LOVE. I have used skintimate since I first started to shave- this is better. It is so gentle and the smoothest shave ever. I have actually started shaving more because I love using this product!

Great shave gel. It's much thicker and richer then other shave gels...so I get no nicks or shave burns when using this. And like some other reviewers I can get away with shaving every second or third day. For some reason I get slower hair regrowth using this. My local drug store does not stock this product, so I have to drive 20 minutes out of town to buy. That tells you how much I love this shave gel. I've tried SKintastic in a pinch, but it does not compare in the least.

I love this shave gel & the only reason I decided to try this product out is b/c my boyfriend's sister uses it & I think she's a pretty awesome girl lol! But to start, I am a shave everyday kind of girl ...sadly. If I want smooth legs everyday ... then I Have to shave everyday or else my legs get spiky. While shopping, the one thing that attracted me to this over the Therapeutic shave gel was that it said it'll help you shave less often. This is 100% true! I bought this a few days ago tried it out immediately and I'm just now starting to feel prickly legs, three days later. I'm not sure how other people are, but that is Awesome for me! So just imagine if you are a shave every 3 days kind of girl what kind of results you cold get. On top of that ... it has a great, very light scent and gives a really close shave, better than any other shaving cream I've used. Great shaving gel/foam. The best one I have ever used in my entire life. It has a slight oatmeal scent to it, very soothing. The bootle is rust-proof which is great for people who want to keep the bottle in the shower. HOWEVER, my problem with this product is the packaging/the spray cap. It's a funky design, not a regular spray cap and when you use the product for the first time, it releases too much product. It shoots out! Also when you're running out of this, the spraying cap starts to work very very slowly. So you end up trashing the can while you know there is still some product in it. :( So even tho I love this, I'm not sure if I'm gonna be repurchasing this again...

This is a great shave gel. It provides a really smooth shave, and does not have an overwhelmingly strong scent. It does cost a little more than Skintimate, though. My biggest problem is with the packaging -- depressing the button discharges too much product, even when I try to press it as gently as possible.

I'm already on my second can. I've used skintimate before and even shave gels for men, lol. This one is the best thus far. It just feels so nice on my legs and my legs look very smooth afterwards.
I only shave once a week, seriously xD so the can lasts me for quite a while and I like that I can keep it in the shower without it getting nasty.

Great shave gel. The smell is very mild, which is good because I have sensitive skin and tend to get bumps from shaving. This product definitely reduced the amount of bumps from shaving and gives me a really close shave too.

This works so well on my sensitive skin. It really does work better than other shave gels. I love it and would highly recommend giving it a try. It leaves my legs feeling moisturized and smooth, and without any irritation.

I had such high hopes after hearing so many good things about this product. I'm often a soap-and-water shave girl, sometimes splurging on CVS gel, and I always go too long before changing my razor. And I've never in my life had any problems with ingrowns, bumps, or irritation.
This product destroyed my legs -- utterly. Did it work? Absolutely - in most places it's taken weeks for my hair to grow back--in patches. But where/when it has come in has been marred by awful, intensely itching bright red bumps (and in some cases blossoms of eczema.) It will be weeks until I can show my legs again, and that's the best case scenario (hoping to god PC AHA lotion takes away any scarring). I used this shave gel exactly once -- and that's all I will ever it use it.

How did I not discover this product until recently? It is amazing! I am definitely switching from Skintimate to Aveeno from now on. It leaves the skin "positively smooth" for days! No nicks, no bumps, just silky skin.

I have been using this product for years - I never get nicks when I use it, and my skin always looks and feels so fresh afterwards. It's a little pricier than lines like Gillette, but it doesn't have the harsh scent that comes with those lines, and for me who was super-sensitive skin, it's great to not get a rash 10 minutes after I finish shaving. Worth the cost for sure.

I do a LOT of shaving...pretty much any significant body hair below my neck gets shaved. So I decided that something that claims to decrease the amount I have to shave was worth a try.
I have been using this product less than a month...and I already notice a big difference in how quickly stubble reappears after shaving. It is AMAZING! I used to shave my arms every other day...and now I can go almost 4 days before I notice regrowth! There is also a huge difference in my bikini line. I still shave my legs everyday...but the stubble is much finer, and is easier to keep up with.
I will NEVER use any shave gel but this one again! I love it!

This is the BEST shaving gel I have ever used. I have no idea why it took me so long to try this. I am getting ready to go on my honeymoon and have been complaining to my friend about the terrible razor bumps I get on my bikini line and underarm area. She kept telling me to try the "Aveeno shaving gel" and I finally got some this past week at Target.
It is amazing - smoothest shave I have ever had on my legs, less irritation, and it smells fabulous. I can't speak to the shave minimizing claims of this product yet, but that would be a nice bonus!

This product is indeed back in stock at Target. I think it's a nice, basic foaming shave gel with a lovely almond scent. It doesn't reduce how often I shave. My one giant qualm with Aveeno's shave gels is the packaging. Four out of four times, the pump spews out WAY too much product, and I have a difficult time controlling how much comes out. Previously, I've also had nothing but air come out. I might repurchase if I need a shave gel and can't make it out to Whole Foods because I prefer their lineup of shave products, but overall this is a good basic product that always seems to come in faulty packaging for me.

This is the best shave gel I have ever used. I didn't use it often enough to notice any differences in my hair but the foam was super creamy and moisturizing. The scent was pleasant as well. It's a big expensive but worth it since it lasted me for years.
I would buy again in theory b/c this is an awesome shave gel, if I hadn't decided to use hair conditioner as my new shaving aid.
I wonder why companies keep discontinuing their shave minimizing products. I loved the Naturally Smooth lotion by Jergens but they discontinued that...

I'm going crazy looking for this product!!! I can't find it any where!!! Too the point where I even e-mailed Aveeno asking them about this product! I used it for a few years now, and I LOVE IT!!! I'm hoping they just took it off the shelves for a second and will put it back soon because i have no idea what other shaving gel will work as good as this one did!!!! ****UPDATE**** I e-mailed Aveeno about this product and they stated it will be back end of this year. They had issues with the product consistency, but it will be back for sure!!! Hurray!!! =)

Noooooooooooo! Please tell me that this has not been discontinued! Why is it that everytime I discover a "HG" product for me, it gets discontinued!!! This product (plus the minimizing lotion) is a miracle for my legs! I have really bad eczema, and really thick coarse hair, which is hard to shave over, but this stuff soothes my legs, and really minimizes the shaving (and I've only been using it for a week!!)...
Does anybody know if it's really out of production???

I, too, adore this product, but sadly was just informed via a J&J email that it's recently been discontinued! I'd suspected as much since I haven't been able to find it in a while. I almost wonder if it has more to do with the packaging than the product. The last couple cans I've used almost seemed like there was too much pressure initially, which made the gel dispense weirdly. I'm sad, I don't know what will replace this. continued >>
