Fantastic cleanser for my clog-prone face. I've tried everything under the sun, and this is the only thing that gets my face clean without breaking me out, or drying my skin to the point it starts flaking and hurts.
I'm realistic. I don't expect a cleanser to dance, answer my phone and serve me coffee, nor do I want it to moisturize (I've got creams for that) or remove my not-yet-existing wrinkles. I want it to get my skin clean without being harsh, and not clog it. This does the job. Will keep repurchasing.

I didn't like this for my face, it felt too drying and scratchy but I do like this for a body soap. This soap doesn't really add any moisture (especially if you're used to body washes that double as lotions) but it doesn't dry you out either and it's kind of grainy so it gives a little exfoliation. Mostly I like that it's mild and unscented, seems to help the dreaded body breakouts and it doesn't flare my eczema. Plus it's cheap and easy to find in most drugstores. My one complaint is that it doesn't seem to last very long compared to most bar soaps, maybe because it doesn't lather much so it seems like you end up using more product.

Many benefits to this cleanser.
One, it is cheap I got mine around 2.45ish$. Second of all it's natural a big PLUS in my book and to my sensitive acne skin. Third of all it's gentle and takes off my makeup fairly well.
What had interest me most we're acne victims raving on here about how this started clearing up there skin, yet I've seen no major OMG progress. My acne is still regular, still have pimples. Could possibly be because I don't use it alone? I wouldn't think it would be enough but it is apart of my skin routine after a long day.
One silly mistake I made, I thought since it was natural it wouldn't burn my eyes, so i started to rub some around my eye to take off my eyeliner and mascara .... And irritation on right eye! Not a burning sensation but my right eye was irritated and got red... It was normal the next morning however. Just don't use it near you eyes, if you're thinking like I was , b/c it was natural it was "safe". Lol
Overall wouldn't mind buying this again at all. Scent doesn't bother me, even though I agree that it sorta smells like dirt.

I "gave up" on acne products, and decided to just wash. I bought this b/c it had pretty good reviews. It doesn't seem to have broken me out yet, and is a pretty good balance of moisturizing/drying. I have VERY oily skin. Anyway, I'll edit if it does break me out.
I wouldn't recommend it for really dry skin...it would be too drying.
*Edit--Well, this soap was good for soothing the inflammatory type acne, but did end up clogging my skin and giving me little non-inflamed bumps. I used it for a month.

the product smells a bit like dirt, but i actually quite like it. it does leaves me a tiny bit tight, but it doesn't break me out and only scores a 1 @ the cosmetics database. it also has minor exfoliating properties which is nice. it's the only soap i use on my face.

I have nothing bad to say about this bar of soap! The smell is a "clean" smell...no gross overpowering perfume! The texture is almost a tiny bit grainy, and it gives a nice lather.
My skin was terrible after using a super harsh cleanser and it was back to normal within the second day of using this bar! My skin is so soft and the redness I had in my cheeks from the crappy cleanser cleared right up!
I also bought the 15spf moisturizing lotion and it works great too!
I do advise to wash TWICE with this bar, though. Once to remove makeup and the second to deep clean the dirt out of your pores.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!

I've been through many cleansers that have made my skin break out. From a Sephora Bare Minerals cleanser, to a Neutrogena cleanser.. I've had it all. My last cleanser was Olay which made my face irritated and a little bit itchy. I was looking for a perfect cleanser, and it looks like I find it! This bar is perfect for sensitive, and dried out skin. It made my skin so silky and soft and you can really feel the difference. The price of this bar is so cheap and you don't have to worry about no more money in your pocket after it. Aveeno is awesome and I'd recommend this product!
Thank you Aveeno!

Got really excited to try this because it sounded like it would be soothing for my SUPER sensitive, allergy/acne-prone skin...HOWEVER, after 1 TIME of trying this, my cheeks broke out in little tiny irritation bumps and the side of my face kept itching later on...I had even washed it off at that point! Guess I had missed a spot, but I CONSTANTLY thought a bug was crawling in my hair for awhile! So sad this didn't live up to its great reviews and ideally soothing results.

I have very sensitive skin. I was not sure about trying a soap.I was pleasantly surprised.I still have to use a moisturizer, but, for the price it is totally worth it.I would buy this soap again. P.S. If you have very dry sensitive skin try using organic coconut oil.Yes, it is the same thing you cook with,it is super cheap and you don't need to use much. Put a small amount in a container, than put the container under hot water to soften the coconut oil.I use the tip of my finger and put a dot on each cheek, chin and forehead. You don't need much of this AT ALL.My skin looks so much better using aveeno moisturizing bar and coconut oil.

I have very sensitive combo skin. Usually, I can get pimples on the T-zone, but this has kept them away!! If I have one arising, it usually tames it, so at least it doesn't get worse, which is fantastic! The only thing is, it is VERY drying for my dry cheeks, so I need to make sure to put on lotion.

This is the perfect cleanser I've accidentally came across in Walgreen! Actually, the walgreen beauty sales lady recommended this to me! Before this, I had really bad acne all over my face! And my pores were very very big and dull because I scrubbed them everyday! After using this, I saw that my pimples have slowly faded away and my pores have noticeably shrinked! Before, I have always thought that all the cleansers I've tried were too harsh! They all made my face extremely dry and I always felt like all the residue never left my face! But this bar is very very light yet clean my face really well, to a point where there is no trace of any foundation on my face! I just love it and recommend it! It is so cheap that you can give it a try anytime, if you don't like it, just use it for your body!

I buy this in hoards. By far my favorite cleanser. I have acne prone sensitive skin and have been prescribed Differin and this is what I use, nothing else. It is the only facewash that calms my face down. I love it, I hope it never goes out of stock because I would cry for days.

If you have sensitive skin, you know how hard it is to find something that works for you. My derm recommends cetaphil, but the price is climbing to almost $5 a bar. Aveeno is only $2.49. Mild lather, creamy, mild oatmeal smell. My skin feels clean and not dry at all after using.

This facial soap is great. Natural ingredients, soothing, creamy etc. It does not foam up really, you just get a soft creamy lather. It is a bar, so it will be slightly drying. I have normal/combo skin and this is a perfect cleanser for me. If you have dry skin I think you would have problems with this. It does remove light makeup and regular mascara. For $2.50 it is a great addition to my skincare arsenal, and it's great to take on trips or to the gym!

I generally like Aveeno products, but this stuff killed my super dry skin. I bought it to use on a trip so I wouldn't have to worry about my cream cleanser spilling in my luggage, but after two days of using it, my skin was flaking and irritated. Maybe it's just my skin being picky, but I wouldn't recommend for those with *extremely* dry, eczema prone skin. It's probably best for those with normal skin or combo skin.

I bought this bar yesterday when I ran out of my CeraVe hydrating cleanser. I have been having some skin issues (dry, flaky, rough, hot skin) and have been seeing a dermatologist to try to figure out what is wrong. I did not want to re-purchase an entire new bottle of CeraVe if she was just going to tell me to buy something else 3 weeks from now so I bought this bar because it was cheap and said it was for dry skin. The bar really does make your face feel squeaky clean and soft after use but I still think it is too drying for me. I used the cleasner 4 hours ago and my skin is still very tight and I also feel my skin is "burning" and feels more "hot" that when I just use the CeraVe. I think I will just stick to my CeraVe. This bar strips too much of my much needed natural oils.

I really think this is on the way to becoming my HG! :) I've been using for a few weeks now (I had used Dove Pink Bar previously), and I am seeing such an improvement! I trust the Aveeno brand, as I have used their products for years. Very calming, cleansing, no tightness. My cream colored skin with a pink flush is finally returning! :) With the low price and good-for-you ingredients, I say give it a try! :) Just lovely.

I stumbled upon this product and saw it was on sale for about 2 dollars. And because I have read the great reviews on it previously, I bought it. And I'm so glad I have because I found my ideal daily cleanser! This bar isn't overly moisturizing and the ingredients are friendly to my sensitive skin. I love how oat is the first ingredient (also the most) listed which will help reduce redness. In addition, the price is dirt cheap but in a good way. I have a feeling I won't be moving onto a different cleanser any time soon.

Ladies, this is one of my favorite products to use on a daily basis. The price is student friendly (around 3-4 dollars @ Walmart or Target), the ingredients in the product are simple and straightforward (the fewer amount of chemicals, the better) and most of all, it works beautifully.
I'm in my early twenties and I've suffered from acne since I was in elementary school! I've tried every product ever made that I can afford and really, none of them have helped as much as this bar. One of the main reasons your skin breaks out is because, when you use products that dry your skin out (ones that contain salicylic acid or BP) oftentimes they are too harsh on your skin. As a result, your skin will produce MORE oil and thus more acne.
This product cleans and moisturizes your skin and makes it feel soft and silky. It does not remove your makeup, so I suggest a product like Pond's cold cream to do the trick before you wash your face with this bar. If you have sensitive skin and are looking for a great product, try this one out!
