I bought this on a whim at the Origins store and I'm so glad I did! It's my first sheer stick so I'm not sure if this applies to other colors, but I love the formulation of this lipstick. It's sheer, but it has staying power - lasted all morning,even through drinking my tea. Didn't make it through lunch, but that's ok - I've had sheer lippies fade out all on their own after an hour or two. Clovebud is a fantastic neutral with deep brown red tones. I'm a warm/neutral PPP with black hair and this is perfect for work in my office over the summer. Will definitely repurchase!

Oooh, what an awesome color! I have brown hair with just a touch of red dye remaining in it and a warm complexion, and this really lights me up. Love it! It's pretty soft and creamy so I thought I'd try it as blush as well, and I love that too. I wonder if they make a powder blush in this color...because it would rock. Like others I dislike the chubby pencil format, as I find regular lipsticks easier to apply, and I hate sharpening because it's inconvenient and inevitably wastes product. It was easy to sharpen, however, and not so soft that the tip breaks off in the sharpener, like I've experienced with similar products. The color is dark, somewhere between a burnt orange and deep bronze, but it's sheer and quite wearable. It can be applied lightly for more of a MLBB look too. I apply it heavily because it does fade a bit; on me, it starts off opaque, but after that initial fade I get a sheer color, between that of the stick and my lips, quite a nice result, flattering and natural. It has a bit of soft shine to it, not glossy or shimmery. The texture is moist and comfortable, and it stays in place, unlike some lipsticks which love to migrate all over my face. Overall very good product; I just had to deduct a lipstick because of the silly pencil format.

This is a great product. Great color, great feel. It doesn't last too long, requires touch-ups, but I think it's worth it- it doesn't cake or feel dry.

I got this as an extra in a swap. I am kicking myself for not trying this sooner! It goes on soft and smooth, with buildable color (from barely bitten to a rich reddish hue). I love the fact that I can stick this in my pants pocket and go, without it melting. And I can use it many many times brfore I need to sharpen it. I'm dying to get more!

LOVE this! I often use this as a base for Clinique Black Honey since the colors are almost exactly the same. This one is less moisturizing, but stays on better, hence using it as a base. BEAUTIFUL color, sheer but shows up if that makes sense.

A lot of people hate that this is a chubby pencil, which I understand since it wastes so much product. However at the same time, I love how I can line my lips and fill it in with color at once - I think it's a lot easier applying it with this than with just a regular lipstick. It gives a great natural, reddish "your lips but better" color. I like to top it off with MAC clear lip glass to give my lips a pouty look. :)

I love this product because it does not feel like lipstick. I usually have trouble finding lip products that will compliment my medium-darkish lips and this color works perfectly. Also I love that a little goes a long way. LOVE IT!

This is such a great color and texture. I'm on my second one and I hardly ever buy the same color of something twice. It's a berry red, glossy, sheer stain that I think would look best on brunettes or redheads. The only reason it gets a four is because of the pencil thing. You waste so much product sharpening it. I wish they made it in regular lipstick form. Also, it doesn't have great staying power, but it gives such a nice look it makes up for it.

This color is just about my favorite lip color ever! Perfect for me! Only complaints about this product: I hate that when you sharpen it, you inevitably waste product; and I wish that it was SPF 15. But I have been buying this for years and will continue to do so, as this is one of my few "steadies". Note: I am between LLL & FFF, strawberry blond with blue eyes, truly neutral (not cool or warm). Clovebud is a sheer, warm/neutral-toned pinky/brown with a slight berry tinge. It was actually a bit too warm and brown toned for my cool, light skintone. It left a glossy finish, and had average staying power.

First of all, this product hasn't been discontinued. I tried it after reading the reviews on MUA, and was also impressed. It is a great creamy/glossy formula. Not too thick, but not too thin. Clovebud goes great with my coloring, and probably almost anybody's. It also has pretty good staying power. Even after the moisture is gone, the sheer color is still there. It looks very natural and is great for enhancing your lip color. The price is a bit more than I would usually spend, but I am still very happy with my purchase.

I bought this on a whim several months ago, but since I went from blond to red, this color is the best! (Discontinued? I hope not!) To me it's a reddish-brown color, and the formula is great: Although it's a pencil stick, it feels great on and has decent staying power. I don't carry it in my purse because I'm a little paranoid about the cap coming off.

To me, this product is what Clinique's Black Honey should be. It is almost like Black Honey but actually shows up on my lips. It is not as red as Black Honey though. It also stays put longer and does not bleed and really does moisturize my lips. I will buy it again!

This is such a beautiful sheer berry color. It looks great on lots of complexions. So beautiful!

Horror of all horrors, I think this may have been discontinued, but my beloved clovebud was a perfect glossy rosy berry sheer lipcolor. Given as a swap extra, clovebud has been with me through thick and thin over the past two years, and I will miss you. If you can find any, please snatch them up, you will be so glad you did. And if you want to contribute your to me, that is also great (just kidding!). Rest in peace, clovebud!
