This is the BEST lip butter I've ever owned! When I apply this on my lips at night, I wake up with baby soft lips. My bf always says my lips are really soft when he kisses me and all the credit goes to this product. I seriously love it and recommend it to people who have really chapped lips or live somewhere where there are dry winters.
Wow! Surprised this does not get a higher rating~This is my FAVORITE lip balm! I think the trick with this one is to really exfoliate your lips first~then apply sparingly~too much and your lips get a whitish cast. Also warm it up a bit first~Kind of a pain yes, but my lips are so soft with this stuff. Oh yeah and the SMELL, whoah. The perfect dry "sandy" coconut smell. I have the whole range of coconut from TBS~Makes me feel cozy. :)

I wish I could give this a higher rating, because I love the scent. However, this product is just no good, it made my lips completely dry out to the point of the corners of my mouth cracking, which now hurts. I got one for me and one for my mum for xmas, she loved it at first, but after a week or so it made her lips very dry as well.

For this product the smell won me over. I buy MANY lipbalms and this is a relatively good one. It smells great. ( I love coconut!!!) It does moisturize and become slightly addicting. Sadly, is a bit pricey for its size (quite small), but its The Body Shop so I shouldn't complain, eventhough there are better and cheaper ones out there. This isn't ment to have any colour or shine, which it doesn't, but I just expected it do be slightly better quality and last slightly longer.
It looked cute and compact when I saw it in store so bought it.
Technically i wouldn't mind the price IF it worked but it doesn't so is a rip-off to me.
It left a white film on my lips. At first I thought it was helping my chapped lips but then I realized I couldn't feel the chaps because the layer was so disgustingly thick...a combination of the butter and a white film. EWW!
NB:
the packaging may look cute and compact but it isn't practical with those of us with long fingernails and/or big fingers... so not hygienic

Normally...I love the Body shop...but this is a total miss. Frist off, the packaging is really cute, which is the main reason why I bought it. However, this does absolutely nothing for your lips. If you apply this to your lips, it leaves a white film and it doesn't penetrate into the skin, which is the reason why your lips aren't moisturized afterwards. All in all, don't try this, try the MAC Lip Conditioner instead ^^.

So overpriced, but at the same time, rather addictive. I suggest purchasing this when there are sales, otherwise you'll be a bit ripped off.
This lip butter smells delicious. It smells like dessicated coconut and coconut milk. Its scent is very similar to their Coconut Body Butter. It melts instantly from the warmth of a fingertip, and becomes easy to glide over your lips. It's very moisturizing, and very good to use under lipstick. I also find the packaging to be cute, identical to the body butter, but Barbie-sized.
Yet, I dislike how it gives your lips a white sheen. It's as if you ate cake and your lips still had a glossy appearance from the vanilla frosting -- just not an attractive look. Also, I noticed the lip butter gets a hard, somewhat crusty texture after being used and not picked up for a while. It's kinda gross, in all honesty.
I'm sure you can find lip balms similar to this for cheaper and perhaps, they may even be better, but this is the only one I've found that completely soaks into your lips and lasts for a long time. It doesn't just sit on top of the skin. I really can only describe it as a body butter made for your lips! If you have dry skin, you know how well body butter quenches it, and well, dry, chapped lips will get the same feeling from this lip butter. It's just so good to use under lipstick, that it's hard to pass up.
Like I said, if there's a sale, get it. If there isn't, don't.

I bought this lip butter a few years ago and just finished it about 6 months ago. I did really enjoy it while I owned it. It smelled really good and made my lips feel nice. Although if I put too much on I was left with weird white lips.....if I used a mirror and blending it out properly it would look and feel nice. It was pretty expensive for a lip balm and I got it on sale, plus my friend's employee discount so it wasn't too bad, but I think they retail for 6 or 7 and that's just ridiculous. I won't be repurchasing, there is better out there
I don't find it quite hydrating and that's major con for a lip balm.
But the packaging is nice and smells delicious, although a bit strong.
I use it only during hot months, since it feels more creamy (in the wintertime it's kinda solid which I detest) once in a while just for the smell.
Leaves the ugly white cast others mentioned if applied too much.
Overall I feel that it sits on the lips for a while, hydrates a bit and smells good. Won't repurchase, there are much more effective lip balms out there.
Edit: I found an alternative way so I can finally use this one. I melted 2 half-used red lipsticks, a nivea liposan cherry lip balm, half tube avene cold cream lip balm, half tube neutrogena nourishing gloss and this one. I would use none of them on its own and instead of throwing them away I ended up with 3 medium pots of creamy, coconut- cherry smelling, strawberry colored, glossy lip balm. Not bad at all!
