After trying about 2 dozen mascaras from very high end to dirt cheap drugstore brands 2 summers ago, I have finally found THE ONE!
First let me tell you, I'm an awful mascara perfectionist, I look for very long, very separated, clump free lashes that are perfectly defined, I have shortish soft and thin lashes naturally and the most sensitive, watery and redness prone eyes. I get watery eyes almost everyday, may it be pollens, perfume, makeup or simply the wind blowing. So I bought this mascara in waterproof, first like I usually do, (but read on for washable) All mascaras non waterproof, and even some that are waterproof end up on my dark circles after an hour or two making them darker. But I fell in love with this one, very waterproof, completely and utterly beautiful lashes, and people always think I'm wearing falsies because my lashes suddenly look so long and separated. I always curl before applying, then apply 2-3 coats and this stays curled and never flakey all day everyday.
The downside for me is this isn't available where I live in Germany but thank gods for eBay I order it from US or the Netherlands. And one time I accidentally ordered the non-waterproof smudge free version, this is almost as good, and it is the first washable mascara I can use without looking like Alice Cooper within 2 hours, believe me I've tried over 50 mascaras in my 20 years of making up. So to all the girls out there who are still looking for their HG, I sincerely recommend this, give it a try, because it is inexpensive and you have nothing to lose when buying this, but everything to gain because it is absolutely divine, and I think you will agree :)

I have been using this for a few years now. Mascara is my one make up product I cannot live without. If I have no time at all to put on my makeup, I can put on mascara and it wakes my whole face up. My eyelashes are already long and curved but tipped in blonde so they tend to disappear on my face. Mascara is an instant make over for me. That being said, I've tried them all, from the cheap to the uber expensive. I believe you get what you pay for with many things, but mascara isn't one of them. This stuff works just as good if not better than most of the expensive brands I've tried. It goes on thick without having to apply multiple layers, it doesn't clump, it doesn't flake off into my eyes during the day, and it doesn't seem to dry my lashes out and make them break or fall out. I get compliments on my eyes when I wear this. Mascara is one of those things that really seems to depend on the person and their lash type, but this is so cheap it is worth a try.

I have been suckered into buying almost every type of mascara, and I constantly find myself coming back to this one. I absolutely love this. I usually buy the one with the curved brush in black and it works WONDERS. At my local Walmart it is only $4 which is a steal. It adds crazy length and volume to my eyelashes. If I do a couple coats using this mascara it looks like I have falsies on. Tons of people comment me on my lashes when I use this mascara. The packaging isn't fancy, but I don't really care how it looks. It could have the prettiest packaging, but if it doesn't work then it isn't worth it. This mascara is absolutely incredible. I love this stuff and for the price it is definitely an amazing deal. I constantly repurchase this stuff and will continue to repurchase it until they stop making/selling it.
I have tried numerous mascaras in my life --both high end and low end--and this is as good as any and better than most. My honest opinion is that mascara is one cosmetic in which a solid drugstore product can truly compete with the higher-end products. You can pay $5 or $30 and your lashes will look essentially the same. That's $25 that could have been better spent. I am sure some would argue this but this has been my experience.
Anyway, back to the mascara...
It does not clump, applies evenly and can be layered. Somehow my lashes are still soft after use (instead of hard and sticky). It makes them nice and black, fuller, more separated and longer. It does not irritate my eyes. It does not goop up and end up in my eyeball. The wand is the perfect size.
I am going to try Maybelline Rocket Volume next but if I don't like it, I will be going back to this one.

I have been on the hunt for a good drug store mascara, and I think I've found it in Cover Girl's Professional mascara. In the last week I've tried Cover Girl Clump Crusher, Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes, and Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping mascaras--and Cover Girl's Professional is the BEST PERFORMING so far!
This product plumps lashes without clumps while providing length as well! So far I have had no issues with smudging, and only a little bit of flaking, but that is ok with me.
Definitely recommend trying this product out!!
If you have long lashes that need a little emphasizing and if you are definately for the natural look with no spider-leg effect and nothing bombastic or superficial, then this might be your mascara.
I have it with a curved brush in colour brown and it works awesomely for me. It does not clump or flake, yet it is easy to remove (I use BIODERMA micelle solution for the task).
All in all - I recommend and will repurchase for sure.
I found this to be a surprisingly good "cheap" mascara: goes on nicely with no clumping, leaves lashes soft and not brittle, and the brush size is good if you, like me, dislike the hugely oversized brushes that are so popular now. This mascara doesn't give me huge, dramatic lashes, but it's perfect for everyday wear and comes off easily. This and Almay's mascara are my fave drugstore choices.
Just over a year ago there was not a single drugstore brand in my collection. When I was introduced to makeup it was with MAC first, and I just held onto the idea that you only get what you pay for, for a long time. I wouldn't be caught dead with anything you could get at a Walgreens. Of course I still believe that you get what you pay for, but I know now that there are many exceptions to that rule.
Anyway, while on vacation last year, I had somehow forgotten to pack mascara and needed something, fast. This was before I really knew about MUA, and a little bit of googling didn't do me much good in the hurry I was in, so I just picked this one based on packaging and price. And now, it's my most reached for mascara! I've got well over $150 worth of mascara in my drawers, and this is the one I usually grab.
I won't say that it works miracles, it doesn't make my lashes super glamorously thick or long, it doesn't curl them, nothing like that. It's just simple and easy. It doesn't clump, doesn't give me spider legs, brushes out smoothly without flaking or crumbling, and applies really nicely and easily in the first swipe. It's probably my most 'natural' looking mascara, it really just looks like I have slightly longer, darker lashes than usual. It's my go-to everyday mascara. And since then I've given drugstore a chance more often :)

This product has been on the market for YEARS. My mom told me it was the "lash blast" of her generation. If it's been on the market for that long, I knew it had to be something worth trying. Its just a basic mascara. The finish is matte, which can make your lashes look fake. However, no flaking and no smudging occurred. This is a huge thing, because the new mascaras on the market ALWAYS flake and smudge. Not a good combination for someone who has oily skin. Mascara gives me length and volume.
This is a review for the CG Professional CURVED BRUSH "All-in-one" washable mascara in the color black. First, this shade is much closer to a dark brown than a black. The slightest bit of moisture will cause running, but the upside to that is of course easy removal. The mascara is too thick to define lashes, even when combed through (I use the tweezerman folding lash comb with the metal spikes, its the best comb on the market) and the lashes still look like a mono-lash. As we make-up lovers know you have to curl lashes before applying or you are just asking for trouble, but when you follow those steps the (mono-lash)es dry so stiff that curl gets pulled out. Perhaps then this mascara is lengthening? Nope. That's just fiberous residue hanging off the tips. Looks like brown lint in the lashes. Hot!
Conclusion- use it is as a brow tint! the color is light enough for brunettes to use on their brows, and since it dries so hard it hold everything in place.
