This product works wonder on my acne prone skin, It is really affordable compare to other vitamin C serums. It improves the overall texture of the skin. My skin is so much brighter since I am using this product. It also helped with my acne scars and has reduced my blemishes. I use this at least twice a day. Each bottle lasts about 2 months for me but no complains! the price is affordable and the result well worth the money! This one of the few products I could see the improvement in my skin in first few days of using. highly recommended!

i have highly sensitive skin and eczema on my face i tried this and within one day my eczema was completely gone and it made my skin look amazing :O
The new formula is garbage. I actually returned it and complained to the company. Why they would reformulate to a worse formulation is beyond me but at any rate I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! It's nothing like the old formulation and the addition of bergamot is ridiculous..that can cause brown spots on your face! Ugh. No way I'll repurchase unless they go back to the original formula.

My first vitamin C serum, and probably the best d/s option but, ultimately, a disappointment because I saw no improvement in fine lines or skin texture/color.
Pros: hygienic, lockable pump. Not as expensive as other serums.
Cons: Housed in frosted clear glass, which exposes the product to light and accelerates breakdown of Vitamin C. Feels very sticky on the skin. % Vitamin C in the product is not listed.

I'm not impressed by this at all. It's more a light lotion than a serum.
It smells too much like orange candy to me and instead of being absorbed to the skin quickly, it sits on top of my skin not having much effect at all apart from the smell and an uncomfortable feeling.
A serum for me should give an extra boost of moisture and be absorbed quickly. This doesn't.

I really like this product. I used to put it on every night after I washed my face, but before a moisturizer (although when my skin was more oily, this was good enough for a moisturizer). It made my skin feel so smooth. I thought it smelt good-- like orange candy, almost, but if you don't like it, the scent goes away within a few minutes. It made my skin look a lot brighter. It broke me out the first few days, but within the week it was fine, so the break outs are the only thing keeping me from giving it five stars.
I had been using the Vitamin C facial cleansing gel and rejuvenating moisturizer. I felt like my problem areas needed a bit more, so I bought the serum to try. It's only been two days, and I don't think I'm going to keep using it. Too much squirts out and it's very runny. It absorbs -- or dries, rather -- quickly, but leaves my skin feeling tacky and a bit too tight/dry. After reading other reviews, I see now that this product is not what I thought it was. You have to be really careful with a company like Avalon. They claim to be organic and all natural, but a good deal of that is deceptive marketing. On a final note, I can't stand the smell of this stuff. It smells so cheap, if not like a batch gone bad. When I put this on my face, I shouldn't smell like an orange-flavored Tootsie Roll Pop.
Now that I see they changed the formuation and that's the reason for the past good reviews I'm returning it. Also it squirts out too much product. It smells okay but not great, at least it's not artificial fragrance.
I feel a tiny bit of tightening and stinging after putting it on.
Two days of using it and notice no difference in the dry patches of skin on my face.
I used this product for years! I loved the smell, loved the texture and love what it did to my skin. I would get compliment after compliment.
Last year I happened upon Trader Joe's Face Lotion which was very similar and quite nice (aside from the smell, which dissipates). Oh and it's cheaper... like 20 bucks cheaper. But a few days ago I just bought a bottle of Vitamin C. Serum with the "new" formulation. Yuck. It smells horrible. Also the fell is, oh my I can't think of a better analogy and I'm sorry: mucus-like. I hate it. If anyone can let me know of a better Vitamin C serum at a similar price point, I'd be thrilled! If you aren't used to the quality product this used to be, then you may like it. Also it still squirts out too much.

I quite like the texture of this product, it's very smooth and when applied to skin it just sinks right in.
I haven't noticed any irritation on my skin at all. To everyone who has trouble with irritation, don't forget that the area around your eyes and mouth are really sensitive and therefore you should only use specific products for those areas. This probably wouldn't be recommended particularly as there is vitamin c in this product, which can be quite irritating to really sensitive areas.
In terms of performance, apart from helping with smoothing the skin, I haven't noticed much else. But the scent and the texture of this product just makes me feel refreshed, which is great for me.
Overall, it's quite a good product for it's price and I would definitely purchase again.
