This was my first purchase from MAC and I loved it ever since. NEVER SMUDGES. Awesome stuff. I apply this from 9 something in the morning and it stayed there until 11pm. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

This has been my dark brown eye pencil of choice for about ten years. This is my ideal warm dark brown color. I have looked high and low to find just the right shade of brown and this is it. Some dark brown eye pencils are more like black/brown. That's not the look I want. I also don't like cooler browns.
This eye pencil has good staying power. I always put a dark brown eye shadow over it to make sure it stays put. This is a good, solid eye pencil that gets the job done and gives me the exact color that I want. I also have the Cover Girl Liquiline eye pencil in Brown Blaze. It's another great dark warm brown color. I like to interchange these two and really can't tell the difference between them. You pay less than half the price for the CG Liquiline, but it's a smaller pencil and won't last as long.
This MAC Powerpoint eye pencil is my ideal color and gets the job done with solid staying power. I haven't found anything better.

I love this eye pencil. I've had it for years (i probably should get a new one...) and only recently started using it on a daily basis and realized how amazing it is. The color is a super gorgeous creamy dark chocolate that gives great definition to the eyes. It's a wonderful alternative for black which can sometimes look overpowering. It blends easily for a sophisticated smokey eye but stays in place all day. It lasts pretty well on the waterline too. My only gripe is the constant sharpening, and maybe I'm not using a very good sharpener but i find that I have trouble sharpening MAC pencil products in general.
The packaging is sleek and beautiful as is the product inside. A must have for me!
super creamy and it stays on the whole day without melting in the ridiculously hot summer weather we have here.
Super creamy and pigmented, this pencil is a must for every makeup kit! I rarely use black liner, I find brown to be much more subtle and flattering but can still be built it up for an intense look.
I wanted a nice, basic, comfortable brown pencil that I could apply and then forget about for the rest of the day, and for the most part this is it. However, I have to say I was disappointed in its propensity to melt. It can't stand up to summer heat, at least not in my city. Biking anywhere, even if it's just down the street, gives me Stubborn Brown colored bags under my eyes every time. It's odd, because I don't get this problem with the Forever Green Powerpoint, which I bought at the same time, but there you go. For that reason I won't be buying this again, but I really think that apart from my melting issues, it's ideal. The shade of brown is absolutely perfect: not too warm, not too cool, and pigmented enough to show up on anyone's skintone and last a long time. It goes on really smoothly, smudges beautifully, doesn't dry out with time... sigh.
Edit 9/23/12: Okay, so I figured out why this would melt on my face and Forever Green wouldn't. I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to bolder makeup, as in, I tend to just go with what looks lightest/most natural, and since SB is a lot darker than FG, I would sort of brush it on and then blend rather than actually press into my skin like I would with FG. Hence FG staying put and SB melting everywhere. Now that I'm applying SB properly, it's awesome and I have zero complaints, so I'm raising my review to five lippies.
This is a great all around eyeliner for day or for night. I wanted to try something other than black bc lately I have noticed that black eyeliner can look very harsh during the cold winter months where I live. Great purchase. Would love to try some similar colors when I am done with this pencil, although I'll prob get this again since I really enjoy the color.
MAC Cosmetics' Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Stubbron Brown was quite impressive at first- the color and texture was matte, smooth and held a greyish tint of brown. However, the reason why I chose to try out this eye pencil in the first place was for WP reasons. Although everything was ALMOST perfect, MAC Cosmetic's Powerpoint Eye Pencil was not waterproof enough to be used against water... The result of the eye pencil left a raccoon look equivalent to drugstore liners.
I love this eyeliner pencil!!
I have 5 of them LMAO
I have..
1) Engraved ( Matte Black)
2) Stubborn Brown ( Dark Brown)
3) Bordeauxline ( Dark plum )
4) Tarnish ( Dark forest green)
5) Prussian ( Dark blue)
Yep, I tried quite a lot of eyeliners including MUFE, Chanel, NARS, Benefit, Giorgio armani, etc.. they are good but this is cheap!
a cheaper alternative to this shall be the revlon colorstay one it's also good but I find this more creamy it lasts through out the day!
BUT
Don't use this on your waterline as this WILL NOT last.
But otherwise, highly recommend

I asked the MAC artist for their darkest brown liner for a smokey bronze look and she recommended Stuborn Brown. The color is pretty, but the color wasn't as dark on the eye as it looked when swatched on the hand. It also didn't go on smooth and tugged on my eyelid. I will be trying MAC Photogravure next as it is described as a soft black with brown.
