Initially I was hesitant about trying this as I have really sensitive skin and toners tend to sting, strip my skin and just generally make things worse. Not this one though! Its smell is light and pleasant, it contains no alcohol and doesn't sting AT ALL.
Don't be fooled, though. Just because it's gentle and doesn't contain alcohol, it doesn't mean it's ineffective. This does remove dirt, you can see it on your cotton pad/ball.
This toner leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated, I don't feel dried out or tight around my cheeks.
Also, no residue is left.

This is a very mild toner so it wasn't enough to really clean and cut through the dirt/bacteria and oils.

I like this toner alot. I haven't tried many to compare, but it completes my expectations: it's non-drying and moisturizing, it's refreshing, works for my sensitive skin and it seems to remove eventual leftover makeup. The price is fair, the smell is clean and pleasant, it doesn't sting and the packaging is nice. Its always nice to use it in the night to make sure that all makeup is completely gone after washing my face. However, as with all toners, I can't stop thinking that this step in my skin care routine isn't really necesary. Whenever I quit toners my skin seems fine anyway, I've also heard experts saying that this is an unneccesary step. Also, using home remedies should be just as effective as those you buy. At the moment I use none. *Does it contain parabens? Not sure about it.

I like this toner. I have very dry skin that flakes, but can be easily irritated by harsh products.
Usually my skin feels taunt after washing, but this toner has a very soothing quality to it. I almost feel I could skip putting moisturizer on. I also like the color of it and how it looks on my bathroom sink.

This is the perfect toner for my sensitive/dry skin. It leaves my skin smooth without a strong scent. I also like the simplicity of the bottle.

Possibly one of the best toners I've ever used. And I've used plenty of them - from Dr. Hauschka to Clinique.
The ingredients are simple and I believe that a toner should have basic and a small ingredients list. After all, its main purpose is to just take off any excess dirt or make that was left on the skin.
The smell is delicate, fresh but nothing alcohol-y (well it doesn't contain alcohol...) but it leaves my skin clean without any weird residue, film, dryness or redness. In fact I think it helps with the redness that is left from my cleanser.
I don't know how to describe the feeling, but it's almost as if my skin is back to its normal (healthy) state. I highly recommend this to those who suffer from congested, clogged skin with a slightly oily T-Zone, but also have sensitivity left from past acne/blemishes or post acne marks...like me!
This is something I definitely don't ever want to be without!
The packaging however, makes me a but antsy, because as much as I would love to travel with this, I wouldn't want any spills either, so I don't take the risk. The tip like most of his products is kind of like those sippy cups that can fold back down...nvm...it's impossible to explain.
This contains Methylparaben, I have had no issues, but I know that some might (sensitivity/irritation)
Last thing, I noticed that this - on days that I choose not to cleanse my skin - it is still strong enough to take off any hanging dead skin from a healing pimple (sorry for the graphic image). I can still see the dirt on the cotton pad and sometimes a few tiny particles...that I have no idea where they came from.

Use in the morning, makes my skin feel soft and fresh. Also helps to soothe whether skin is irritated from the cold or heat.

I love this product. It is non-irritating and the ingredients are so simple. It isn't drying, and it just feels great to have on my skin. Works great for people with sensitive and dry skin, like myself. I have been fed up with using products with fragrances, so thank you Mario Badescu.

Alright, this is one of my favorite MB toners, as a guy with semi dry skin, this is great for me. I mainly use it as an aftershave, which it works wonders for soothing razor burn, and keeps the inflamation down better than any aftershave that I've ever tried! It also work great for removing light amounts of oil that acumulate throughout the day. I've bought this product four times now, and I believe that it is a very good value!

This winter, my skin has been really dry/raw and acne prone. I cant use harsh acne medications or it irriates my skin or whenever i'm using moisturizers (even the oil free ones) my skin is breaking out. The aloe vera toner helps remove impurities without drying out my skin or doesnt burn my sensitive areas. Its really mild. In the summer, I usually use the Avon pore-fection toner or the MB cucumber cleansing lotion.

i know some people swear by toners and others think they don't do anything. i happen to like them, that fresh feeling, but have trouble finding ones that don't irritate and dry out my skin. this is very gentle and only has like 3 ingredients! water, aloe vera gel and methylparaben. it makes my skin "feel" cleaner, but doesn't dry it out. the bottle is pretty big and lasts a while....i have to get it online, but not a big deal to me. i've used evian facial spray as a toner, but i have to say this feel more soothing and refreshing..

Extremely gentle toner. I have combo/oily more on the oily side skin. I got a Mario Badescu facial and they recommended this product to me b/c it was winter and I had some dry patches. I thought this wouldn't work and went out and got the Special-C toner. I didn't like that one much and when it was used up I had a full bottle of the Aloe Toner and started using it. The results were nice, my face felt refreshed but not taut and there's nothing in it to make me break out. I have even used it sucessfully in the summer. Since I use AHA's and do chem peels, I like this toner b/c its so gentle!

This is a terrific toner to use on red/sensitive skin to remove the last traces after your chosen cleansing method. I have seen great improvement in redness after having used this for only one week. Like it much better than the seaweed one..
I use this at night after cleansing milk and in morning on its own.
Fabulous! Maybe a bit pricey..

I have been using this with the Mario Badescu Makeup remover soap and buttermilk moisturizer and my skin has never been better -- I have dry skin that occasionally breaks out around my nose. My skin is no longer dry and I have no breakouts.

Hmm, didn't feel like this toner was doing anything for my skin. Felt like I was just swabbing some water onto my skin. Didn't really make it feel softer nor allow my moisturizer to do its job better. If you have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin like I do, try Jason's Beta-Gold Re-Hydrating Freshner. Its the first bottle of toner that I have been able to completely finish. Moisturizes, removes excess makeup, and preps my skin for my moisturizing routine.

Hmmm... this is aloe vera extract, water and methyparaben (preservative?)... and that's it. It does feel soothing, Doesn't really remove leftover makeup. It's not that I don't like it, I just can't get over paying $18 for aloe vera and water ;-)

I love this toner and would recommend it for all skin types due to the aloe vera content. It is alcohol free & the aloe makes it a great toner option to calm down any irritation or redness without drying out the skin. A wonderful addition to any skin care routine. continued >>
