My favorite Stila lipstick! I have repurchased this time and time again. This rose colored lipstick is perfect for everyday and works well with my MAC NC40 skintone.

I received this in a swap from a very generous MUAer. :) It's a pretty color lipstick, but it's very very dry. When I apply with some chapstick, it looks great however. On my lips, it's a bit deeper than YLBB with a barely slight brick red sheen. It's interesting but if I lost it or whatever, I wouldn't rebuy it.

I like this color. I'm an NC30 brunette w/ brown eyes. This color is somewhat dramatic on me so I tend to wear it at night. Stila describes it as a rosy brown shimmer but it looks almost reddish on me. It might be my lip liner though. The one thing that I don't like about Stila's lipsticks are that they can be somewhat dry.

On me Luce is the perfect neutral. I don't find it too bronzey, too pink or too plum though it does have red and brown tones in it. This would be my perfect "groomed but not too made up" lipstick for work during autumn and winter. The texture is very matte though, and I find it drying. Not sure if it had to do with the mini lippy I was testing (I'm thinking perhaps it dried out in its little aluminium shell) but I get the impression that Stila lipsticks are a bit drying generally. When I put some balm underneath, of a bit of Paul & Joe clear gloss on top, it feels more comfortable. I may have to buy this yet, I like the colour so much! For reference, I'm GA LSF#5/LM Sunny Beige continued >>

This is one of the better lipsticks I've tried from Stila. It's a very wearable, slightly shimmery brick red--like a much tamer cousin to MAC's Fresh Moroccan, and a bit like "O" without the iridescence. The lasting quality is great as well. Most Stila lipsticks have disappointed me for one reason or another, but this is one that I'll repurchase.

This is a gorgeous bronzed plum, with brown undertones, on my lips. While I generally loathe brown-toned lipstick, this one is a winner. The colour is highly pigmented but quite sheer. The quality is excellent: long-lasting but light. I don't find it drying at all on my lips. I find most lipsticks to be greasy and find that they migrate onto anything my lips touch. This doesn't: it stays put. I rarely repurchase the same colour (so much choice, so little time) so wouldn't repurchase this particular one, however, the Stila quality will keep me returning to the counter.

I agree with the review before mine. Love the color but it's WAY too drying. Each time I think I'll give it one more chance, I put it on and just love the look. Then two minutes later I'm rubbing it off and applying four layers of lipbalm. Such a shame.

I found this to be a nice shade of lipstick. It's a bit darker than I thought it would be, but that can be fixed with a bit of gloss. Seems like it would suit a lot of skin tones, but I would only wear this in the evening. (I have a light to medium complexion) I found it quite drying, however and it's quite matte. I generally prefer sheer or shimmer formulations or if from MAC, I like their lustre formulas. continued >>

This is a gorgeous bronze red.The creamy formula isn't drying and it lasts very long. This is definitely a winner.

luce is a reddish-brown with the slightest bit of fine gold shimmer. i don't detect any plum tones in it that some of the other reviews mention. its a very pretty color, but one i can only seem to pull off when i have a tan or self tanner on, otherwise it tends to look too warm of a shade on me. its texture seems to be a lot drier than any of my other stila lipsticks but it applies easily and doesn't look dry at all when on. there's no taste or scent that i can detect. its extremely longlasting (i guess because of the drier consistency) and very well pigmented. because i don't wear it very often, this tube will probably last a long time but when i start running low enough to panic i'll repurchase this shade again.

on my pale olive skin, this light browny plum is definitely mlbb. i usually like more pink on my lips, but this complements my brown eyes and i have to say it's a hit. i use a guerlain lip crayon in sienna as a liner with it and it's perfect.

Luce is a lovely coppery lipstick with a brown undertone. While I love the color, the Stila packaging leaves much to be desired. The cardboard tubes look cheap and don't hold up well to the pressures of mingling with all the other lipsticks in the makeup bag. Pretty color for someone who's not terribly pale and who is looking for a nice pop of copper or bronze color for the lips.

Very pretty color, but I find it a bit too dark for my PPP skintone. I prefer to wear MLBB shades which don't emphasize how pale I am and the contrast between this shade and my skin is just too much :-(

Gave this a low rating only for the packaging, which is the usual Stila cardboard (like the why of it, but the easy to damage reality of it is no good). Love this color, don't know where people are getting it's plum or fushia, only that must be how it looks on their lip skin color. On my pinky brown lips, Luce is a reddish brown, more red than brown, with very slight gold shimmer. It makes me think of a "neutral" red, or "desert" red. I like to layer it over Too Face Bunny Balm for staying power, as this l/s is a bit harder than other Stila l/s, and top it with Stila lip glaze in Vanilla, but only on the center of my lips. I also like to top it with Stila gold lip shine, also only on the center of my lips. These combos are the most complimented lip color I get, and I do wear many different shades and combinations.

I recieved a sample of Luce as a gift from purchasing on-line. I really love the way the color looks on my lips. I was also given a sample of Natalie which I did not like as much because it was to pink on my lips.

While this isn't an HG for me like Natalie, it is a pretty color that I reach for on the days when I think my lips look too red for the way that I feel. Luce tones my lip color down into a mod pink, which I find rather interesting now and then. I would always choose Natalie over this one, but if I happened to have enough money when my Luce sample ran out and I already had a full container of Natalie, I'd most likely get this one again. :)

Luce did not work for me at all. I was expecting a plum color, but when I applied it, it looked like a bright, sheer fuschia tone - ick! The quality of the lipsticks is good - goes on smoothly, doesn't dry out my lips and doesn't cake up. The staying power is good as well. Overall, Stila lipsticks are definitely one to try!

This is definitely a versatile and pretty color. Medium brown with plummy undertones and a nice golden shimmer-- it looks nice at night or in the daytime. Consistency is a little dry, but it doesn't LOOK dry at all... Plus, this helps it to stay on longer. The packaging sucks, but the product will be a staple in my bag.

I used this color back when stila first came to Barneys New York. I also had a very dark tan (My BAD, I know!). I bought this because I was told by the SA that it was created to match or actually, was "inspired by" Chanel's NUDE lipliner (I used this occasionally at the time). It was an OK color back then, but I would never use it now (I'm normally a stila d/40 watt/MAC C30). I gave it to my mom -- along with my Chanel NUDE liner. I don't like stila's lippies very much because they are too soft and get messed up inside the tube easily. LUCE's consistency seems to be a little harder than the other colors, but I still wouldn't buy it again.
