Love this lotion from Coppertone!!! I was presently using the oil-free SPF 15 one (for the face and body,NOT THE COPPERTONE FACES, as I was unimpressed with that) w/out any problems like breakouts, shiny face, etc. However, I have been wearing that one so much that I was starting to look ghostly. Since I have stopped using retin-a, my skin is now more twoard th drier-combo side, as opposed to the combo-oily side. I still cannot wear moisturizers that have oil, particularly mineral oil in them as my pores are very susceptable to getting clogged. So, off I went to the drugstore in the hopes of finding a sunscreen lotion with a lower spf in order to keep my face moisturized, yet at the same time gain a little color in my face (self- tanning bronzers clog my pores) and I came across Coppertone SPF 4, tried it on my wrist, it sunk right in, hence the texture was perfect, along with the scent! I use it regularly now and it does not cause breakouts nor leave a shiny cast (although it contains aloe vera oil, guess that agrees with me since I have not experienced breakouts or clogged pores). Now I hope to achieve a little tan but not the sun damaged -orange-leathery look, lol! So once I achieve the right amount of color, I will go back to using Coppertone's SPF 15, perhaps the Sport one(which is also free of pore clogging oils, etc), since it seems a little more moisturizing than the oil free one I was using before. I really love Coppertone! It's affordable and it is truly amazing how well it works. The packaging, i have to admit was unappealing at first, with the "generic" look, but boy, does it deliver in comparison to more expensive sunscreens. Will definitely repurchase!

Up front I should say that I have been searching for the perfect day moisturizer for years. I have used the elite (i.e. creme de la mer) to the ordinary (i.e. dove) and I have been recently shocked to discover this summer that coppertone moisturizing suntan lotion (I actually use SPF 8 though SPF 4 has the same moisturizing properties) is what I have been searching for!! My skin just glows with a gorgeous translucency when I am wearing it...like baby skin. I was at the Pout counter this past weekend to buy a gloss (fluff my feathers...love it), the makeup artist commented on my skin. I told her I don't like to wear much makeup and she said "you don't need to, you have great skin." I was wearing my coppertone 15 that day and it was then it hit me, I should use it everyday. I usually wear it under stila illuminating foundation. When I wear the stila foundation with other moisturizers, it tends to look more sparkly. Plus, my skin has never not only looked but acted better using the coppertone as a day moisturizer. No breakouts and pore perfect! I should add that I am 34 years old, dirty blonde, blue eyes, medium to fair skin with a few dark freckles on the bridge of my nose and top of cheeks. I use the SPF 15 or 30 if I am actually sitting in the sun. I kept thinking, this is a suntan lotion not a moisturizer but, honestly, it is working better than anything else I've ever tried. I still use a range of different anti-aging moisturizers at night such as Freeze 24-7 moisturizer. Try the coppertone as a moisturizer, not just a sunscreen. Gives you that movie star look without the movie star price though even if it were $50 or more a bottle I would likely have to splurge on it now given how amazing it works!

This is one of my all time favorite smells. Reminds me of the 70s in the backyard by my pool. Great smell!

I know the SPF 4 is way too low for proper sun protection, but this, like all Coppertone lotions, is fantastic. I prefer to use this as a moisturizer. The scent is incredible and always makes me think of summer. For being outside for any period of time, of course, use the SPF 30 lotion. continued >>
