I really like this prodcut and Im not really big on moisturizers. The lady at the counter suggested this for me when I told her I didnt really like the texture of my skin. I use this before I put my makeup on and it works really well. I have mostly oily skin but I have a few dry spots and it was causing my foundation to look a bit flaky/cakey in those areas. This really solved the problem it moisturized the dryer areas without making my skin any more oily. Another thing I REALLY liked is that it didnt break me out at all. Ive had the same bottle of it forever because I only use it every now and then. Has it really been discontinued? That makes me a bit sad as I would definitely re purchase this product.

I was told by Clinique that this product had been discontinued. I LOVE this product and probably bought at least 20 bottles of it in the years I used Clinique. I much prefer it to DDML. Someone please tell me this has been brought back. It felt like a glaze over my horrendously sensitive, flaky skin, and stopped any dryness and tautness right away, and never broke me out like DDML. If you can buy this these days (2008) please tell me where.

This is a nice light moisturizer for those with normal/combo skin who do not like that heavy moisturizer sitting on top of their skin. It rubs in well and leaves a nice non-greasy texture. I agree with the other reviewer that the glass square bottle with a round type lid is not the best what for this product to be applied, but for $22.50, its a great deal and it does NOT break you out!

I enjoy this product (not sure why people are saying gel-creme, this is definitely a thin, runny-fluid white lotion). It's soothing to my skin upon application and has some great water-binding ingredients and some antioxidants- definitely ahead of its time (this product was formulated at least eight years ago, if not longer). I also hate the packaging and contacted Clinique about it but was given some worthless reply that basically didn't say they were considering changing it to a pump. Ah well, it's still a nice product if you need a light amount of moisture. Normal to combination or slightly dry skin will do well. Oily skin would be better off with Moisture Surge Extra (if only they'd put it in a tube or pump, the jar packaging undoes any good the aloe and other beneficial ingredients have to offer).
UPDATE: It seems this product has been discontinued. I have since used Clinique's Moisture In Control, which seems to work better for my skin so no love lost I guess, except I wish the Moisture In Control was colourant-free like Skin Texture Lotion.

This is my back-up moisturizer. I find I am pulling it out more now that summer is starting... I like to use it when I feel that my regular mosturizer may be too heavy, but I still want SOMEthing... this is nice and light. I definately DESPISE the 3-step system, and I don't use it. I actually only like a few products from clinique: this one, the mild clarifying lotion, and the t-zone shine control ;)

My oily skin likes this moisturizer. It works best on my skin during the fall / winter months. I'm looking forward to using it again when the weather gets cooler. I wish it didn't come in a glass bottle.

This is a great moisturizer!! I have been test driving this for a few days and I am impressed with the way it controls oil. Usually by mid day, my face is slick with oil, especially in the T zone area. This controls it better than Clinac. It also moisturizes well. I don't like the pour out bottle though, its messy and hard to control. Otherwise its great product.

summer time I usually skip the moisturizer part altogether for my oily skin... but this one actually makes my skin feel good... and the funniest part is it's not actually advertised as an oil control agent... but somehow I don't get the disgusting oily face when I use it under my makeup!!! and the scent is offensive to most... but the medicinal smell actually appeals to my nose!!! lol..... it's light as water and sinks right into the face..... terrific lightweight moisturizer!!! :D

I have to stick up for this product- since using it my skin is clearer than ever! I don't have acne prone skin- I have combination skin with the odd break-out, dry cheeks and an oily T Zone. Maybe this isn't for those with really oily skin, but it works great for me. I put it on before a tinted moisturiser and it keeps my make-up in place and makes my face look smooth. With this on make-up seems to last all day- no need to re-apply before going out.
It does smell like a potion from a hardware store but never mind that.

I believe that here in Greece it comes under the name "Oil free moisture formula".
I bought this one as a lighter summer substitute to DDML. What a waste of 37 euros! This OIL FREE (i wish!) gel/creme makes my combo skin even oilier!!! Can u believe this? After 2-3 hours i shine like a lamp!
Its label says it is Non-acnegenic but now i have more red spots than ever!
I hate this one!

I was loving this lotion for a while. I was on my second bottle of it(two months into using it) and my skin started to get very dry and flaky. I don't have dry skin at all....I have sensitive/combo/acne prone skin. I stopped using this and switched to Neutrogena's Moisture for sensitive skin and now my skin is back to normal.

This totally broke me out (isn't it not supposed to?) and yes I tried and tried to give it months of use with the 3 step like I was told till all the gunk was gone etc. Ok how long do you have to walk around with bad skin. So needless to say I gave up.

I thought this was one of the worst moisturizers I've tried for my combo/senstive/acne-prone skin. It gave me zero moisture and caused my skin to get dry and flakey. Ick! Plus and most importantly, it caused me to breakout badly. Moisture Surge Extra is sooo much better for me. It keeps the moisure balance in my skin, calms the occasional flakiness and never causes breakouts or irritation.

I love this! It doesn't break me out and provides just the right amount of moisture for my combination skin. I wish it came with a pump, but that is my only complaint. Its cream/gel formula makes a great makeup base!
