Hated it. It left my face orange (i got the lightest color and i have pretty tan skin). And as the day went on it would get really blotchy. Tried alot of differnet ways to apply this and they all looked the same.

This is the only foundation that I have found that doesn't feel like foundation. I am more of a tinted moisturizer girl. This one has a kind of runny consistently and is a sheer coverage that is more dewy than matte. It smells like sunscreen right when I put it on my face but smell fades within minutes. Feels good on my dry winter skin and is very easy to blend in. I have fair skin and the Nude Beige matches me perfectly. I have received compliments recently on my skin/makeup when I wear this product so am definitely loving it.

HATE this stuff! It's a very light coverage foundation. Plus it cost me 20 bucks.. if it was decent I would of been fine. But I don't like it at all. I used it a few times.. On top of all the other cons, the smell made me put it down for good. Can't stand it.. The only plus to this for me is that it matched my skin tone perfectly.

Originally I was using Makeup Forever's face and body liquid foundation and it worked like a dream. It was my perfect color and had just the right amount of coverage for my face. Unfortunately the price was too high for my price range so I decided to find something that worked just as well but was cheaper than $38. I went to ULTA and looked all around the store for a match but most of the foundations were too yellow based for my skin. I'm someone who has blue tones in my skin naturally, is on the fair side, and has naturally rosiness to my cheeks. When I saw the ULTA foundation I tested it on my hand along with my MUF foundation and literally the color was so close to being the same it was a miracle. I bought the lightest color they had and it blends in very naturally to my skin. You can't tell I'm wearing it and it's definitely not orangey or too light for my complexion. The smell is a little off putting but that fades away as you apply the foundation. The packaging is very good too because with the pump you won't get too much product (so you eliminate wastefulness) but once it's close to being gone you can just unscrew the cap and retrieve the excess. The SPF and oil-free formula is nice too. It makes protecting my skin much easier in one step. I also have very sensitive skin and my skin has actually felt softer using this foundation if that's even possible. I'm impressed it only cost $12-13. Is it better than my MUF? The jury's still out as far as I'm concerned but this one works quite well and I know I'll get plenty of use out of it. If you plan to buy this foundation, definitely test it out in the store and also bring a sample of your old foundation or tinted moisturizer so you're able to match the shade and you'll know if they have the right color for you.

I like this foundation a lot. It is a liquid, so its not heavy. It has spf15 which is always good and I found a perfect color match. I'm pretty tan and the Medium 01 was just right for me. No complaints. I use very little foundation so this bottle will last a very long time but I would repurchase.

This review is for the Oil Control Foundation.
I didn't find this product to be bad, just mediocre. It's really more of a 3.5 for me, but that's mostly because it was only $6.
The good:
I like the runny consistency.
I like that it blends into my skin without too much effort and looks natural except for the color.
Price
Longevity, I've been running errands in humid, 100 degree heat without an air conditioner and the makeup is still on my skin and it actually looks good and hasn't oxidized.
The bad:
I got the lightest color(Light 01) and while it's a pretty good match for my more light/medium NW20 skin and despite it being too pink and too dark when applied (I got Fair), it isn't noticable enough to be unwearable. I did dust some EDM foundation in Fair Neutral over it and it blended seamlessly.
Limited color selection. I happened to get the only one left and it happened to be a really close match for my skin, so I guess I'm lucky.
Ridiculously sheer, it doesn't cover anything, but I blended my Sonia Kashuk concealer over it and it blended in really well.
Bottom Line: This stuff has a limited color selection, but I guess that makes its sheerness appropriate. This stuff is great if you don't need to cover up a lot ad are not looking for a polished, completely covered appearance. Get it on sale if you are going to.
ETA: I tried this again today and have raised it from 3 to 4 stars. It looks really good in sunlight and while the coverage is sheer, It does a nice job over concealer that can give you the coverage you want. It doesn't irritate my face which has been really stinging lately so that's a good thing.
ETA 12/7/09 The more I use this, the more I like it. I raised it to 5 stars since I've been applying it with the purple Sonia Kashuk sponge. It looks SO smooth and natural on my skin. I've posted a picture of me wearing Light 01 if anyone wants to see the foundation on real and very imperfect skin. :P

This foundation was the worst!
I got the lightest color, and it was still wayyyy too dark and orange!
It was really runny and it did not blend into my skin at all.. and as if that isnt bad enough, it also had a wierd smell to it. Thumbs down to this product!

I bought this cause they were having a promotion of buying a certain price point of Ulta product get a makeup bag full of goodies for free, however I won't be buying it again. It's really running and doesn't provide the best coverage. But at least I got my free makeup bag.

I bought the Illuminating Oil-Free foundation in Fair/Light (I'm an NW20 in MAC) several months ago but only wore it 1 time. I too found it to be waaayyyy too dark and orangey....YUCK! No way will I purchase this again:(

I'm generally not a fan of liquid foundations, but my face color tends to be uneven in the winter, so I need better coverage. I purchased the Illuminating version of Ulta oil-free foundation, and it is great! Unlike most liquid foundations that feel like a mask, this one feels light. It controls the oilies pretty well on its own. I top my foundation off with a dusting of half anti-aging powder and half cornstarch - and my face feels as fresh 10 hours later as it did in the morning! It provides a little illumination, but I wouldn't say it's that noticeable. The color tends to run dark - I have medium skin tone, but I was well-advised to buy the fair-medium shade. The pump applicator is very good and prevents waste. I would recommend this to anyone with oily skin or an oily t-zone - get it BOGO at Ulta's frequent sales (two for $12)! The only reason I didn't give it 5 lippies is that I haven't tried a lot of liquid foundations, and maybe my HG is still out there . . . ?

I bought the lightest shade they made in the illunimating finish foundation and when I got home to see what it looked like I was shocked. It was dark. I can't see how the word fair could be used to describe that product. I thought maybe once I put it on it may lighten out a little, nope...it got even darker and turned an orangy color....I started to look like an umpalumpa. Not cute. On top of all the there was nothing illuminating about the foundation. Even if it had been my color, the finish was clearly matte. I was very disappointed in that purchase and it makes me reluctant to buy Ulta brand beauty items in the future.

I purchased the illuminating finish in fair/light. It looked really dark, but seemed to blend in well so I thought it looked ok, kind of a sheer to medium coverage. A couple of hours later, I looked streaky and orange! I've tried it alone, or over moisturiser, or over a primer with no improvement. The smell is really what turns me off the most. A sweet rancid vanilla. Yuck.

Looks like this hasn't been reviewed in a while, so I'm not sure if it's the same formula as previously reviewed. I bought the Smooth Finish Oil Free Spf 15 in Fair 03.
I have just started using this with a recommendation from my sister. I purchased Fair 03 after much deliberation- hate picking out liquid foundation. Seems like an okay shade for my pale winter skin. The application is nice, goes on smooth and it doesn't feel heavy. Only thing is that it seems to only provide light coverage and I thought it was supposed to be more of a medium coverage foundation. Maybe I need to work on my application a bit more though and see if it's buildable. I just started using a foundation brush and haven't used a liquid in a long time so I need to practice!
EDIT: well, the coverage is just too sheer for me. Good thing I paid pennies for this since Ulta was having some sale.

Before this, I had used L'Oreal's TrueMatch foundation. I needed something to cover up my redness & that I could put powder or bronzer over. TrueMatch did it, but I hated how it made me incredibly oily within an hour or two. When I ran out of it, I decided to try out this product. What really suprised me with a new bottle of it, was that the first couple of squirts from the bottle were pure oil. It stayed that was until I got to the 5th squirt. You can certainly notice that it's VERY liquid, & this bottle has a lot of mineral oil in it, which seperates the actual foundation easily. It has a very heavy smell of talc, but covers incredibly well. Doesn't define my pores & covers up all the redness I need. Certainly doesn't make my face at all oily by the end of the day.
If the oil & talc smell were removed, this would be my HG foundation :] continued >>

I bought this in the Matte Finish for 50% off at an Ulta sale, & I have to say I'm quite impressed. I have combo to oily skin (more oily now in the summer), & I think I might have actually found a replacement for my discontinued HG foundation of Revlon's Mattifying Makeup. Like Revlon's, this is an oil-free foundation with a thinner consistency & light-to-medium coverage. Covers up my pores nicely & is quite good at keeping my oilies at bay. It's SPF 15 too, & the package claims it contains some antioxidants as well.
I wore this on half my face today & Revlon's Mattifying on the other side. The coverage was just identical; I couldn't tell any difference in the appearance when I first applied it this morning or now in the evening.
One thing I do like just a little better about this one is that it seems to feel a little bit smoother applying to my face than Revlon's Mattifying. But for me, it doesn't feel TOO slippery as one reviewer below said it was for her. I've also had no problem at all with this making my face break out. However, the only thing I don't like quite as well on this is the packaging, which is a glass pump bottle. I do prefer the lighter plastic squeeze bottle from Revlon's, even though it's not tremendously attractive.
All things considered, I would definitely repurchase this & recommend it to others, especially for the price. If you don't have an Ulta store near you, it can be purchased at www.ulta.com. I found my new HG foundation! continued >>

I have this in the Moist finish.... I have combination skin and like this foundation and recommend. Best part about it is it's EASY to find your shade... mine's Medium 03.. and it's a pump instead of a tube so it's hassel-free to dispense the product. Also, the finish looks good. Can't even tell if I'm wearing foundation. The coverage is medium yet natural looking. Alot of other foundations tend to be too oily/greasy & shiny and makes it VERY obvious I'm wearing a foundation (I look weird). Or the shade of my face is completely different from my neck...but I don't have any problems like that with this foundation. Also, it has SPF 15. Good foundation, cheap price, might repurchase. continued >>

Have been using this for 1.5 years on acne-prone skin with no problem. Like the choice of finishes--I use the matte, and it has great coverage for as light as it is.
Ulta has testers, so you can play all you want.
I see no reason to switch!

I have been on the quest for a new foundation for my oily/acne prone skin ever since Px Unmakeup was discontinued. When in Ulta one night, I picked up their oil free foundation to try. The color selection is pretty good...a warm, neutral, and cool toned shade for each "category" (fair, medium, etc). I picked Fair #3 which is the lightest cool toned foundation (I'm an NW20). If you are super light complected, you may have trouble finding a good color match.
The foundation has really nice light coverage and blends easily. It did an okay job of controlling my oilies. I just got hooked on LM Oil Free so I wouldn't repurchase this, but it would be a nice foundation for normal to oily skins that need light coverage.
The packaging is really nice, in a pump bottle. It was priced slightly higher than a drugstore product, at $12 for a 1 oz bottle. continued >>
