I never even looked at this color since im a Mac lipstick fan...but got it from BACK 2 MAC...so its a good trendy dark color for FALL 2013 , but a classic i think....THE 90's lips are back!!! DARK browns, berries, black lips, dark vampy everything...so i will rock this with chesnut liner or even burgandy liner can work :)
I wear this with lipgloss just for a darker look not my fav at all...
Gorgeous gorgeous color! It is one of my 2 holy grail neutral browns. It has very warm undertones and doesn't wash me out or fade and look grayish like lots of other browns tend to do. It lasts too, I only have to reapply once a day after lunch usually. Very creamy and feels great on. LOVE this one.
Call me trapped in the '90s, but this is it, the One True Lipstick, for me anyway. I've been wearing it almost daily for a few years now (and the tube is still only halfway used up!). Although it looks milk-chocolate brown in the tube, when applied sheerly this is the *perfect* cool/neutral MLBB (My Lips But Better) brownish-red color for my fair complexion -- it's not orangey on me, unlike the pics here. More matte than satiny or creamy (no shine to it); good coverage with normal application; stays on well. Slightly drying, but I can live with that. Worn like a stain, it doesn't even look like I'm wearing lipstick; it just makes my lips look naturally redder/darker. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, MAC, DO NOT DISCONTINUE "PHOTO"! That is all.
This is one of my favourite evening shades. It looks like a pure brown in the tube, but on my lips it transforms to the perfect warm brown-red/mahogany shade! This shade reminds me of everything 'autumn' and along with MAC's Chili lipstick, is one of my favourite evening shades!
Contrary to the opinion of many other MUA's -- I have used this lippie many many times on myself and on others.
It is a great stain because it equalizes most pigments in lips. If you are too pink, this will neutralize the pink lip without making you look ghostly.
If your lips are too pale, this will give you a "nude" lip without going towards the pinks or reds. Remember, this is using it as a stain.
It is a great lippie too -- I use it as a lippie and use a Red gloss on top and it works beautifully. It is perfect for most darker skins, but I am pale and it is fabulous especially with my red hair (again!).
I have also used this as a great mixer -- for pinks, it tones down and makes it a nude pink. For crazy corals -- gives a soft peachier corally shade. And for reds, tones down a too bright red.
I think this lippie is under rated and under used... everyone should have one in their stash.
This is a real milk chocolate brown . I pair this with shoc o late lipglass and its beautiful. My lips look like glossy melted chocolate. I love it. I have 2 swatches posted. one with and one without lipglass.
I just can't find a better brown lipstick than this one, and I've really, really tried. Like others have said, it's more matte than satin, and I love that. I love brown lipsticks, but even if you've never tried one, test this one. It's such a true brown, not plum-brown, not reddish brown, not pinkish brown. I will keep buying this one over and over.
I usually don't wear brown lipcolor, but this autumn I just felt like it - especially after seeing the Estee Lauder's Chocolate Decadence ad, where the model has this beautiful milk chocolate-colored lipstick on her.
So I went to MAC and after trying out 5 different shades, the SA matched this one.
I have pale skin and quite full lips, but this shade looks simply fantastic - very chic, a very sofisticated matte warm tone, that is absolutely not overboard. Even for daytime.
Love this one. Would repurchase again.
a nice matte brown color with good staying power, does not dry out my lips and you really dont need a lipliner with it but I prefer bb lipsticks to this one.nothing to write home about.
