These are terrific: moisturizing, heavily perfumed, nicely packaged and cheap (but not cheap-smelling). I think this is the ideal way of using DB scents, as all oils have the tendency to irritate my skin and also many turn very plasticky with drydown. The service at DB is top-notch and their sampler sets are a great value (you get miniature perfume bottles, not the standard vials). I'll buy these shea butters again and again.

I am positively head over heels for these shea butters. They're creamy, super moisturizing, wonderfully fragrant, and come in the best little soapstone pots. I use some of the shea as a hair conditioning treatment and it leaves my pillow and hair smelling gorgeous. (Adds a nice shine to my hair, too!) As a hand moisturizer the shea just can't be beat. It leaves my hands soft and strongly scented, but not greasy at all. I can read books and handle paper right after applying the product without leaving greasy marks all over everything. I have pots of shea in Vanilla, Golden Oak, Amaretto (my SO's favorite), and Amaretto Truffle. I'll definitely be expanding my collection of these. :)

Receiving a package from DFB, is truly an experience! The package was wrapped in pink tissue paper, imprinted with burgundy, watercolored cabbage roses, with real leaves attached, & tiny, meticulously cut out, paper dragonflies. Also, there were swirls of pink ribbon adorning the box. There are several packaging options to choose from. I chose feminine. The products inside this lovely packaging, are equally impressive! The shea comes in the most unique, adorable soapstone pots. The shea is cold expelled pressed and carbon treated to remove the impurities. Just a bit of this, warmed between my fingers, is ultra moisturizing & highly fragrant. I have these in vanilla & mocha. The vanilla is creamy & delicious. No floral notes. The Mocha is rich & smooth, with a prominent coffee note, & a sprinkle of dry cocoa on top. Excellent products, quality & affordable. continued >>

I ordered my first few items from DFB and enjoyed the experience tremendously. Getting a DFB package is a multi-sensory experience - my package arrived in my little mailbox in Maine all funky and smelling like an herb shop...an antique store...deep and wild woods, musky and sensual. The postman, being about 75 years old and having been doing this same route for 50 years, must have felt his blood pressure rise a little. :) Truly, a wonderful box to come home to...and this is just the outside!!!
The shea butter came in a precious soapstone pot. How perfect. Scented in Golden Oak, very rich tones of carmel and maple and piles of tree-fallen leaves, I was wild not only about scent but texture. Smooth, thick and decadent. Truly, a little goes a very long way. From my understanding, one can buy larger refill sizes to preserve the initial soapstone pot...just a unique idea for a gift to another or oneself.

I love these shea butters (especially in my favorite DFB scents like sappo, jade and goldern oak). They are creamy, not gritty like some shea's. While you can order them in regular plastic screw top jars, they also come in beautifully carved soap stone jars. This is a wonderful layering product or can even be used alone as a solid perfume.
