I've been using this MAC eye pencil and it definitely is waterproof.
I went to a waterpark yesterday and was looking for an eye pencil that would stay on for the whole day.
By the end of the day, it was still there! Just as i applied it in the morning.
I was very impressed and honestly didn't think it was going to last but it was worth a shot!
The color is not a rich black but it does come off black, i think it can be blacker.
Formula is very good, creamy and smooth.

Before UD came out with their 24/7 pencils, this was my go to black eyeliner. Rich, creamy, dark. Stayed put very well on my oily lids and even on my water line. New product lemmings took me over, and I'm stock piled with the 24/7 liners, but I would definately repurchase this.

This stuff is great and versatile! I bought this in the color: engraved.Iit will not budge or smudge! I will be using it for tight lining and for my lower water line, but This pencil goes on so smoothly you can use it to do a cat eye (and im makeup challenged so if i can do it u can too!). As for the cost... Ladies sometimes u get what u pay for and i have no problem dishing out the $$ for a product that works!

I've gone back and forth on this product for years. Always in search of the perfect liner color for my blue eyes. Well, guess what--this is it. I will never stray again. It's not solid black, it's a dark grey/black. When I use black liner pencils, they are too harsh. Not this.

The trick is in the application. First of all, it sets fast, so one eye at a time. I fineline my top lid from pupil to the outer corner. Then I quickly buff it with a Mac brush--my brush is so old the # is worn off, but it looks similar to the 219 pencil brush.

After the liner is suitably smoky, I brush my very outer lid a few times from the lashline up to the crease. Then a little touch on the outer edge of the lower lashes. That's all I do. Looks awesome. Minimalism is the name of the game after 40.

Lasts all day, into the evening.

I have monolid eyes and this eyeliner stays put. Its creamy so it glides on easy. It smudges a little on the bottom but not anywhere close to others I have tried.

I'm Asian w dark brown eyes. Meh...this looks dark grey/black on me and barely shows up on my waterline even after multiple swipes. It's ok, I guess, if I wanted a grey/black liner...but I usually wear a black/brown or intense black.

Firstly, I hate that I have to sharpen this pencil. It's such a pain especially while traveling. Now to the good parts; it's soooo easy to use and so long lasting especially for people like me with oily lids I don't have to use an eye primer! The colour (well, it's black so...) is just perfect for everyday use. Um, everything about this product is great except fot the sharpening because it's quite a soft pencil so sometimes when sharpening a sharpen off a little too much.

This is the first MAC eyeliner I ever owned, and was part of my everyday look in my late teens. It's a nice, black pencil eyeliner that is very easy to apply. It also smudges easily for a pretty smoked out look. The only problem with this is that is smears and smudges throughout the day. Although it's easy to use, by the end of the day I usually have black smudges in the corners and under my eyes. Nice, but not long-wearing.

This is one of the only eye liners that will show up on my water line, but it does smudge very easily. Also, it is impossible to sharpen toward the end.

Love how pigmented this liner is but the staying power sucks. Have to wipe smudges and reapply during the day.
