I got this as a sample and I'm glad I didn't buy it. I have acne/combo skin and this stuff dried out my face! It just soaked up all the moisture and left it parched. I'm never trying it again.

Holy crap! Terrible for my combo, but sensitive skin. Product burned and irritated going on and left my poor face red, raw, and inflamed post rise off. Try before you buy--esp if you are sensitive.

I am in total agreement with the reviewer below me - I too have been using this cleanser for at least 5 years and every time I stray I break out. This is the only cleanser that never makes me break out and also doesn't leave me with dry patches. Nothing but clean, soft skin.

I have been washing my face with this product for about five years and in between that time i have tried to find something that works just as great but at a cheaper price. I have no luck i always seem to go back to this product. A little goes a long way, lathers well and rinses of easily. Never leaves my face tacky or dry. It just leaves my face nice and clean. I just bought another tube after trying to find something cheaper with no luck.

AMAZING product. My face has never felt smoother. I've been using this followed by Origin's A Perfect World(not really supposed to be a moisturizer, but it does the trick), and my skin feels like velvet. I was getting bad breakouts from all the other cleansers and moisturizers I've tried this past year, and just a few days with this routine and my skin looks amazing. My only gripes are the price($30 for an average size tube), and the packaging. It's a squeeze tube with a twist off cap, and it would be easier to handle with either a flip top or a pump dispenser. But, this is such a good cleanser for my very sensitive skin, I'd repurchase in a heartbeat.
Edit: I did well by myself to drop the Origins Perfect World after this. Turns out that pretty much anything from Origins breaks me out. This wash can be a bit drying, so I'd recommend finding a good moisturizer to follow it with.

This doesn't do a good job of cleansing, whether I have makeup on or not. With makeup, I have to tug at my skin, and without makeup, there's a flim of residue on my skin. I like that it didn't leave my skin dried out and that there was just sufficient lather, but what good is a cleanser that doesn't fully clenase?

Awake is an underrated brand, but not all its products are great. This face wash is probably too gentle for combination skins and the ivy in it broke me out.But I would say it would probably be better suited for dry skinned gals.

I have been using this for a month and have had nothing change in my skin. It looks quite normal. I guess that's good, but if i am going to give up my nuetrogena, it has to do something more. This was just an OK product. Did a nice job of cleaning and didnt leave any film on my face. No breakouts from it either and no scent. its a nice product just nothing special IMO and i would not repurchase. Not a bad product, i just prefer alternate products.

I like it a lot for those hot, sweaty days when you just want your face to feel "degreased." However, I agree with everyone who says that it's definitely not a winter product.

Eh, not for me. Used a .5 oz GWP size for a full month, day and night, and came away yearning to go back to my Aura Science cleanser. Two stars for lathering well and rinsing clean, but this is just too drying on my dry patches and unspectacular on the oilies. Plus it made my eyes itchy and red when I used it to remove eyemakeup. But since this worked great on other people, I'll assume I'm just allergic.

This seems to be a really decent cleanser for my combo skin. It would probably be best for summer months but worked great in winter as well. Helped clear up the oilies without overdrying (did dry my face a very tiny bit but nothing major). Lathers nicely and leaves my face squaky clean. Pricey but I think worth it.

This is a great cleanser - makes your face squeeky clean and refreshed. It's a bit too drying for the winter months, but for summer, it's perfect.

I'm going back to this after trying a whole bunch of other things. I had forgotten how clear my skin was when I used this and how soft my face was. This is by far my favorite cleanser!

I found this to be just an average cleanser for my skin type, however I am oily and this is for combo skin. Nice lather but not cleansing enough for me. I can totally understand why ladies with combo skin would love it, but I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin.

I love this stuff! I have oily skin as opposed to combination and this leaves it literally SQUAEKY clean. Rinses off easily, sanitary tube packaging, gel form, I love it all. I received sample in NM GWP and I would buy this again for sure. No tight feeling after rinsing, just clean clean clean and no toner needed!

Great cleanser. Has cleared up my skin...making it glow and be generally blemish free. A tad bit $, but you just need a little bit, so the tube lasts a long time. Don't love the screw top, but will put up with it for this wonderful cleanser!!! Definitely worth the $$$ UPDATE: Love this for summer and will use it again next summer, but when the weather started to change, I got drier and drier. Have changed to creamier cleansers for the winter. UPDATE: Have since moved on to better and cheaper (BB Lathering).

I LOVE this. My skin has never looked better since I bought this and several other awake products.
It is not super cheap, but I personally find it worth the money!

This item is the only thing other than the skincare from H2O that I can use with my semi-sensitive/combination skin. It doesn't give you the peeling/itchy feeling like most cleansers do (for me). The packaging was great *except* for the Cap. I hated how it was a screw cap--It's much more convenient being a flop-top. Just putting it back on when your face is wet or removing it is a bit of a pain, especially if your counter is cluttered. Pricewise, it's decent. A little goes a long way for this cleanser, I guess. I'd definitely buy this product again as it works for me and it's hard to find stuff that does. However, it isn't going to be my staple, though because I still love my H2O!
