This is the worst mascara that I have ever purchased. It is goopy and clumpy and goes on very messy. I have had cheaper mascaras work better than this!

I kept getting little stringy fibres in my eyelashes from this mascara. It was also clumpy. The only way it was ok was if I ran a kleenex over the wand before application.
Never again :(

I usually have 3 or 4 mascaras at once, alternating depending on what I'm doing. I like this Voluminous Mascara enough.... I can throw it on in a pinch and get a decent effect for the day. Normal ritual though is too use the Rimmel Curling mascara and this layered over it. I would probably buy this again, as I haven't had any flaking/smudging issues

Hard to control and irritating to the eyes. The brush comes out fully loaded and it takes a while to get the excess off the brush and my eyelashes: definitely not good for a workday. Second problem, it blends easily with concealer and leans toward the Tammy Fae Baker look too easily. And my least favorite, irritates my eyes. That little bit that stays by the lash line after washing your face has irritated my eyes quite badly overnight.

May favorite mascara is Lancome Definicils, but since mascara needs to be replaced often I wanted to have a less expensive alternative. Tried many drugstore ones, and Voluminous ended up as one of the best for me, although I really liked Max Factor mascaras too, before they were gone from stores, and some Cover Girl ones. Voluminous I like because it gives me volume and length, even one coat is enough, while 2-3 give me false lash effect, dries pretty fast once applied, in spite of being a wet kind (the wand really needs to be wiped down before application), is not too heavy, so holds the curl well, and lashes remain relatively soft. Doesn't flake much, doesn't smudge on me, and is easy to remove. Would give it 5 if it wasn't so wet and wiping wand on a tissue wasn't necessary (with some mascaras it really isn't).

HORRIBLE mascara. The formula is so goopy and thick and extremely clumpy. Definatley will not repurchase!

I did not like this mascara at all. I gave it away to my friend a couple of days ago, but now I'm regretting it after reading all of these tips on making this mascara look better...

THIS MASCARA GAVE ME AN EYE INFECTION!!! A few years later, I still have scar tissue on my eyelid. I have made sure to rule out everything, and this is the only thing left that could have caused it. For the longest time people kept pointing it out, "What's that bump on your eye?...You have a bump right there!" It was so embarassing! Now I guess people are used to it, or perhaps because the bump has diminished somewhat, but fortunately I hear it less frequently. Not to mention doctors' bills, antibiotic bills, and the general major annoyance of a major infection that causes scarring! Bummer, because other L'Oreal products have worked great for me. I give this a 0 on everything but the price, for which I give a 2.

Oldie but goodie! A good staple that darkens, lengthens, and volumizes. New tubes can be super clumpy, and I like the product better when it's dried out a little. Also not super great with curls, but if I curl after applying, it stays much better. I didn't notice any flaking or crinkling after about 8 hours, and with my oily lids, it's pretty good.

I love this mascara! And I didn't think I would b/c I typically like wet lengthening mascaras that never clump.
I have this in carbon black, non-waterproof. It does not flake, smudge, or smear on me. It is really black, but I've seen blacker - this isn't a concern for me though. It also seems to hold a curl decently well, but that's not the strongest point in this mascara's favour.
It provides a bit of length and pretty decent thickening with very few clumps that are easily managed for me. I really like the effect.
I will repurchase!

One of my top mascaras! I tried a lot of different kinds and used to think that the more expensive the better but that's def not true. I would use Christian Dior show mascara all the time and honestly, after I discovered this I was soo happy to switch. Not only is this inexpensive, it gives awesome results!! Leaves your lashes looking thick and volumous. Definitely recommend this one!

re-purchased so many times! love this stuff! the waterproof one is perfect! it gives so much volume! holds all day! its works so well on my thin asian eyelashes

This is my HG Night Mascara. This a rich black color and thick formula. It keep the eyelashes curled for a few hours, even when I'm shakin my buns on the dance floor. But because it's not waterproof, it does transfer a little bit underneath the eye. If you don't wear lashes, this is the best mascara for you, also look beautiful with a cat eye. Before you put it on your lashes wipe a little of the formula on a tissue to avoid clumping and your set.

I keep going back to this mascara. I'm always looking for that perfect mascara that's going to make my blah lashes look nice, fat and black, and I'm thinking this is as good as it gets. The formula is not super wet I don't experience much clumping or flaking. I can wear this all day and it doesn't bother my eyes.

This is actually a pretty good mascara. I like the brush, it provides good separation and also volumizes like crazy. The formula doesn't cake or smudge during the day, so that's a bonus. I also find it doesn't give me "spider lashes" like a lot of other mascaras do. I always curl my lashes first, and use a few coats. I would definitely buy this again.

I've been using this since it came on the market. It's as good, if not better than dept store brands. The key is to open it, close it back up and stash it away and let it sit for about a month or two before you use it. Otherwise it is too wet. Amazing lashes!

I absolutely adore this mascara!!!Over the years I've tried over 15 different mascaras and about a month ago I purchased this one from ebay (for only 9$ including shipping!) and it's the best ever!It makes my lashes look full and incredibly black,it stays put all day long,it doesn't make my lashes stick together and it doesn't dry them!I've never purchased a mascara twice in a row but I'm definitely buying this one again! :)

Init ally, I bought this due to the rave reviews. I must say that it's a pretty decent mascara. However, after a few hours, it begins to flake. I had some flakes falling in my checks. It does add volume but it isn't very lenghething Overall, it's decent but not the best mascara out there.
