, I think this toner could be awesome for dry/normal skin types, but I have oily(acne prone skin and I need something that DOES something to cleanse my skin and help me reduce oil and break outs, this toner IS LIKE PUTTING WATER IN MY FACE, DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

I have very oily skin and usually use proactiv skincare but I had to stop proactiv because of my winter chapped skin. I was looking for a toner to replace the proactiv toner which has witch hazel in it. This is a good alternative. This is a very soothing and refreshing. I love this that it didnt irritate my winter skin. MB products have very natural botancial ingredients perfect for sensitive skin. Definitely recommend this toner.

This toner leaves you feeling fresh but does not dry skin and smells great too. It is quite a tad expensive which is the only reason why I would not buy it.

This is the only toner I'll ever need for a long time. It's wonderful for sensitive, acne-prone skin. I love that it has no alcohol or harsh ingredients. It feels cool and refreshing to put on, and it tightens pores dramatically. My skin feels so soft and smooth after using it. I was surprised to see people complaining about the smell, I actually enjoy it. It smells fresh, clean, and natural. This toner is perfect. Another great product from Mario Badescu.

Love this, it has really helped with the blackhead on my nose. and its the only toner that hasnt irritated my sensitive skin!

Bought the entire seaweed line. The stench of this stuff is so gross it makes my stomach flip. It also leaves a nasty film on your face. This product was not for me. Even my sister and mother hated it. My poor dad hated the smell so much he asked us to stop using it.

Fantastic toner. I'm really not into toners, but Mario Badescu's toners actually serve a purpose. This toner actually calms down my sensitive skin, and takes off anything my cleanser didn't remove. Smells awesome. Price is great; you get a lot.

I received this toner in a sample kit from Mario Badescu. I can't tell how great of a job it does just yet but I am glad that it contains great ingredients that pose no health risks so I may purchase a full-size bottle. It hasn't irritated my skin in any way so that's an added plus!

I got a free sample of this cleansing lotion - and this is the only Mario Badescu product I tested. In fact, I never heard of this brand before. I'm very careful about what I put on my face, so I looked up the ingredients before deciding to give it a try. I was pleased to see all natural ingredients. I already have positive experience with seaweed (Aqua Marina by Lush and Seaweed mask by 100% Pure) and this seems to be another seaweed product that my combination/super sensitive skin approves of. The smell is alright- a bit medicinal, but not fishy like seaweed tends to be- and it evaporates quickly. What matters is that the toner does the job. It's soothing and feels fresh. There's no alcohol in it- and no other harsh chemicals so it's gentle. My everyday toner is cold chamomile tea which works great, but since this is more practical for traveling and has some good stuff in it- I might buy it.
