I purchased this eyeshadow as previous reviewers said it enhanced brown/hazel eyes. I got it from eBay, and categorically can tell you I would not pay full retail price for it.
Overall, I like it. The colour is pretty, a warm bronzey brown that can be applied all over the lid for a dramatic look or just in the crease and along the lashes as a more daytime look. I just really don't think it justifies the huge price tag. To be frank, it's just another brown eyeshadow to add to the plethora of brown eyeshadows I already own. Plus, I don't really like the packaging all that much.
If you are in the UK, Natural Collection (from Boots) do a fairly good dupe of this colour (Asteroid) but it's only £1.79!

I purchased this color based on reviews on this board but was disappointed when I received it from Sephora. I now give this color 4 stars because it is a much nicer color then appears in the pot. The color is difficult to describe, in the pot it looks like an eggplant color but on me it goes on mostly bronze-y reddish, very pigmented and dark but not saturated. I use this for a smudgy liner and it makes my hazel eyes look really green. This color also looks stunning lightly applied as an all over lid color for a very beautiful smokey eye. I goes on smoothly and blends beautifully. This color might not be for everyone...really very dark.

Gorgeous eye color. Looks great with my green eyes. It's not as copper to me but it does a bit of a warmer tone to it. Awesome crease accent. UD eyeshadows also go on so smooth with no excess or creasing. just perfect!!!

Love this shade! Others have described it well below. This is a very similar shade to MAC Twinks, but I would say that Twinks has a little more plum than red in comparison. Though I think Roach has a much smoother, more buttery texture than Twinks. Love to wear Roach with UD Toasted (or MAC Sable). I am a warm brown eyeshadow junkie and this fits the bill perfectly. If you love this shade also check out TF Dirt Bag which is also similar!

Holy moly I LOOOVE this color! Slightly reddish/coppery mid-toned brown. Nicely pigmented and blends beautifully. It's absolutely perfect as a neutral crease color on me. Roach + Toasted + Sin = AWESOME neutral eye.

This shadow is a dark reddish chocolate that I find looks absolutely gorgeous with hazel eyes. It is highly pigmented, has a lovely sheen (like most UD shadows) and works as a crease or lid color. I found that it has decent staying power and blends quite well. Highly recommend!

This turned out to be beautiful plummy brown (almost bronzed) color on me. So I was pleasantly surprised as I thought this might be too reddish for me. This is of course smooth and very pigmented, and is about a medium shade of brown so with my skin tone I can get away with using it all over my lid. No glitter, just a sheen. I definitely recommend picking this up or at least swatching this color because it is a unique addition to a collection of neutrals.

Roach is a warm reddish-brown. I like using UD's Half Baked all over my lid then applying this to the crease. It really makes my brown eyes look amazing! Not too crazy about the name, although I think it's meant in terms of marijuana, NOT the disgusting bug, at least that's what I hope! I would definitely repurchase this as it's a wonderful compliment to any neutral eye! LOVE IT!!

This eyeshadow is just beautiful! This was my second Urban Decay eyeshadow and I'm very impressed they are very pigmented and long lasting, and blend easily. Roach is a warm reddish brown that goes well with just about any color. I mainly use it in my crease to make my brown eyes pop. I received this in a swap and I'm glad I got it. The packaging it comes in is so adorable!

this caught my eye immediately in the shop. but i bought it originally to spice up a pale pink cream eyeshadow. i did this for a week or so, when one day i was in a rush so i just used this on its own, and boy am i glad i did! i never realised what an intriguing colour this was! it's best described as a burgandy brown with a hint of copper. a previous reviewer was right to recommend this with generous black eyeliner and black mascara when it comes to us brown-eyed ladies.
lovely pigmented silky and blendable shadow that brings out any eye colour and is not to be missed by any make-up lover.
also i don't understand the name either. it makes me feel uneasy. they should have called it 'cinnamon' or 'raisin' or something. it is quite unique though, especially when the brand has 'decay' in the name!

This eyeshadow is just divine! This was my first UD eyeshadow and I'm very impressed they are very pigmented and long lasting, and blend easily. Roach is a warm reddish brown that goes well with just about any color! I mainly use it in my crease to make my brown eyes pop. I received this in a swap and I'm glad I got to try it. The name Roach really doesn't fit the color but hey. Also the packaging they come in is so adorable!

Such a beautiful, everyday color. I love the pigmentation and there's no blatant glitter fall out. I'm really beginning to love UD much better than MAC.

This is such an interesting color. A very vibrant, intense warm brown that sometimes pulls a lot of red for me. A great crease color, I'm very impressed. I only said that I wouldn't buy it again because I have it in 2 palettes and it will be awhile before I use it up! This color is very versatile. Urban Decay shadows are well-known for being intensely pigmented. This is one of Urban Decay's shimmer shadows, where it's a nice sheen/shimmer but not a ton of glitter like a lot of their shadows have. Truly lovely!

This is a lovely warm brown, highly pigmented and with a lovely intensity you don't often see with browns. I use this mainly as an outer corner, crease colour or as a liner - it's great applied wet. As with all the UD colurs, blendable and smooth with great lasting power.

TERRIBLE name but GORGEOUS color!
I bought this on a whim. It appealed to me because it wasn't a straight brown which is what i usually use for a neutral. I LOVE this thought. it is super versatile and I have used it as a crease color as well as all over the lid for a smokey eye effect. I even wear this to work -all over lid with some black liner and lots of black mascara. I go light on the lip with NARS Sandpiper (HG!) A little blush and I am super put together without it being "too much". For evening i'd mix it with MAC carbon and Im good to go Vampy. or with MAC Mulch if if I want a browns look.
Its nowhere near as glitetry as most UD shadows-more shimmery with a sheen. On my skin it gains more plmmy tones so I like to pair it with pinky plum blushes. For reference I am NC 44/45 -VERY warm golden undertones. People often ask "where i have been" because of my coloring, but the tan is allll natural :)

Roach is another UD shadow that I didn't think I would like much. I thought that if I compared it to MAC Club that I'd hate it. I was quite wrong. This beats the pants off of club. Roach is a perfect warm brown crease shade for me. One of my favorite browns.

This is a beautiful color that compliments my brown eyes nicely. It almost seems to have a reddish tone to it, which doesn't sound attractive but it definitely is when it is on. Not sure why they named it Roach, which sounds unpleasant, but who really cares anyway. It is very rich and has a lovely shimmer. And as with all UD eyeshadows, the quality is great.

This is a very nice shadow. I prefer the amount of shimmer and sheen that this has versus some of UD's more glittery/sparkle-y shades. I bought this after reading the review on this playing up hazel eyes-it does. I think it could be adapted to most eye colors actually. When paired with UD 24/7 e/p in bourbon, this gives a beautiful copper/bronze eye that can be gorgeous as is, or can be layered with greens, blues, or black for more dramatic looks. I like to concentrate this on the outer lid, crease, and over e/l on lower lash line with a lighter neutral on lid and as HL.
