The color is pretty. It's a classic olive (like the fruit) color with golden shimmer. It's nice but I don't think it's worth the money. There are other colors like this that are much cheaper.

I just got this product a couple days ago and it is amazing. I had been looking at it for a while and finally broke down and bought it. I love greens but the gold shimmer to it makes it just so perfect for an all over lid OR paired with a lighter color like a melon or naked.
I have very little fall out problems with this pigment it went on super smooth.

So I'm kinda hooked on MAC pigments circa 'Blue Brown'.
Colour: jade green with golden pear
Texture: creamy
Not that impressive since it's not much of a duochrome as I thought it'd be (I blame the misleading name). It's a nice green, I'll give it that much.

beautiful color! so pretty and versatile. This will work on pretty much every skin tone and looks gorgeous when the pigment is applied wet.

its a beautiful colour, , golden olive is just so beauiful all over eye lid with a darker green on crease with a light white highlighter. i do love this colour very shimmery sheer looking and i thought id hate it first because im not a big fan of the greens but in matter of fact its beautiful.
you can smoke this out to on side of eyes with dark brown and black blended out smoky.

I feel like I owe Golden Olive an apology. A while back I posted a review saying that it made me look "Jaundiced" and it was a bad product, when that was just me not being able to apply makeup well. I was just a teen. This is very versatile. The gold in this makes my green eyes stand out beautifully. Stunning.
Rubenesque Paint Pot on lid/ Golden Olive layered over it/ Ricepaper to highlight and Nocturnelle in the crease looks beautiful.

This was my first ever pigment from MAC, and this was the one to start off my mild obsession with them! I love this colour, its a gorgeous mid olive green with a lot of golden undertones. I don't have a great deal to say about other than it adheres well, it blends well, the colour payoff is OK but honestly it works better with a primer. Works best as an eyeshadow and nail polish, not really sure what else you would do with it...
I have some other pigments similar though... Green Brown, Old Gold, Antique Gold and Copperized when put close together are really similar. So if you are thinking of buying a greeny golden pigment then I would get samples of these pigments to try and find the one you prefer!

I like this colour, a green with string gold sheen to it. It's a versatile colour and looks good on both NC and NW, which makes a good green staple to have. I don't think I'll ever finish using an entire jar though.

This is such a pretty vibrant color. It seems to come out differnt colors on different people. I love pairing it with Moss Scape paint pot on bottom half of lid, golden olive on inner half of eye and humid in crease and outer v. Moss Scape really brings the gold out so the end result really is a beautiful golden olive.

Too charchuse to be "golden olive." Looks prettier and deeper swatched on my hand than it does on my eye. For some reason, when applied to my eyes it looses some of its character and depth and looks like a metallic lime. Not my style at all. I prefer the discontinued and hard to find Night Light pigment over this one. Gave it 2 lipsticks because of the fine, metallic texture.

This is a very vibrant, beautiful lime green color. Its pigmentation is so good it looks like some sort of green-golden metal on your lid. My favorite way of wearing it is with purple/plum/eggplant or black in the outer V/crease, I find the contrast between the two quite impressive. This is exactly how I've always imagined the "green with envy" color would look - paired with the darker colors mentioned above, it really gives off that charming, evil witch sort of quality. The only reason I gave it 3 lippies is because I don't find it to be all that handy or versatile for an everyday woman in her everyday life - how many chances does one really get to wear such a loud, grass-hopper green on the eyes? There are other looks out there one wants to try out or even stick to, so there is absolutely no way you'll ever go throuh that ginormous jar in one lifetime. Sometimes really special colors equal really limited wear prospects - this is one of them. I love the idea around it, I just don't know if it's worth spending the cash since I'll only get to use it so little. Bottom line, I think you would be better off with a similar shade eyeshadow which comes in a human pan rather than a giant one, even if you have to cut down a bit on the color payoff.

This is a beautiful golden green or lime green. I don't wear this everyday but it looks great with Golden Lemon pigment.

I've had this for a few years and more than 3/4 of it is still full and I have the original huge jar one. Beautiful color. If you love greens, this is a must have.if you have the chance to get it, you should. This is the reason I got into pigments.

Great color for many skin tones, eye colors, etc. I am a NC42 with green/blue eyes and the gold in this pigment really pops the amber ring surrounding my pupils. It is also a nice compliment against the warmth of my skin tone. I let a girlfriend (who is much more pale) try this and it was very complimentary to her lighter cool tones as well. It is great for subtle unique every day looks because it is not an in-your-face green but not a boring neutral either.

i love this pigment. I mean i dont use it like everyday or anything but it is a super gorgeous green/gold color that flatters my hazel eyes perfectly! I would definitely recommend this pigment to anyone with brown/green/hazel eyes (well anyone!) but mostly if you have these eye colors it will make them pop out and look beautiful! It is a great color to have in your stash, although I have seen many many colors that look almost identical to this.

This might just be my all-time favorite color, even though I don't use it everyday. I originally bought a sample of this online, then fell in love and found myself using it sparingly in order to "save" it. I love that I can get a soft wash with it as long as I use a blending brush to apply it, or I can get a deep sheen with this color if I use the #239 brush. Either way, I always get compliments when I wear it. My favorite combination is to use a light hand and a blending brush to apply it, then I use twinks in the crease for a little definition and then build contrast with sketch ever-so-lightly applied also with a blending brush. The sketch reads slightly bluish-purple-brownish when applied very lightly and it's an absolutely gorgeous, surprising combination. I finish with a matte highlight color, a nice brown or black eyeliner on my top lashline and some mascara, then pass by the mirror to look at the colors!!!! :o) I will definitely purchase this one again.
ps-I posted 2 pics above of my favorite way to wear golden olive. I used Rated R in the corner, Golden Olive along most of my lid, humid in the outer corner, then I put Sketch over humid very lightly and worked it across the crease and pulled that up a little bit. I then put a little bit of Retrospeck over the Sketch, and a matte highlight color with a yellowish undertone to it (can't remember which one I used)... I hope you enjoy the look.

I had a sample jar of this color, and oooohmygod.
I have green eyes, that naturally are kind of bright, but with this color...
I am in awe. The gold within the green makes my eyes pop waaay more than ususal.
Must have for any eye color in my opinion though.

I cannot rave enough about this beautiful golden tone light green pigment. It's super pigmented and glides on easily leaving the most gorgeous green sheen. Golden Olive has been a staple of mine since I bought it back in 2007 and have still not come across a green I like more. This is coming from a green lover.
