At first, I thought this was a perfect cheap substitute to my hg cleanser (clarins lait demaquillant). It seemed gentle but thorough. But after a week or so, I was broken out and itchy. The subtle no-scent scent started to smell chemically and cloying to me after awhile. I dreaded using.

Felt nice at first then it seemed to suck the moisture out of my skin.

This is essentially an emollient version of Cetaphil, at least texture-wise. Does tone a little bit, but you'd probably get better results from a separate toner. Haven't tried removing makeup with it, so not sure how effective it is at that yet. It does seem to make my face feel smoother and softer, and not overly tight like some cleansers out there. As of now, I would not purchase again, but I've only used it once, so perhaps I'll repost any new observations later.---Okay, I've removed a full face of makeup with it sans mascara. Does the job, but I prefer to tissue off first before rinsing. Also, you will NOT get a squeaky clean feeling from this cleanser, it's one of those cleansers that you rinse and rinse and keep on rinsing because you can feel something slippy on your skin. I guess the slippiness is what makes your skin soft.
