I got this product as a free sample with some other Mario Badescu products. I did like a couple of them, but this smelled like pure rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol has it's place but it isn't on my face. Like I said some of the other things in the little sample pack I did like but I could spend a dollar and get a huge bottle of alcohol at the store and get the same results.

I like this toner which I was kind of surprised! Like everyone mentions it is super gentle & non-drying. I really probably do not need to purchase toner because my MB AHA liquid face soap completely gets all my makeup off, but so far could not find anything bad about this toner. This was the first toner that didn't dry out my face and have a ton of alcohol in it which was nice. It got the extra stuff off my skin and since it was clear you could actually see what was on the pad. It works great.

I have tried a lot of toners, which include those very expensive ones and the dirt cheap ones, and this is definitely one of my favorite. I use it to clean my mineral foundation, and it does clean my skin and leave me a very fresh feeling. My mom uses it to clean the makeup residue, and she loves it, too. The price is very reasonable. I will definitely buy it again and again!

Cleans skin, a tad strong for supersenstive skin though.

i got this as a free sample with a set they sent me for signing up online with them. as with their other products, i was just not that thrilled with them. they all seem very mediocre, nothing great but nothing awful. if this was something i could just pick up in my local target or drugstore, then i would consider using it, but it is too much of a hassle to have to buy it online and muuuuch more prefer my clinique toner #1 over this. the good news is that it didn't irritate my sensitive, dry skin, or dry it out any more than it normally is.

Another product from my Mario Badescu sample set that I wasn't that thrilled with. This toner is just too mild for me to have much of an effect. It got a little extra makeup and residue off of my skin, from what I could tell from the cotton pad, but it doesn't take the place of an effective toner. Like the previous reviewer, I much prefer the Special Cucumber Lotion toner -- my husband also got the sample set but different products and I found that I liked the cleanser, toner and eye cream he received more than the one I received. The Special Cucumber Lotion seems much more effective at sweeping away flakies, oilies, and residue or makeup that's left over, and has more of a clearing effect that the Aloe Lotion, which really didn't do much for my skin at all. This is an EXTREMELY mild toner and is probably good for sensitive skin or normal skin but not my combination, to oily skin.

This was ok- Il like MB products but I love the Special Cucumber toner much more! this is good for sensitive skin-does not sting and is refreshing-I have acne issues so that is why I prefer the SC toner-

This stuff is pretty decent. It smells pretty good with a hint of alcohol to it, but for some reason it just doesnt seem like its doing anything. :/

I am not a toner expert by any means but I liked this product - seemed gentler than other toners and it smells good although it did nothing miraculous for me. But I should note that a few days after starting the MB routine my face broke out like crazy and I am still recovering. It's a pity as I really wanted to be a MB convert.

This toner wasn't drying in the least bit. Made my face feel nice and clean and felt cooling going on. Good for someone with combo skin.

i like the moisturizing feeling of this lotion..this is also VERY gentle...i dont detect a scent at all nor did i see a dramatic change in my face....i was better off using my $2 dickinsons witch hazel....it does the same job and its way cheaper

Honestly, this toner didn't really do anything for me, so I didn't see the need for it. I got it as a sample and I was so excited to try it, but it didn't really do much.

I really liked this toner....it was nice and gentle,and did the job. Will repurchase eventually,when I use up my other toners that i have stockpiled.
(I have combination skin with minimal fine lines,infrequent breakouts.)

I use this after I cleanse with MB Enzyme Cleansing Gel. It leaves my face feeling clean and soft, with no uncomfortable dryness. It does contain alcohol, but I haven't noticed any irritation or tightness after months of use. No breakouts or clogged pores, which I'm usually prone to. Nice scent, also. I'll definitely repurchase.

I received a sample of this less than a week ago. I only use it once a day, and only on my t-zone. I KNOW if I used it anywhere else, I would have excessive drying, but it hasn't caused any problems on my oily areas. My skin feels soft, and I haven't had any oil slicks. I don't know if I would purchase this again, as I don't normally use toner/astrigent, and I don't particularly care for products with alcohol in them.

mario badescus line lets me down time and again. i have tried several products, and have found only one that i can stand.
this toner is very strong, and left my combination skin (which is not sensitive in any way) burning, itching, and tight. one use is enough to know that i do not like this product, and that i will never try it again. the experience was very unpleasant. it has the signature aqua net scent.

entirely too harsh even for my combination skin.i dont usually use a toner/astringent. it left my forehead and the area between my brows tight, dry and literally flaking off. i have never had this problem with any other product. my nose and chin responded well, but i wont continue to use this. continued >>

There is a strong scent of alcohol which I hate. I do not notice any skin improvement or anything special with this toner. Will not repurchase.

this stuff smells like pure alcohol which makes me believe its not that gentle at all. however i have noticed an improvement in my skin after using it which is a plus. however i won't be purchasing again due to the fact that i like the cucumber cleansing lotion better. it is less drying and seems to be more gentle and works the same way.
