Ouch. This product was not for me. This product is meant for people that have thicker skin and honestly at my age I don't need it. Glycolics unfortunately is make or break deal. After using it a few times my skin would get really irritated while I had this on. Basically I burned off my skin. So be careful if you have dry or sensitive skin. I stopped using this by week 6 and I got these deep painful cystic acne. Took months to get rid of and I finally went to a dermatologist.

Very expensive, but probably the most effective product in my arsenal. My skin got a little bumpy after the first two uses, but with repeated twice weekly applications my skin has never looked better. You must follow with a good moisturizer. They recommend you use this on a 6 week on, 6 week off cycle. I would also lay off the retin-a (or use it more sparingly) during the 6 weeks you are doing the glyco peel.

Natura Bisse makes some great products... and just because a product does not agree with someone's skin does not mean that it is not a good product.
Having said that.. I do like this product line as it is the only one on the market that I know of that provides a wide range of glycolics for the consumer. Most lines will not provide glycolic products above 25% to 30% for use on the face. 50% is pretty high and the onus falls on the sales associate selling the product to explain its use .. benefits and contraindications very well to the buyer. If someone purchasing this product has a pre existing condition such as excessive skin dryness, rosacea, eczema.. please consult an MD.. its obvious.
I'm an Esthetician and have taken a lot of cosmetic ingredients courses.. and no one thing for sure.. it does matter what the source is of a particular product is.. how it's manufactured.. how the active ingredient molecules are harnessed, etc... and so yes.. you will have to pay more for a product that has the same ingredients but is better quality.

Peeling products are not to be used haphazardly, and I learnt this the hard way. I read loads of positive reviews, and I was looking for a preferably non-scrub exfoliater, so I picked this up. I used the peel just once, and also began the whole Natura Bisse routine - Oxygen Cream, Oxygen Serum, Sensitive Toner. In less than a week, my skin totally reacted: I had little red bumps all over my face, they weren't tender to the touch or anything, but definitely raised bumps. I went to the dermatologist and he said it was eczema caused by a reaction to the glyco peel (removing my skin's protective layer, then slathering on way too many random products). I used to think my skin was pretty hardy, but seriously: always check with a dermatologist before using hardcore products!

I would highly recommend this product. I was introduced to it about two years ago and it was working well on my acne prone skin. I stopped using it because I have the habit of changing products but now I have come back to it. Shouldn't have stopped using this. Anyone who is trying to get rid of acne scars, blemishes and skin discoloration would certainly be pleased with the results.

I bought one bottle last year when it was first launched. I used to use 50%. This is way too strong for every week application. It made my skin dry in the long run but also left me dry patches on my cheeks ... more was my skin had more little pumps ... and also blackheads ...! So, I switched to Dr. Brandt and now everything back to normal. At this price, I expect the best possible results but it was a total disaster and very disappointing. If you have sensitive skin, you may prefer to stay away from this.

I went to Barney's and the woman gave me a peel. I loved the feeling of it when she put it on my face. When she took it off my skin felt so clean and soft. I came back a week later and purchased it. Yes, it is pricey but it is well worth it! My skin is oily and do get zits from time to time...my acne marks have really faded and it is from using this. My skin is more clear as well. I can really tell that this actually works! Finally something that I can depend on. I have purchased 2 other products from NB as well.

The best glycolic on the market. Works wonders on skin. I just wish it wasnt so darn expensive.

I received a sample of the 25% from Neiman Marcus and really liked it. I treated myself to the 50% strength when I turned 40 (gulp) which was last month and have been using this faithfully, twice a week since then and am so happy with the results. My face looks brighter and feels smoother, also some of the minor sun damage spots I have are beginning to fade.
I think this product is a great alternative to a more expensive doctor applied peel, although the result won't be a dramatic, but I am happy with the way it's worked for me so far.

Love it! Really improved my skin's clarity. Compared to many other at-home peels this is the best.

Great product. I received a sample of the 50% and decided to try it even though i'm rarely impressed anymore. After 1 try it was clear this was a great peel, i was excited at how bright and smooth my skin was afterwards, so i looked forward to trying it again. My 2nd time i could swear my marks had faded a tad but at that point i broke the pump mechanism on my sample. After a few weeks i ordered more samples from ebay (.6ml samples on ebay are usually about $20 for a 1/5 of the full size). At the time of this review this is my 4th time using it and it is very clear to me that this is an excellent excellent product and very effective peel. It does sting me when i first put it on, but i deal and eventually it goes away.

You are supposed to use the peel 2x a week for 6 weeks (then repeat 2-3x a year). If you are not prepared to wear a stable and high spf/ppd sunblock every day while going through these peels then don't do them. really. Sometimes i get lazy and wear a stable spf 15 (since i only have incidental exposure), but the day after each peel i make sure i wear a stable 55 and i make sure i stay out of the sun. When i enter my 4th week of peels i will be wearing the 55 more often.

After each peel I put on a tiny bit of La Mer's 'Concentrate' (another sample item). it's a heavy silicone, which is what drs use for burns so it's probably a good product to use post peel. NB Glycoline IS expensive, but honestly, if your skin needs the help it might be worth the $170 if you have it like that. great product, my skin is clear, glowing and bright after using it. I've noticed that my skin tends to look even better a day *after* the peel, it seems the fading of marks continues after day 1.

update: Today at work (after my 4th time using the peel, but only 2nd time doing them within the same week) someone asked was i wearing a new foundation, b/c my skin looked great. ;). (I will continue to update through week 6, the end of treatment)

week 3, (1/2 way through). boy, my skin is confused. it is looking better, but i keep breaking out from the healing salve i keep using. But my pores are not as large looking, but i'm struggling with more oil coming out, maybe it's b/c the pores are clearer to release more oil.

OH WOW. I have super-sensitive skin, melasma on my forehead, cheeks and over my upper lip, and the most annoying break-outs on my cheeks. A friend owns a cosmetic boutique and she suggested this peel. I've used it for 2 months according to instructions (and this is after a year of using 15% glycolic!) and my skin is absolutely, positively 100% better. My dark spots are almost completely gone, I'm not breaking out as much, and (maybe most important - haha) my boyfriend told me yesterday that my cheek was really, really soft!!!! I'm sold. Sometimes, you gotta pay for what's great!

I have found this product to be extremely effective at clearing and brightening my complexion. The two major problems I have with my facial skin are dryness and I always seemed to have a scattering of tiny blackheads which drive me crazy. This product has completely cleared my skin of blackheads, the first couple of times I used it I watched very closely and literally saw stuff being pushed out of my pores!. After this product I use the rose mosquita oil which has helped immensely with the dryness.
Not every time but occasionally on application it can feel a bit stingy/burny, but this stops after a few seconds, and I have never had an ongoing irritation at all.
I have also used this product in combination with their O2 complex, which I would have to say are an excellent duo when used in conjunction overnight, I awake with the smoothest clearest skin!
Its expensive undoubtedly, I have used the cellex c betaplex facial mask, which was very good, much cheaper.
But I would have to say, if you can afford it, this product is definitely one that works!

Amazing product and well worth the price especially for those who have discolorations that we need to lighten. Several years ago I noted that the underneath of my chin started looking spotty with brown discolorations caused by pimples. I am extremely pale (Armani 0) and so any discolorations are noticeable. I struggled for years but have truly lucked out in the past year ----- MD Forte helped some of my discolorations go from brown to light brown or pink but then the MD Forte started drying me out ----- found a few makeup items to mask the discolorations but my dream was to be able to go out with a bare face one day and get my chin back to its normal color ----- I was lucky to find Dermadoctor's Physical Chemistry, Skinceuticals 1% Retinol and Mama Lotion which have helped even more and just yesterday I purchased the Natura Bisse Glyco Peeling Plus in 50% concentrate and OMG just one usage was enough to lighten even more ----- today I was in shock looking at my chin ------ I skipped foundation and only lightly used my Benefit Playstick ( no more brown spots from the past, only light pink spots remain and they are hardly noticeable --- the Glyco Peel as well as the other above mentioned products helped my light pink discolorations go away and those still stubborn light brown spots that remained turned pink yesterday with help from the Glyco Peel ) ------- I am going to continue with the required 6 weeks recommended to use the Glyco Peel and keeping my fingers crossed that this product is the last treatment I need to finally rid my discolorations once and for all. The Glyco Peel is that strong in that my results were significant in one day ---- well worth the $170 ----- everyone try to atleast score a sample of this stuff ----- it took only one try for me to see improvements.
Update: 12/22 --- I have now used this product a total of 3 times and the improvements are significant. The spot on my cheek (which I have had for 2 years) is almost gone and in fact, you have to look closely to even find it ----- the discolorations on the underneath of my chin which have been plaguing me for years are either gone or very light ------ I still need to use something to conceal however in the past I would use foundation, concealer and a powder foundation (yes all three, but now I only barely use a touch of my Benefit Play Stick and and that is enough to cover the few spots remaining.
Not sure how this will work on fine lines, etc. and for those who are looking for an anti-aging product, but I can say that this has done wonders for discolorations and I give this product one of my highest recommendations for those who need help with discolorations.

I have been using the 25% and now the 50% pretty regularly for the past year. It helps keep my skin very clear and smooth. It stings a little which will happen with any glycolic peel. I tried a sample of the glyco extreme and I definitely think I will buy that next. It is thicker so it feels like it isn't just taking away from your skin but also adding moisture. This is an indulgent product but worth it if you don't have the time or money to go to get facials all the time. Moisturize a lot afterwards and wear sunblock if you go in the sun!

This stuff is awesome! I was given samples and was hesitant in using this because I have major acne breakouts, the cystic kind. Im 39 yrs old and am going through puberty all over again! Ive tried all kinds of prescription medications that failed to work so I was sure that a peel couldnt make any kind of difference. I was so wrong! I was told that I would see results after the first application and the SA was right! My face was brighter and more even toned. Ok, so Ive been using the product like I was instructed. 2xs a week for 6 weeks. Im only on my 4th week and can see major improvements. Acne scars are fading, even complexion and only a few breakouts compared to the ten I usually have at a time. And dont fret if you break out more during the 1st or 2nd week. This is NORMAL with peels. Its purging your skin, cleaning out the pores, containing excess sebum, dead skin cells etc.. Bringing all that junk to the surface.Give it a chance and you will see great improvement! It may tingle (not burn!)when applied but will go away in a minute. Its 50% glycolic acid which might scare you so if in doubt or have super sensitive skin try the 25% but it does not burn! Although it is expensive its much cheaper than going to the spa. Ask for samples they are very generous.I will post again after the 6 weeks is over. I will definitely purchase this product again if all goes well.

I just CAN’T believe how much this peeling works!! It has made such a difference on my skin in just 1 treatment; it’s simply amazing. I received a Natural Bissé Glyco Peeling 25% sample and tried it yesterday : my skin looks SO MUCH better, pores are visibly smaller, blemishes are almost all gone, skin is smooth and my face wasn’t red afterward. Even that big red blemish I had for over 6 months on my cheek IS GONE! This product has cleared my face almost instantly!! It stings a little bit during application but it’s so worth it; plus my sensitive skin can tolerate this product without any problems. Since the price is just waaaay to expensive for me right now (180$ CND) I just bought 40 samples from eBay for a reasonable price, and I already plan to purchase a full size bottle next. Great product, probably a keeper for years to come. **UPDATE november 2009 : Over 2 years after my initial review, I still use - and love - this product. I finally bought a full size, which is the 50% formula... I love it. My sensitive skin can handle the product without any problem, my blemishes are gone, my very pale skin looks 10x clearer because all the small red patches I used to have all over are gone. Plus, since I use the Clarisonic I don't need to do 2 peelings per week, I can go with 2-3 peelings per month and it's enough. This is the most expensive product I own but it's worth every penny... miracle in a jar.

I have yet to draw a conclusion about this product. WARNING: Do NOT leave it on longer than you are supposed to! I got distracted and left it on too long by mistake. I'd say about 20-25 min, and my skin is really jacked up. I looked like I had a sunburn for about 3 days, and now my skin has this wierd bumpy sand-paper texture. I was having some slight skin issues prior to using this, but this really intensified the problem. I had to go to the derm today and she gave me some prescriptions to help. I had used this product a few times before (and left it on for the reccomended 10 min) and I didnt have a problem. But I dont recall it doing anything magical for my skin. I'll try it a few more times once my skin is better.
