The smell is not the best. But I like the way it mosturizes my skin.
My skin is super dry, and it does a good job.

Not too crazy about the way this lotion smells...I won't lie. But, it does hydrate my skin well. I got this as part of a birthday present, so I won't complain too much. But, I definitely wouldn't have bought this on my own. This is one of my least favorite smells from Victoria's Secret. I don't really like woody, musky scent but like fruity and floral.This is one of the best out of the new VS fantasies line. I got the lotion when it still was 'secret garden'(which I prefer, including the packaging, I guess it'll grow on me though). I don't have much to say about its moistuizing quality but the scent is awesome! Pears don't smell like this where I come from, but it reminds me of 'cucumber and melon' scent with a tiny hint of sugar and fizzyness. It's fresh with just enough sweetness to it. This lotion is REALLY watery. (The bottle version)
I'm pretty sure lotions are supposed to be more creamy than milky if you know what I mean. It just kinda sloshed around.
AND it stings! Holy crap, I don't think it's supposed to do that, but it stings after a while!
I like the smell, but it's too strong for me.

I can't understand the negative review about the scent. In fact I like the scent alot as it is not too over-powering unlike some of the other VS fragrances. Feels nice on the skin and doesn't feel greasy. I have the body mist too which I use after shower.

This lotion is one of my least liked VS products. I cannot stand the smell- its just so annoying. I gave it away after one use.

This was the very first scent I ever purchased from VS. It was all the craze when I was in college. The scent is sweet and refreshing without being too overwhelming. It's okay as a moisturizer. I have found that it goes well with my Be Delicious perfume by Donna Karan. I don't have the Be Delicious lotion so this is a nice substitute. The shower gel is also great.

..Pear ? Do people seriously want to smell like a Pear ?? Another one I got in a gift set. I wouldn't say this is as bad as Amber Romance. It's not too annoying. It wouldn't make me think Old Lady but it's like "ew" just a bit.

Pear Glace is my absolute favourite scent in the Victoria's Secret body care line. I was so glad when La Senza stores in Canada started selling the Victoria's Secret line of body products in their stores last year. Apparently VS bought the La Senza lingerie franchise several years ago. I had always hoped VS would eventually open up some stores in Canada, but I can only hope and guess the company plans to sell some of their top selling products in La Senza stores. My other favourite VS scented body lotions include Love Spell and Romantic Wish. I always enjoy fruity scents and Pear Glace smells fruity with hints of pears and apples if that make sense. I do prefer The Body Shops body butters but I can't resist some of the nice scented body lotions from Victoria's Secret!

The scent is clean and fresh, yet sweet (after a few hours it becomes sweeter).
Other brands have similar scents, but no one is as good as this one.
And it makes the skin really smooth.

I received this as a birthday present last year. It makes my skin feel nice, I must say, and it smells very "pear-y." However, I don't like pears so I'd love this if it smelt differently :)

I have the Pear Glace shower gel, lotion, body spray, and EDT. I've found the wash, body spray, and lotion to be very clean and lightly sweet similar to a pear/apple scented shampoo(the EDT is sweeter and has a stronger fruit note). This lotion isn't *the* most moisturizing lotion, but it does ok if it's paired with the body wash. It's easy to wear and completely non-offensive. I've also found that I'm often mistaken for wearing DK Be Delicious when wearing the Pear Glace line, so it's a good lower priced, but longer lasting alternative. Would repurchase.

My mother wanted me to get some of this from the semi-annual sale and I decided to get some for myself as well. I just applied it, and I'm very happy with my purchase. It's strongly scented, with a fresh, sweet, fruity fragrance. It's not the most complex or sophisticated scent around, but it's a very 'happy' one, if that makes sense. EDIT: This is VERY strong and perfumey. I have to be in the mood to use it.

I love the VS Pear Glace line. The scent is fresh, clean, fruity, and slightly sweet. I have the body butter, shower gel, body cream, body lotion, eau de toilette, and body splash. I find the lotions and creams to have great texture, and the body lotion seems to be fairly hydrating - moreso than the body butter or even the cream. I layer it with my regular lotion after I shower for extra moisturization (my skin tends to be quite dry), and it lasts all day, with a great scent. If the scent is too strong, try "cutting" it half & half with a less expensive lotion like Suave, or something unscented. Good product line and I'll definitely repurchase. continued >>

Used to work at VS (don't anymore--this is not a plug) and while this was one of my favorite scents, the hand cream was somehow drying! I am pretty sure it's all the fragrance they use. I would find myself using it many times a day. But that's how all the VS/BBW (same company) hand creams are. If you are looking for actual moisture vs. only fragrance, use the regular body lotion right after you shower. That seems to keep the moisture all day. But you really can't beat the fresh scent for everyday wear. It's one of my weekend faves.

I guess I am the odd one out to not like this scent. Too cloying. Gave it away.

Fantastic fantastic fantastic scent. Its just a VS classic. I love it. I've loved it since I was 12.

From my experience, this is either a love it or hate it scent. My grandmother and I love it. This started my love affair with fruity scents, which carries onto my use of DKNY Be Delicious perfume.
I love going by VS and getting some of this on my hands for a nostalgic whiff.

Pear Glace lotion is wonderful...it layers nicely with Pear Glace body spray...
