I've been using this since i was 10, on and off. It's a decent product, the smell is quite nice. But it seems to cause quite a bit of hair loss and apparently, it leaves residue in your hair that just makes it seem shiny rather than actually nourishing it - not sure if thats true.
I would not buy this again only because I know that there are better products out there but i really like the scent and pantene does a decent job when i wash my hair :)
This is the worst shampoo I have ever used in my life .. I had to live with this stuff for six months !! and every morning I woke up I had the worst residue build up in my hair it felt like I hadn't washed my hair in a month it was disgusting . worst shampoo ever DO NOT BUY THIS SHAMPOO
im 14 years old and i used this product and it made my hair fall out like crazy to the point where i was crying because i thought i was going bald. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT PLEASE! I use to have very thin hair and now i have thick hair because of Mane N' Tale !

I'm 14 years old, and i already have fair, thin hair as it is. I just recently started using this shampoo and conditioner. At first this product is great, and then after a week or so of usage my hair stated falling out and the ends of my hair stated splitting very badly. For people with thin hair I have learned not to use hair products with the ingredient cearitine, or shampoos and conditioners that say repairs damage because it is actually making your hair more dry and brittle. It is recommended to use voluminous shampoos and conditioners for these hair conditions. This products worked great on my hair: mane 'n tail, biolage and wen products and also a good website for discounts on good hair products is iHerb.com

Reformulation is awful, grew up on this product for years, LOVED it especially in the early 90"s. The product today is completely different. Still searching for a good reasonably priced shampoo that smells decent/not overpowering and is moisturizing but not oily. Sigh...

Even though I like the scent of these products, I found it left my scalp itchy and made it fall out quite quickly.
That's enough to warrant not to re-purchase again.
I'm very careful about looking into the ingredients of shampoos now.
I used this product for color treated hair & another bottle for normal
hair none of them worked for me & so all pantene products I have
used so far I think I will not use any pantene product again. also their
comercial is all the time on TV but I think it`s their should spend
more money to inhance their product instead of spending them
on commercials
PLEASE DO NOT USE PANTENE!!!! I've been a silent reader until now, I've never felt the need to write a review. I've been using this shampoo for the last 2-3 months, and it's made my hair fall out and it is so much thinner. So much hair would fall out when I washed it, and literally every time I touched my hair, it would fall out. The sad thing is, I have fine hair to begin with. I used to be able to get my hair really fluffy and big after blow-drying, but I couldn't get those results anymore because Pantene made my hair so much thinner, and there was so much loss around my roots.
I switched to the Mane n Tail set and have noticed significantly less hair loss, and my hair feels so much healthier, although I imagine you could switch to any brand and notice the same results.
Those with thick hair may not notice the amount of shedding Pantene causes, but switch to any another brand, and you'll definitely notice a decrease in hair loss.
When I was younger I love Pantene. Mainly for the smell, but the shampoo was OK. In my early 20's I made it my shampoo and conditioner of choice. After using it for several months, though, my hair was just COATED in a waxy residue and had gotten very thin! It took my mother noticing for me to understand how bad it really was. I soon realized the hair that was coming out in the shower was way more than normal.
I switched to a more expensive brand, my mother cut a few inches off (the ends were just so thin and brittle) and my hair eventually returned to it's full, healthy state.
I wouldn't buy this ever again. It would be nice if they changed their formula. I remember it smelled so good. Oh, well.
