To be honest, I just grabbed this out of how cheap it was (I found this for 99Cents at my local Walmart) and I needed a new soap because my skin was reacting. Since my pregnancy, I've developed the most horrible dry skin I've ever had, and it's become so irritated it's become unbareable. I didn't expect this soap to actually be so great. I use this for both my face and body. For facial use, it's great. I've tried using other natural facial and acne products, and this has actually helped clear up some of my acne without drying out my face, and still keeping it moisturized. For body use, I'm raving over this. I'm in love with the fact that this is fragrance free. It smells a little like dirt while lathering, but it doesn't leave any smell. Also it lathers really well and rinses off a lot easier than any soap I've used, and I've never seen any soap residue with this. I've noticed my skin isn't NEAR as dry as it used to be, it's never irritated, soothes my itchy skin, leaves my skin glowing a little bit more than usual, and actually, I've noticed a huge decrease in my keratosis pilaris on my arms and legs with this product (it's also reduced the redness and blotchiness in my skin from the dryness and irritated spots), which I really didn't expect. It's made my skin extremely soft as well which is awesome. I don't see myself using any more expensive "natural" or "moisturizing" body washes, because this takes care of it all for me, and for a dirt cheap price.

I've used this reliable little wonder for years and years; I usually alternate between this and a creamy cleanser, depending on how grimy my face feels. It doesn't remove my makeup (wouldn't use a bar cleanser for that anyway; I use a separate makeup remover and then wash my face with this or another cleanser afterwards). I don't know how moisturizing it actually is, but it doesn't dry or irritate my skin. On the contrary, my face feels calmed by this if it's irritated, and overall just feels smooth and clean. The bar seems to be made of mostly colloidal oatmeal, so I think the tiny soft particles even exfoliate a bit, which is as much manual rubbing exfoliation as my (sensitive) skin can take anyway. Regardless of the climate I'm in, this seems to work, which, along with the fact that it's a solid, makes it a great travel buddy. Widely available, effective, gentle and inexpensive, this has a permanent place next to my sink , and in my heart. :-)

Fantastic cleanser for my clog-prone face. I've tried everything under the sun, and this is the only thing that gets my face clean without breaking me out, or drying my skin to the point it starts flaking and hurts.
I'm realistic. I don't expect a cleanser to dance, answer my phone and serve me coffee, nor do I want it to moisturize (I've got creams for that) or remove my not-yet-existing wrinkles. I want it to get my skin clean without being harsh, and not clog it. This does the job. Will keep repurchasing.

I didn't like this for my face, it felt too drying and scratchy but I do like this for a body soap. This soap doesn't really add any moisture (especially if you're used to body washes that double as lotions) but it doesn't dry you out either and it's kind of grainy so it gives a little exfoliation. Mostly I like that it's mild and unscented, seems to help the dreaded body breakouts and it doesn't flare my eczema. Plus it's cheap and easy to find in most drugstores. My one complaint is that it doesn't seem to last very long compared to most bar soaps, maybe because it doesn't lather much so it seems like you end up using more product.

Many benefits to this cleanser.
One, it is cheap I got mine around 2.45ish$. Second of all it's natural a big PLUS in my book and to my sensitive acne skin. Third of all it's gentle and takes off my makeup fairly well.

What had interest me most we're acne victims raving on here about how this started clearing up there skin, yet I've seen no major OMG progress. My acne is still regular, still have pimples. Could possibly be because I don't use it alone? I wouldn't think it would be enough but it is apart of my skin routine after a long day.

One silly mistake I made, I thought since it was natural it wouldn't burn my eyes, so i started to rub some around my eye to take off my eyeliner and mascara .... And irritation on right eye! Not a burning sensation but my right eye was irritated and got red... It was normal the next morning however. Just don't use it near you eyes, if you're thinking like I was , b/c it was natural it was "safe". Lol

Overall wouldn't mind buying this again at all. Scent doesn't bother me, even though I agree that it sorta smells like dirt.

I "gave up" on acne products, and decided to just wash. I bought this b/c it had pretty good reviews. It doesn't seem to have broken me out yet, and is a pretty good balance of moisturizing/drying. I have VERY oily skin. Anyway, I'll edit if it does break me out.
I wouldn't recommend it for really dry skin...it would be too drying.

*Edit--Well, this soap was good for soothing the inflammatory type acne, but did end up clogging my skin and giving me little non-inflamed bumps. I used it for a month.

the product smells a bit like dirt, but i actually quite like it. it does leaves me a tiny bit tight, but it doesn't break me out and only scores a 1 @ the cosmetics database. it also has minor exfoliating properties which is nice. it's the only soap i use on my face.

I have nothing bad to say about this bar of soap! The smell is a "clean" smell...no gross overpowering perfume! The texture is almost a tiny bit grainy, and it gives a nice lather.

My skin was terrible after using a super harsh cleanser and it was back to normal within the second day of using this bar! My skin is so soft and the redness I had in my cheeks from the crappy cleanser cleared right up!

I also bought the 15spf moisturizing lotion and it works great too!

I do advise to wash TWICE with this bar, though. Once to remove makeup and the second to deep clean the dirt out of your pores.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!

I've been through many cleansers that have made my skin break out. From a Sephora Bare Minerals cleanser, to a Neutrogena cleanser.. I've had it all. My last cleanser was Olay which made my face irritated and a little bit itchy. I was looking for a perfect cleanser, and it looks like I find it! This bar is perfect for sensitive, and dried out skin. It made my skin so silky and soft and you can really feel the difference. The price of this bar is so cheap and you don't have to worry about no more money in your pocket after it. Aveeno is awesome and I'd recommend this product!
Thank you Aveeno!

Got really excited to try this because it sounded like it would be soothing for my SUPER sensitive, allergy/acne-prone skin...HOWEVER, after 1 TIME of trying this, my cheeks broke out in little tiny irritation bumps and the side of my face kept itching later on...I had even washed it off at that point! Guess I had missed a spot, but I CONSTANTLY thought a bug was crawling in my hair for awhile! So sad this didn't live up to its great reviews and ideally soothing results.
