I wish I could afford to buy this again, got this with the travel gift set for Christmas and it saved me soo many times. Works in cold and humid climates (trust me), removes dirt that other cleansers can't/don't, and does make my skin look a little fresher. Immediately after using, it 'is' oily however you have to wait a few minutes and it dries/evaporates and then you can apply your moisturizer. Problem is that I run through cleansers at a rate and simply cannot afford to buy this regularly! :'(

I bought this online thinking it was something else - but was pleasantly surprised.
I have never used non-foaming cleaners before, as I have an oily t-zone and tend to break out if I don't actually wash my face morning and night with water and a gentle (but foaming) cleanser. I tried this for a few nights and was amazed that I didn't get pimples right away.
After about 3 weeks of using it nightly I did start to break out, so maybe only use this when travelling or short on time??
I loved the fresh orange scent and how my skin felt clean and fresh, yet not too dry.

I'm so happy I got this as GWP because had I bought the full size I would have been very sorry. The reviews for this product are very positive, people mention the glow they get etc. But when I tried this (it took me 1,5 months to finish it) I also got a glow to my skin but this was because of the oily residue it left on my skin. I can assure you all that I've shaken the bottle before application so that the two phases mix and I've used an adequate amount. It cleansed my skin pretty good, I'd give it a 3,5 for that but otherwise it's not worth it.
I didn't like it. The glow is just oily residue and the smell! have I mentioned the articial smell that makes me feel faint? Peole say it's a nice orangey scent but to me it's just an artificial perfume which lingers for hours. The same goes for all Clarins products except for their rich body lotion which has a more fresh, ''natural',' subtle, citrus scent.

I have been using this for about 4 months now. I dont actually use it to remove my makeup. I wash my makeup off and then use this as a clenser and toner. I quite like find that it add moisture to my skin and leaves my skin ready in the morning for face cream and make up. No complaints here.

This was a sample. Used it once and super tingling and burning sensation on my face. Next morning several medium size bumps on my chin area. I believe I had an allergic reaction to the product, specifically the orange extract. To some this may be a good product but my skin type is just too sensitive. Fortunately the bumps are getting smaller and almost gone.

I love this product so much. I wish the bottle was 3 times bigger.I always check out Beautypedia, and this cleanser had a vey bad review. That said, I couldn't disagree more with what Paula said. I use this after washing my face with makeup-remover, and it cleanses anything left behind plus it tones my skin, moisturizes it and gives me a nice glow. Its soothing, never strips my skin of moisture and I can use it to remove my makeup quickly during the day if I want to redo my makeup. Im just totally in love with it. Its so hard for me to find products that work with my reactive-sensitive-acne prone skin, and this is one of them <3 Would recommended to ANYONE. I think this would work for any skin type, unless you are super mega oily, and even then I still think it would work well as a final step. continued >>

I really love this product. I use it to remove any makeup before cleansing and toning with The Cleansing Milk with Alpine Herbs and the toning lotion with Commomile. I think this would be perfectly fine to use alone though.
It contains oil so you need to shake it really well before applying it with a cotton bud. The oil is great for breaking down heavy makeup and my skin looks clean and glowy when I have finished. I like this because it seems to be able to clean without stripping your skin's natural oils.
BTW, it smells gorgeous.

Great product! Cleans very well, contains oil, so does not make skin dry. Skin glows after using it. In love with it and will buy again and again!

This is my staple makeup remover. Personally, I don't like to rely on just one product to both remove makeup and clean my face, so I always follow up with a cleanser, toner, and moisturiser (even if it's much later in the day). This product does a good job at taking makeup off, even most eye makeup. However, if I have heavy eye makeup I do use specific eye makeup removers. I like how this cleanser doesn't feel too oily and heavy on my face like many oil cleansers and makeup removers. This is an advantage because I can take my makeup off without feeling like I need to go through that whole toner+cleanser+moisturiser routine right away, although I still do so later before going to bed.

I tried this in the morning but its far from perfect.1.doesn't cleanse well. I always use toner with cotton pads after cleaning and there were impurities on the pads. That never happens with the clinique liquid soap I've been using till now. 2. Dries out the skin. 3.the scrub particles are very small and sparse doesn't feel like really working.
Overall I'm a big lover of clarins products but this product is a very average cleanser that doesn't even clean well. Wouldn't even think about using it at night as a makeup remover.

I love the fact that this is a One-Step cleanser since I'm a little bit lazy. Like other reviewers have mentioned before, you don't have a squeaky clean after using it, but it does the job. I only use two cotton pads to remove my makeup, but then again I'm not a heavy makeup kind of girl.
As with other Clarins products, I love its smell. Also, I should mention that I have combination skin and this did not break me out even though it contains oil.
As for a sample at the counter if you're unsure.

Nice product, I like the mix of water and oil and it is effective at make up removal although I wouldn't use it to take off eye make up. The fragrance is nice but strong and its irritating my skin, this is why I cannot use this again. More mature skins may get on with this better due to the oily film it leaves on my skin.

I love this new formula. With 2 cotton pads, it removes my full waterproof makeup and stubborn waterproof mascara without stinging. The orange extracts perk me up. My face feels moisturised and cleansed. Despite the half oil - water formula, it does not leave a cloudy film in my eyes. I would say, the "oil" component is so light that i would have thought that the formula is oil free.

This product is NOT the one to use if you want that "squeeky clean" feel on your face, That said, I found it very useful when I went on a trip to Bolivia and in the high altitude where I was, it was a perfect way to take off my makeup, cleanse my face and not leave it totally dried out. I would definitely buy again, and use in the winter when even my oily skin gets dry or for travel at as a quick "pick me up" refresher for my face. I applied it with DHC silky cotton pads, so I felt like I didn't waste much product and I used every last drop. Like most Clarins skincare, I fell in love with the scent! It makes a great companion to the One Step Exfoliating Cleanser, and the only reason I have not repurchased so far is the price. It's more an indulgence than a necessity for me right now.

Oh my...this smells divine. I use this cleanser in the morning. It has just the right amount of scrub to gently exfoliate my skin and of course leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. Just wonderful :)

I had to give this a middle of the road review... not sure what to make of it.
The smell is FANTASTIC, absolutely love it! BUT -
1. it does not take all my makeup off, not even after 8 hrs of wear, when in theory a lot of it would have worn off. (FYI I had Stila Pivotal Skin foundation and MAC blot powder on. My skin is fairly oily.) Thank goodness I was jumping into the shower anyway so could further cleanse.
2. It does leave a nice feeling afterwards, but I am not sure if it is also a not-totally-cleansed feeling.
3. I used it for the 2nd time today, and afterwards I felt a tingle on parts of my face, not sure if it is an allergic reaction. Will update if I do get a reaction.
So far I'll give it a so-so because I prefer proper cleansers...

This is my favorite product. I use it in the evening to remove makeup. U have to shake the bottle, put it over a cotton pad and dub it over your face gently. no need to rinse it off. I u see the cotton pad is realy dirty the repeat this process again till the pad is clean. usally 1-2 times is enough for me (depending if u have heavy makeup or not). when u finish u can turn the pad the other side and dab it over your face or if you feel oily take a tissue and absorbe gently the oiliness from the face. excelent prodcut

This cleanser was recommended to my by my local Clarins counter for my skin type (combination with an oily T-zone and slightly acne prone). I used it at night for the first time and the first thing I liked about it immediatley was the smell! Its a lovely, light orangey smell that makes you want to keep sniffing the bottle! However, that was probably the only major plus point I found with this cleanser... unfortunatley.
I wasn't wearing much make-up, yet I used about 7 cotton wool pads to get it all off! This despite the fact that I was told it was oil-based so would remove all my make-up very easily... Thought it did indeed get it all off (eventually), it was too much work for me. I suppose I'm more of a facewash-cleanser person, so for people like me, this is a major negative feature of this cleanser...
Afterwards, my skin did feel nice and soft to touch... it didn't strip my skin in any way and was gentle. However, I felt like I wasn't done or as if I had to do something else to "complete" my cleansing regime. I've never felt the need to tone, and with this cleanser I definitley did. Though my skin felt nice/soft, it didn't feel clean enough...
Advertised as a great cleanser "to travel with", I'm not sure I can agree with that as it was far too much work! When travelling, you need something quick and easy... and I need that regardless of whether I'm travelling or not! So unfortunatley the gorgeous smell is not enough for me to justify spending money on this cleanser again...
