A most unusual eyeshadow that is not to be w/out once you've worked w/it or own it. First off if you own Carbon and Brun then you must have this as it's a color right inbetween. It's hard to find an ashen/cool greyed/brown with this shadows impact.Concentrated and pigmented it is as are most MAC matte shadow within these tones of color. Try to find this color elsewhere. Don't bother as it's no where except at the MAC counter. These are "go to ' neautrals.

Adore this shadow. FINALLY a brown that looks good on me!! I use this in my crease to give definition. Its a greyish brown color. Cool toned, which is why it works for me. Good pigmentation and texture. Overall, I just love it.

A fabulous colour for my dark eyebrows.
What I love about this shadow is that I can apply a very small amount to fill in the gaps in my brows to achieve a natural look.
I also use this to go over my black pencil eye liner to soften the line and sometimes I use it in my creases as well to frame other colours.

I have to say this may not look like the most exciting shade (a basic dark brown, pretty much matte shade) but for me this is the most used and re-purchased "must have" eyeshadow from MAC ..
I use this everyday for my eyebrow color (i have dark brunette hair and brown/black eyebrows) this shade could not be more perfect for my brows (i have seen that many other people use Concrete for this purpose also)
BUT THEN it is also a great crease color when i do a brown/gold smokey eye look and sometimes i like to wear this all over my lid and blend it out as a 'one color look' i have bright green almost yellow/green eyes and this looks great!..
I can not ever be without concrete and if MAC was to discontinue this i would be lost!! will continue to re-purchase ....forever! love it!

Hmmm. Sometimes it's hard to be 'fired up' about neutral-type colors, but for what it is, this does the job.
Let me detour to say I'm not 'understanding' all this 'brow filler' talk from my brunette-peers here, this shade well... there are definite GRAY tones in it... now i'm not sure if gray is a go-to color for brunettes, but I'd imagine this would be a bit... ashy? It's definitely has more gray than the pictures online show it as.
That being said, I'm finding it's NOT the most pigmented of MAC colors - either used dry or wet. I mean it shows, it doesn't disappear, but it's not very 'rich'. I suppose in a neutral you'd want it to be a little more muted... which I guess it serves its purpose there. I've tried it both dry and wet as a liner and as a crease. I would imagine you can call it office friendly yet dark 'enough' to carry to happy-hour cocktails after-work.
Yet it's hard to give any resounding thumbs-ups because It's just.... there. I guess that's the nature of the beast for a good neutral-yet-borderline-dark crease. I do get the impression I'll grab it more often than not because of its versatility (I can see it working with both cool tones and warmer tones) and forgivability (it's dark enough but not jersey-shore tranny-glam).
I guess if you're looking for a muted and versatile medium-dark grayish-brown, this would be right up your alley. :)

I wish I had purchased this ages ago when I read everyone stating that it's the perfect brow powder for brunettes. They were all absolutely right and I've wasted a lot of money in the interim. Most products pull too red on my skin and look unnatural or are too light/dark. This ashen brown is extremely natural looking and a pot will last ages. I'm very, very happy with this and will absolutely re-purchase.

Concrete is a fantastic basic dark brown color. I use it as outer v color. It's very versatile, you can combine it with a variety of colors. I like to pair it with for example All That Glitters. However after having read the reviews I plan to try it as eyeliner. Maybe even brow color, though it may be too dark for me since I'm a pale blonde.
I love the texture. It's very easy to apply, blends like a dream and it's very long-lasting (with primer underneath, I always use UDPP).Excellent quality, as always with MAC eye shadows. I will definitely continue buying this. continued >>

Thank you, people reviewing concrete, for suggesting this as an eyebrow shader. Otherwise, I would have never had found my all time favourite, HG brow colour! Previously, I had been using MAC brow crayons in either lingering or spiked. To be fair, I had been fairly happy with these. However I found they ran out way too easily! I was getting through a crayon every two months or so. This was becoming annoying! So I looked into wearing a brow powder, and stumbled across the reviews for concrete, and now I'm a happy bunny! I use a MAC 266 brush which is perfect for brows (I cannot stress this enough!) but I also wet the brush first with a squirt of fix + spray. The end result are sharp, neat but also natural looking eyebrows, the look I've been trying to perfect all these years with the brow crayons! I do also sometimes use this on my outer V when doing my eyes, but mainly I use it for my brows. For reference, I'm warm skinned, NC30/5 with dark brown hair and eyes. Concrete is the perfect neutral (not warm/ not cool) dark ashy brown colour IMO. I cannot recommend it enough, I can see it lasting a long long time, and is deffo HG for me. Love this! XXX

I agree with the reviewer below, this is the best eyebrow filler I've ever used. For ref I'm NC 42 with sparse black brows, the SA suggested Mysterious but it's too warm and shows some reddish undertones in pictures. I only like to use ashy colors on my brows and black is way too harsh. I've used this for my eyebrows for years and one pot lasts me about a year.

Ideal for so many things! I'm NC25, brown eyes, very dark brown hair, pitch black eyebrows. This works for me as a brow filler, an upper and lower lash liner, an outer V favorite, and a slightly more dramatic crease color to darken the look. It claims to be a satin but I'm sure it was born Matte and just given away to the Satin family by accident. It's a cool, ashy, dark brown; no warmth anywhere in there. Why use this instead of a black liner? Because it gives a softer, less intense look which is ideal for daytime wear/the office etc. Why use this as a brow filler? Because it's cool enough to look natural on people with my coloring (aka no coppery/blondish tones), yet not as harsh as a black which would appear unnatural and pen-like. Why use it as a crease/outer V color? Because it deepens/elongates the eye while giving the impression of a natural shadow rather than something entirely artificial. Will repurchase. Join me.

This is a great basic, dark brow shadow. I use this for the lower, and upper lashline instead of using a liner. Its a deep brown that won't turn purple during the day like others tend to do on me (*cough* Satin Taupe *cpugh*).
This shadow applies like a dream, and is easily blended for subtle looks.
Again, I have nothing negative to say about this product. Will repurchase.

I bought this initially to use as an outer-corner/liner color. Now I use it EVERY DAY for my eyebrows. I can't say I was surprised when I came on MUA and saw that so many other people have discovered the same thing! You don't need much to fill in your brows with this, I use a 266 brush and the results look very natural but nicely defined. Great for brunettes. I'm pretty pale (NW15ish) and this doesn't look over the top, I just use just enough to define without really coloring in my brows. I wish I'd bought this $11 pro pan a few years ago, I've wasted lots of money on brow kits!
This is now a staple in my travel quad. Liner, outer V, and brows, all with one color. Sold!

WONDERFUL eyeshadow for a smokey eye look. I like teaming it with Soba or Cork for a beautiful smokey eye. I know some ladies use it for a eyebrow powder and the effect is quite beautiful. (MAC NC42/43).

3.5 .... concrete is slightly darker than the darkest brow powder in anastasia powder duo. Its really pigmented but doesnt last long at all on my brows. i dont wanna give it a very low rating since it is a nice brow color but i like anastasia better ♥ continued >>

I dye my hair a lot and I use this color for my eyebrows when i go with dark brown hair. Also works great as a crease color and can be used in many other color combos for the eyes. Always great to find a shadow that you can use for multiple things!

I love this eyeshadow. I bought this to use this for my brows, i was using espresso before and it was way to light, i have black hair and this is perfect for the brows. Great crease color as well.
Def would repurchase.

Judging from all the other ladies' reviews it's pretty well known that concrete makes the PERFECT brow shader. i have black eyebrow hair and for a while used carbon (ugh i know) because I was under the impression that brow filler was supposed to match the HAIR, instead of being a few shades lighter! Well after carbon, i switched to espresso just because I had it handy which was head and shoulders about concrete but there was still something off. Then after searching some reviews I read the brun and concrete are the perfect colors for my eyebrows. They have an ashy tone to them which makes brows look so natural and don't have the "filled in" quality that espresso gave me.
I use brun when my hair is darker, and concrete when it is lighter.
Def HG status.
